Anyone who knows me knows I love Nations as People, but actually, I don’t like Polandball.
The characters are really adorable and I love anything anthro countries related (usually), but I dislike it for a few reasons.
Firstly, the fact that it’s all user-driven makes Sturgeon's Law very evident in it, so it can be hard to find the actually good comics.
Secondly, a lot of the comics are agenda-pushing. I know countries are inherently political, but I don’t see the same kind of thing as blatantly in Axis Powers Hetalia or Scandinavia and the World.
Thirdly, the comics all have the same kind of “voice” and I just don’t personally find the sense of humor used in the comics funny. The other two aforementioned comics are more lighthearted, wacky, and have fast paced humor. Polandball comics can be long winded, and the payout isn’t worth it for me in the end because I don’t find the jokes in them funny most of the time.
Reindeer in the direction of reindeerI will send you a PM because I dont want the thread to be closed for bashing. Ok?
Suite Precure, two cures that dont get along is prime writing material! But the series makes them so abrasive and unlikeable that its near impossible to watch.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.I'm going to sound like a broken record, the Star Wars prequels. The movies are the worst thing ever but both Clone Wars series have shown that these are not bad concepts and ideas. If they're written well, they can be likeable.
Nobody cares about spin-offs, the source material is a sin, and Mr. Plinkett is our god.
I feel like The Room would be an actually good movie if it wasn't made by Tommy Wiseau. Don't get me wrong, I still love The Room, but for all the wrong reasons.
The legend has returned.Continuing on Arimo's point, I also like Nations as People.
However, as a former member, I assure you, you're better off studying history in school than entering the Countryhuman fandom.
At its early days, it's a friendly fandom, with some people even making educational posts.
Now, while I still enjoy Countryhuman content, I stopped participating in it actively rather recently, as the fandom gathered a shit ton of toxicity.
So yeah.

I think the Kratt brothers had a few shows before Wild Kratts. As opposed to a sense of wonder I'm used to in most nature documentaries, the Kratt's give me a sense of excitement. It's very refreshing.
Fake interactivity as a whole. If you want the audience to be involved with your media, make an actual interactive movie.

Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de, specifically the anime, is my main one. Loved the concept (personified game series parodying game history, and I already love game-related personification stuff), but the series was just... not very good, and not even in an enjoyable way. (Haven't read the manga aside from a few pages but I suspect it's not much better)
Specifically, it seemed to take itself too seriously for what it was (it's like they wanted to do both a game parody thing and a serious fantasy story but didn't get either right), pacing was weird and did not work for being squeezed into just 3 episodes, and the characters being introduced as the main villains had... I think less than 5 minutes total screentime throughout all episodes, and didn't even get to meet the main heroes?

My favorite failed console tbh![]()
Heard Dora was supposed to be an Affectionate Parody of old adventure games (the arrow clicking), but course that doesnt make the Fake Interactivity any less fake.
- The premise: The world is ending and you need to use the Book of Prophecy to write the new world by manipulating the "code".
- The execution: Mediocre Zelda clone with too many half-assed gimmicks.
Cuties, I haven't seen it but apparently it's the worst thing ever.
Okay so I decided to give OK: KO a go because I heard a lot of praise for it and I like superhero stuff, especially "little guy in a big superhero world" stuff. So far it leaves a lot to be desired in my eyes and is also waaaay too "Steven Universe" for my tastes. If anyone wants or needs me to elaborate on that last one I will.

Have you ever liked the idea of a show, but disliked what the final result turned out to be, thinking it could have been better or, at least, more interesting?
Think about it, The Loud House could have been more like Malcolm in the Middle, IMO.
