Akira shifts his weight as he sizes up Rinka’s avatar.
Meh, best to just go along with whatever. Takes all kinds to play.
He gives a little smirk and bounces two fingers off his temple in a lazy salute. “Yo! Name’s Akira.”

Rinka nods at the trio in as they each make their introductions in turn. "Alright. So, uh, this is the mission I had in mind." She turns towards the counter and points towards one of the missions displaying on the screen.
Pilot of the RX-00 Tempest
He would read that listing a few times over, looking around and actually seeing the group gathering in the Hub itself. "Well, this is a stroke of fortune." Caelum spoke to himself. But without much else, he walked on over, adjusting his virtual hair. Taking a slight breath he cleared his throat and spoke up to the gathering players. "Hey uh, were y'all the group that posted the LFG? I noticed you still need a Striker type and I happened to have logged in with one. I'm Caelum by the way."
The current mission was an Escort Mission, Lunar environment, face off against Zeon hit squads and protect the APC caravan as it made its way to the lunar spaceport.
It had been apparently based on a sequence from Gundam The Origin.

Just to be stopped in his tracks by Caelum's self-introduction.
"Hey Largomech, that's your call, do you wanna add him to the group?"

"Mhm..." Lagomach rubs her chin while she reads the listing. There were a lot of things that could go wrong with these sort of things, especially in small groups, but they were often rewarding too... "Sure, looks cool to me"
Fortunately another arrival offered to relieve a bit of that problem. Though Dark seemed a little cautious, she just shrugged at him and said "More the merrier, right?" before addressing Caelum with a polite smile "We'd be happy to have you along"

He gave a bit of a smile, he moved into a bit of salute. If we was accepted into a group, especially with the specific type of mission set out for them. "Caelum, pilot of the RX-00 Tempest, reporting for duty. I'll be your man on offense and taking out as many enemy mobile suits as possible, if you'll let me. I don't have much in way of defense so I'll be relying on you." He would even open up a window and move it in front of the others. On the display shown the schematics of his gunpla. A combination of the Qan[t], 00, and Banshee. A ballsy combination of kits. "Hopefully showing my MS will help out."

Akira puffs out his chest and crosses his arms proudly. “Hnhnhnnnn-! You won’t have to worry about defense while I’m around~.”
He leans forward to study the Tempest display more closely. “That said, though...that’s some high tier power building you got there. Can’t imagine all the time it musta took.”

"It's when he tries to go on offense that you have to worry" Lagomach teased in response to Akira's boast "But yeah, that's a pretty impressive piece of work" She nodded as she looked at the schematic, quietly trying not to be jealous of having that many parts to work with "Well we've got a sniper and support, plus I'm pretty good at the long range, so covering you while you keep the enemy off us and the escort should work pretty well"
With the mission locked in, a timer began, "Please enter the launch zone to begin the mission," the automated voice said. Everyone's mini maps would start blinking towards the launch zones.
Mission Counter —> Lounch Zone
"This took long enough."XxX_DarkEdgeMaster_XxX uses the fast travel sytem to be transported to the lounch zone and makes sure that Alphecca is properly set up.
"Weapons are good. Pseudo psycommu system online. A.L.I.C.E is go."
He sits into the 360 degrees panoramic cockpit, a very close copy of the cockpits of the 90s Universial Century.
"Testing comms 1, 2, 3. Can you hear me?"

"Ah, time's up. Guess we'll just have to wing it" Lagomach gave a friendly not quite military salute to the group before heading out herself "See you in the field!"
Launch zone
Before long the bunny girl was seated in her own suit's cockpit watching the launch preparations complete. "Yeah, Lagomach here, I hear ya on my end." She grins and grips the controls as her launch begins "Here goes, P110-NIX Scrap GM taking off!"

Akira’s comms crackle to life as his core lander slides into the back of his mobile suit.
“Akira here, loud and clear!”
He cracks his neck as he takes position in the G-Trace system’s circle.
“Catapult clear, systems:All Green. Let’s go! Gundam Aegis...IGNITION!
”
The catapult launches the sleek red machine forward, out of the bay doors...
~Fly in the sky-~
...And then starting to plummet toward the ground below
“GYA- Oi! Boosters, BOOSTERS!”
The backpack boosters kick on, sending the machine back toward his team.

"MGX-01 Alphecca, here we go!"Alphecca is shot out of the launch tube and follows the team white doing pirouettes
and barrel rolls in a repeating rhythm, while having the 4 camera bits already flying ahead of the group to scout the area. "Hmm Hmm Hm Hm Hm Hmmm Hmmm" he keeps humming to the tune of his BGM.

