Does that mean there's a reboot still in the works or has it been cancelled? Your wording is confusing.
Robyn Byrd's involvement makes me feel a little better about the reboot, and less annoyed by Billy West's jumping on-board.
I still think this is a pointless reboot.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!
I think she was also concerned of unwanted harassment towards anyone that chose to be involved who might not even be aware of John's past.

Like creepy stories? Check out my book!Have Stimpy but Ren is absent because he's in prison
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverAccording to Billy West on The Ship-It Podcast, returning producer Vanessa Coffey
has joined the cast of the reboot. (9:27)
The cast? She was never a voice actor, to my knowledge... If he means "the crew," then good for her and good for the show.
EDIT: That's not what Billy said. He said she's working on it. I assume in a producing position. I reiterate - good on her. She was one of the brilliant executives who made the original possible.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Another crew update: Awesome Inc
., the production studio behind this revival, recently updated
their site with new crew members.
Some notable talent includes:
- Bob Jaques (another R&S director alumnus)
- Richard Ferguson-Hull
- Owen Fishback
(potentially Promoted Fanboy moment)
- José Pou
- Helder Mendonca
(Alumnus animator from Adult Party Cartoon)
- Chris Ross
(Alumnus animator from the original series and Adult Party Cartoon),
- Chris Sauve (Alumnus animator from the original series
and Adult Party Cartoon)
- Steve Stefenalli
(Alumnus from Adult Party Cartoon)
- Jamie Oliff
(Alumnus from the original series
' first season)
- Jamie Sutton. (Who worked on the original series
)
This is not a fake, by the way
, so good on Bob Jaques. He still hasn't been paid in full for Adult Party Cartoon.
And, for that matter, the number of Carbunkle guys who are involved. Good on them too.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."As an addendum, Owen Fishback
specifically noted he's a character layout artist, on his Twitter bio, for the series.
Happy happy joy joy, we got leaked character sheets
of Ren, Stimpy, and some walrus in a tie!
I'm already hearing good things, like how Ren looks like a mix of his Spumco and Games Animation variants!
Looks very Season 2 inspired (even the walrus I believe was a one shot from a Season 2 episode). Probably the first time since then that Ren looks like a cute goofy dog instead of a grotesque naked old man.
But yeah, while I like it looks faithful to the 'peak' era, I hope they remember the whole point is that the show doesn't stay on-model.

X2: Having model sheets doesn't necessarily have to mean "being on-model" on a strict sense. While some sheets have specific guidelines, it's supposed to be a springboard on what the character basically looks like, and allow for interpretation from there.
Furthermore, as established in the previous page, there's a bunch of returning alumni from the previous iterations. I think they're well aware.

There were indeed model sheets done for the original show in the 90s. You can see some of them in the style guide
, released in 1992.
Most of the cartoons that followed in R&S' path also used model sheets - Cow and Chicken
, for example, used them, and that show was full of hilarious, off-model expressions.
