This thread is meant to be a place for people to ask questions and request discussion about existing page images they have concerns about; this can be used to determine if a thread should be made to replace an image.
For example, questions about Just a Face and a Caption concerns, whether a picture requires additional context, whether a picture demonstrates all of the necessary aspects or a trope, or whether a trope better demonstrates a related trope can be asked here.
Mod edit: Before posting here, please check the page source to see if the page has previously been discussed in Image Pickin'. Your question may already have been brought up in a prior thread.

I think what's happening is that Jasper (?) is attacking... someone... Not-Steven whoever they are... and the attack poofs them into their gem state.
Not understandable if you don't understand how gems in SU work, and still hard to get if you do.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThe image requires knowing that Steven Universe characters "get hurt differently" and monochrome artstyle isn't helping.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupCan you tell that the pic on IThoughtItMeant.O To R is an example of Open the Iris? I really can't.
There seemed to be a lot of concerns about the Open the Iris one (and the UST one), so I'm taking it to thread.
Aside from the fact that we, ironically, don't have permission to use the image on Fan Art, can you tell that this is fan art? Anyone who frequents this forum will be well aware of how hard it can be to tell really good fan art from official material. The Mega Man franchise has dabbled in the Intra-Franchise Crossover before, so without the caption it's hard to tell that this isn't some obscure but official piece of Mega Man art. Fan Art might be hard to illustrate, as it's technically a genre.

My thought would be to use a fanart corner from some YouTuber's videos, but I'm not sure if we'd, y'know, need blanket permission for that. Alternative would be to find some character making fanart In-Universe.
Lotta comments about Self-Damaging Attack Backfire, so I'll take that one to thread.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I kind of have a problem with the picture for One-Scene Wonder, because it's a picture of Christopher Walken in a movie he was the main antagonist in, The Rundown (and it's not even a still or poster image from that movie, it looks like it's from a Cracked article or something), so not a OSW. Further, the caption mentions Walken is "in the role of a lifetime" Pot Holed to Type Casting, as though One-Scene Wonder is what Walken is known for.
And that's not really true, given that he's usually a lead or a supporting character in most movies/tv series he appears in.
But I don't know if it's a big enough deal to change the image.
Having some trouble with some unlucky numbers...
Number of the Beast - We don't have permission to use this Deviant Art wallpaper, but honestly is it that helpful? It's just a red 666 and pentagram on a black background.
Mystical 108 - it's just a mala. Yes it has 108 beads but is anyone honestly going to count?
Four Is Death - Another one we don't have permission for the current, but I did have an idea for a replacement, unlike Number of the Beast - "Oh, we can use the scene from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind where Mista talks about tetraphobia", I thought, but then I noticed he has the page quote and one of the videos - one scene can't have all three right? Would the panel from the manga be preferable over the scene from the anime as the video is from the anime?
Check sources. Mystical 108 has two previous threads behind it. I would not pull without replacement.
What exactly is the Worldbuilding image about? Is it a pun because the movie features a planet being built?
oh hey how are you doing?
It's apparently supposed to be a Visual Pun, but it's too dark to see what's going on. The caption is also a train wreck.
Yeah that's incomprehensible to us.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.
It's not very clear without the caption.
What's terrifying about Terrifying Pet Store Rat?

Yeah, the trope is domesticated animals being used to play rabid versions of themselves or monsters for drama or horror, and I think the current shows that.
Macron's notes

Ignoring the terrible quality, how do we feel about the pic for Uncredited Role?
