Dewicked the remaining two.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Okay, cut is done.
Whoever's doing the epitaph: the trope was formerly Napier, then Conman in Mark's Clothing...

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportMaybe something like "It was actually a set of chairs in the mark's clothing."?

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI voted to cut because it's covered by Violin Scam and The Con Within a Con, not because it wasn't thriving. Underusage doesn't help, but redundancy is a bigger problem.
So, it was actually two tropes in a Totem Pole in the Mark's clothing.
Or whatever. ... Frankenstein's Monster Refs, or something could work too. Eh.

Seriously, people, this entire site DESPERATELY needs better communication. At this point, I will have now to re-launch freshly cut trope.
Can someone please provide the pre-existing version of the article? Would make re-launch so much easier. EDIT Never mind, wayback got me covered

~Betoniarz: You'll want to curate the Needs Wiki Magic Love pages, then. A bit of time with that project and it should help you understand.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Instead of curating things from it, I just pick works from it that I know and expand on them. Seems far more productive than "Hey guys, what do we cut down today?".
The fact that tropes being cut is either not announced or you learn about it when the cleaning already started (like with Fake Mark, which I only know about due to having The Sting and The Handmaiden on watchlist) is a serious problem in moderation, as far as I'm concerned. A handful of people makes a decision what to cut, instead of helping to expand a trope. That's probably the laziest way of "solving" the problem, especially since everyone else learns by proxy or by finding out trope they were using prior no longer exists.
tl;dr TVT needs to work out better communication as a whole.
This is getting off-topic. It should be discussed in this wiki talk thread.
I definitely see where you're coming from, but I think it would be better to discuss the issue here.
I think we're almost done here? Trope cut, and dewicked, after all.
We just need an Trope Epitaph before Morgue-ing?

(Don't) take me home.I like that.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
If you can find more examples, you can just remake it in TLP and give it a second chance at life. However, if something isn't thriving, there's a problem with that thing- oftentimes it means the trope is too narrow or specific.
