So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

How do these look?
- Isao Sasaki is one of the most well known anisong singers in Japan, and he has an extensive career as an actor and voice actor. However, his page is rather small at the moment, especially when compared to the late Ichiro Mizuki. His page could use some expansion.
- Seiji Takaiwa is one of the most well known Japanese stuntman of the Heisei era. Beginning his career in the late 80's, he made his debut as DragonRanger in Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, before appearing in several other Super Sentai series and playing almost every primary Kamen Rider of the Heisei era (earning him the nickname Mr. Kamen Rider). Despite being well known among the Tokusatsu fandom, he does not have a page... yet.

How's this for Projects Spotlight?
- Misaimed Marketing was recently renamed to Misaimed Merchandising in TRS. While all examples not on the page were cleaned up, it has been discovered that the examples on the page were not properly gone through. If you'd like to assist in cleaning those up, head on over!
My entry for Obscure works:
- Blood Sun Vendetta is a web-animated show created by Mick Lauer that premiered on YouTube on October 28, 2020. The show is heavily inspired by the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga series from Hirohiko Araki, which Mick Lauer himself is a longtime fan of, having also voiced Leone Abbacchio in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
Taking place across Mexico in 1999, the story follows Jose Hijo del Caballo, son of the criminal Hol Horse, becoming involved in strange occurrences happening across the country, and meeting others that possess the power of a Stand, seeking to find the epicenter of whatever is behind this.
With cues from the manga, expect the usual over-the-top creativity found in JoJo. Mick Lauer describes his work as a natural step for making an original story based on influences from favored works.
What should we note for the changelog? The only one I'm aware of is the disambiguation of Katanas Are Just Better.

The most important change is the deprecation of the TRS Queue and using the TRS Batch Drop Queue during a transition period.
For specific tropes, we have a lot of decisions: cutting of The Law Of Fan Jackassery and Maturity Is Serious Business, the rename of Ace Of Spades, the disambiguation of Practically Joker, the redirecting of Kewpie Doll Surprise, the expansion of The Hunter Becomes the Hunted, moving Avoid the Dreaded G Rating to trivia, cutting Hospital Paradiso in favor of launching Meaningful Job or Cushy Job and undoing the soft-split of Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale.

I've filled the Changelog out with the mentioned changes. How did I do?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper Wall
It looks OK, but the Hospital Paradiso entry could use a little more context on what was the intended use. Also throw in the rename of Both Sides Have a Point to "Both Sides Have a Point" Remark.
Yeah, that's better.

Set the World on Fire is another trope that's getting cut, due to being a poorly defined stub. I'll add that to the sandbox shortly.
EDIT: Typo

Have we decided on a picture of the year?
And do we have sponsor ideas?
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallCountry Matters was also disambiguated this/last month as well, btw.

Working on Sandbox. The Amazing Race TV Tropes Edition.I think I'll add Hatsuyume for the PNH trope, since that's a trope that's conveniently: about the new year (technically New Year's Eve), underused, pre-historic and something I didn't know existed until today.

Should we find an Image for this month before we make our IOTY poll?
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AWill do. Also, the ping didn't work — I just came here to check on the thread and happened to see this. Though, the situation with Set the World on Fire has changed a bit as the decision to cut it is currently being discussed/questioned.

Poe's Law has been made YMMV, as the trope's definition (parody/satire being confused for the real thing, or vice-versa) was deemed subjective. TRS thread here
.

And as for me, I'd go for either Ironic Episode Title or Critical Failure; though I'll admit to having picked that last one because it had male-on-male romance and orcs (and also because I'd read the comic way before it was suggested, so I was happy to see it get recognized).
Since we're in January now, you can also start picking Image of the Month; maybe there's something really good there.
