Sure, let's make this definition-only. I believe I'm the 12th vote.
Serac, Karxrida, Tomodachi, Gaston Rabbit, Fernando Lemon, War Jay 77, ccorb, jandn2014, Crossover-Enthusiast, Adept?, Fireblood, mightymewtron seem like they supported the motion. Some others wanted IUEO though
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm fine with definition only. I think we agreed that in-universe examples can go to Persecution Flip.
Definition-only
Counting the last two that's fourteen in favor, with no one objecting. I think we have consensus.
OK, carried out the example cut. Question is what to do if anything with wicks.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMaybe find the wicks that would be suited better under Persecution Flip and change them to that.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Move to Persecution Flip if applicable, otherwise cut. And if any is unclear, bring it up here, we'll decide what to do with it.

I'd like to apologize for all this.Found this under Ad Hominem:
- People facing ad hominem accusations of misogyny, racism or homophobia commonly respond with counter-charges of misandry, reverse racismnote and heterophobia, respectively, thereby fighting fallacy with fallacy. Some, however, define sexism and racism solely to be "prejudice plus power" so that the dominant group alone is guilty of it. This becomes an issue of definitions then.
Wick is in bold.
I'm gonna cut it.

Rock'n'roll never dies!Tagging this for cleanup. Wicks need to be processed, with examples being moved to Persecution Flip if they fit there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's only got 200+ wicks, so not too much work. But what should we do about Het Is Ew on Just for Fun pages, or stuff like Pantheon pages?

I suggest removing them from all pages except archives and sandboxes.
What about when it's used in shipping-related contexts, as it's meant to be?
I'd like to apologize for all this.Fan Speak terms can still be used and referenced; they just cannot be listed as examples and examples should be removed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat about potholes? Most of them are just editors being cheeky, but there were a few used as relevant redirects for clauses that were appropriate descriptions of fandom behaviors and were located on the correct page to talk about that thing.
I would say keep it in potholes and within examples if it's referring to Yaoi Fangirls, slash shippers, and the like.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Ah, well. Already purged a few, but they were debatably weak cases or suffered from overloaded potholing anyway.
The definition on the Queer as Tropes index needs to be changed, as it's using the wrong definition.
Should we also change the page's quote, since it also reflects the wrong definition?
I'd like to apologize for all this.Yeah, find a quote that talks about shippers specifically as opposed to general revulsion for heterosexuality (which is just Persecution Flip).
Does this work for Queer as Tropes?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I'd get rid of the jokingly part personally. The reason the jokes exist is as either self-deprecation or a self-aware jab at those who think that way unironically and gave rise to the trope in the first place.
Taking into account, it's otherwise fine.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Put the new description in; which I'll also add to the page's Laconic. I'm currently sifting through wicks and incorrect potholes.

I'd like to apologize for all this.
Do we have enough consensus to turn this into a definition only page?
