So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

All right! With the image done, all we have left is to do a grammar check (~Twiddler) and launch the article.

I tweaked my bio and want to note to Twiddler that "Giftmas" is not a typo; it's the word I use for the Dec. 25th holiday (since I'm a very secular celebrator).

I focus on obscure 1990s or graphic Middle Grade Literature novels and dolls. (She or zie, not they.)When are we gonna go live. It seems ready.
Also, I think next year, we'll need to issue this at an earlier date.

Well, the winners this year were:
Personally, either Ironic Episode Title or The Inverse Law of Fandom Levity or the most interesting ones to me.

Welcome To Ideals' WorldFor my entries, I think I'll make a Trope Spotlight entry on Admiration-Based Mimicry. As for works, maybe I'll do Touhou Spell Carnival.
Edit: Also for works, I'll make an entry for Patrick Mc Hale.

Alright, here are my entries:
- We all had our heroes and idols that we often look up to and aspire to be. One way to show that is by copying some of said heroes' gestures. Admiration-Based Mimicry is all about emulating your idol in small but noticeable ways. Launched last December, why not take a look and try emulating it yourself?
- Touhou Spell Carnival is a fangame based on the Touhou Project, developed by Sting Entertainment and Compile Heart. The plot of the game revolves the titular Spell Carnival, where the various characters must use their spell cards to wage battle. Reimu joins the carnival in order to find out what the true motives behind the battles are.
- Patrick Mc Hale is an American animator, writer and director. He is best-known as a staff member behind Adventure Time, the mad mind behind Over the Garden Wall and a writer for Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. Despite being popular and well-respected in the industry, he has yet to have a page here, so let's peel back the bushes and give him an entry here.
I think it would be pertinent to mention the recent TRS changes somewhere, including the new 200-thread cap and deprecation of the TRS Queue. Where should we put it?
Also, should we mention the new "wick check" button in the Changelog?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallGonna write an entry for The Twins Effect under Non-English works, due to the film being in Mandarin.
Working on Sandbox. The Amazing Race TV Tropes Edition.Any idea on what should the Image of 2024 be (among the 'image of the month' entries that were used during this year)? My personal vote is Butterfly of Transformation.
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AAs I said above, my votes were for either Ironic Episode Title or The Inverse Law of Fandom Levity

Welcome To Ideals' World

This issue's featured image comes from White Christmas, and illustrates Happy Holidays Dress.
Christmas is a time where people often have lavish holiday pageantry. And with over-the-top holiday pageantry come over-the-top holiday dresses themed specifically for the occasion. White Christmas is one of the quintessential holiday movies from The '50s, an era of fashion where women's dresses took on huge volume and length to counteract the austerity imposed from the prior era and help set much of American Christmas imagery.
The lavish style of dress carries over to the stage production version this image comes from, with the dresses front and center. They're the perfect shade of holiday ornament red, from the curved sweetheart necklines to the ballgown length hemlines. Add in the white fur trim and shimmering accents, jewelry, and Opera Gloves, the dresses evoke visions of candy canes and Santa Claus to dance in one's head next to the sugarplums — and the sharp red suits on the men and top-to-bottom decorated tree in the background help sell the image. You're not mistaking these outfits for Arbor Day denim wear — the picture croons Christmas like Bing Crosby himself. A perfect image from head to toe. Happy Holidays, all!
Put it in the report as well.
