Even though it has a lot of text, panels 8 and the last one might work.
Eh, the Oot S examples feels more like Min-Maxing than Cheese Strategy. If the half-ogre was only fighting Roy with this combination of tricks it would be a Cheese Strategy, but instead his entire build is optimized for this one specific technique that he appears to use in most combats.
Would the all White Mage strategy for the end boss of the first Final Fantasy game, as shown in 8-Bit Theater count? Is it too text heavy?
For reference, it's from two panels in the strips 1222
and 1223
.
It's in Tropes Needing TRS, so yes. I'm surprised it wasn't unlaunched.
Here's the issue: while both the OOTS suggestion or 8-Bit Theatre would be called cheese by their respective fandoms, neither meets the trope definition (which explicitly requires a strategy that requires little player skill or knowledge).
Actually, we should probably just remove the line about requiring little skill; then all the current examples would fit and the image would be way easier. And it would no longer be subjective.
"Strategies widely disliked by the fandom" strikes me as a decent page topic. It does need YMMV and Audience Reaction tags, but it's a nice complement to pages like Scrub.
I think the problem is we try to steer clear of new tropes that could attract complaining.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. It was just launched...can't we just unlaunch it? Why does it need TRS?
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall

This page was just launched, and the image does a poor job illustrating the concept. It just shows 2 cheese icons above a health bar, and it isn't clear how it's an example if you're not familiar with the game the image came from.