Rinka frowns as a newcomer forces themselves into the group but doesn't say anything since everyone else is just rolling with it. When the mission timer pops up, she turns and leaves the others as she makes her way to the launch zone. Climbing into the cockpit of her Gundam, she ignores the chatter of the others and waits for the mission to begin.

Catapult
Caelum took his place in one of the catapults. His hands gripped the controls of the standard GBN cockpit. "GN Particles charging to capacity. Boosters are good. Caelum, RX-00 Tempest, rage on!" The three GN Drive system roared to life, golden particles bursting out from the shoulders and back of the Tempest. He moved forward at full throttle, his Gundam taking the skies as he followed the rest to the mission gate. He always loved this. The initial launch. Pushing his machine to top speed and flying through the skies he named his avatar after.
The environment around them changed, a lunar base and a single APC appeared. A time limit appeared on their HUDs, as well as a set zone, about 30 km out.
"Okay! We need to get moving, Zeon will be on us any moment!" The NPD in the APC shouted, the APC shook and then wordlessly set off, it seemed easy, no sign of attacking suits... yet.
Lunar Space -> Lunar Surface
Edge sends 2 of the camera bits to scout ahead of the Armored Personnel Carrier and the other 2 to patrol on its flanks, giving him a nearly unobstructed panorama of the lunar surface."OK, my bits are scouting for hostiles. It would be nice if someone would play bodyguard for the car. I'll stick to rear guard."
He says while readying his Sniper Rifle and sends 2 of the Reflector Bits between himself and the APC.
He stays 6 kilometers behind nearly losing the APC behind the horizon. If it weren't for his Bits flying at a height of over 100 meters extending his scout range to over 18 kilometers[1]

"I'll handle the front!" Rinka's voice rings out as she maneuvers the Dark Barbatos to run alongside the front of the APC. From her spot next to the moving vehicle, she looks directly ahead and in the cockpit of her Gundam she prepares to use the hooks on her suit's arms at the first sign of danger.

“Guess I’ll take up flank defense, then!”
Akira maneuvers to the right side of the APC, locking his shield into place, idly wondering how it’d look with some beams in the side gaps.
He also takes a moment to chuckle at the irony of protecting a Federation carrier with a Mobile Suit whose main body was made by Zeon.
Regardless, he cracks his neck, draws his beam axe’s handle, and twirls it idly between his fingers, glad for the dexterity provided by the Trace system.
“Here we go, folks.”
Lunar Surface
Lagomech also takes up a position a bit further ahead of the APC, ready to jump back to help the other two at close range or join their newest companion in taking the fight to the enemy as the situation demanded. Though she idly contemplates that her own heat axe might be redundant with Akira and Rinka at close range, at least she had plenty of backup weapons. "Showoff" she mutters off the comms as Akira fiddles with the weapon.
Flipping the comms back on the bunny girl calls out "Alright, target looks secure for now, just need some bogeys"
It almost seemed to easy, this environment was pretty open, nowhere to hide... where would they come from? The APC trudged along and was making good speed, all was quiet... too quiet.
Lunar dust was kicked up as an explosion shook, if anybody had set their sound systems to "Arcade" they would hear the explosion rock the surface, the NPDs in the APC started to panic, and over the horizon would come the sight of several Zeon Mobile Suits.
Something was off, around this time the Zaku-I was in use and thus would've been the choice option for this mission, however flying towards the party was 3 Geloogs and 2 Doms.
Seems things had been adjusted for balance.
Lunar surface 6 Kilometers behind the APC
"5 mobile suits approaching, it's Googs and Doms. They should appear on your HUDs now."Edge shares his scout data and lets the Reflector Bits take position to take a shot at one of the Gelgoogs beyond his horizon.
Alphecca lies back using the waist- and back-mounted binders for a stable tripod position. Now lying on the back in an elevated position the Beam Sniper Rifle is stabilized using all 4 limbs of the mobile suite in a very anachronistic "Back Positon". [1]
◊[2] "Hmmmm, the difficulty is much higher than the setting would imply." he pauses. "A.L.I.C.E. keep a lookout with 2 of the Camera Bits." 2 Bits stay focused on the approaching group, while the other 2 keep patrolling the flanks in a half-moon shape.
He takes his first shot...

The sound of the explosion drowns out Edge's words, though the scout data he sends over proves useful in the face of the lunar dust interfering with her field of vision. Hearing the sound of a beam firing, Rinka lets out a low growl as she tilts her Gundam out of the way of Edge's shot and quickly advances towards the approaching enemies.
"Slow them down so I can wrap them up," she tells Edge over comms.

He adds and crosses his arms returning to a posture more fitting to his character's look.
