So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

Since I don't think anyone shared their input on which trope to do for PNH, which should we do for this month? Soapbox Square
or To Catch Heroes, Hire Villains
?
I have provided links to the drafts. Whichever we don't use can be set aside for next month.
Finally got my entry done:
- Charley Harper is a nature artist like no other. Instead of realistic illustrations of animals, Harper's illustrations use a geometric yet elaborate style that is a true feast for the eyes.
Given how birds tend to appear in Christmas illustrations, and how December 8th is Charley Harper Day, this would be the perfect month to give this creator a page.
Given that this is a creator page, should I put this entry in Works Needing Pages or Creator Spotlight?

Welcome To Ideals' WorldPNH update: Gave the To Catch Heroes, Hire Villains write-up a final look-over, and... as is, it'll be a better fit in Obscure Tropes as written. There's not enough focus on the trope itself; it looks like it's treated like an afterthought.
I'll add Soapbox Square, since it's ready. TCHHV is in the Ideas sandbox so we can cover it later. Maybe with a more focused write-up.

Since no one beside adamsbergz said anything else on it, I made write ups for the ADC and AT threads and the Shocking Voice Identity Reveal, since I admittedly know nothing about Thomas.
- The Amazing Digital Circus quickly became one of the most popular indie web animations this year, reaching over one million views in its first month alone. Unfortunately, this also brings in a lot of shoehorning and trope misuse. If you can you can hope by the Amazing Digital Cleanup
thread and help out.
- Among Cartoon Network's lineup, Adventure Time is definitely one of the most beloved there. With it's charming characters and fun, often surreal plots, it's loved by so many, young and old. However, since the pages conception, it suffered problems like ZCEs, natter, and violations of the Examples Are Not Recent. So you come along and hop by the Adventure Time cleanup
?
- As you need a disguise for whatever reason, it is also important to change your voice in order to make it more convincing. Hence why, when you real voice is revealed, a Shocking Voice Identity Reveal is soon to follow. The trope only 46 wicks across the wiki, so being able to discover and learn about this mysterious yet familiar voice is granted to a suprise.
I have an idea for something to put in the "Pages that need help" section
This is a collaborative wiki with nearly 4,000 pages, but there are only 3 trope examples, all by me. I don't even feel motivated to add more at the moment myself, but I feel like the community is a good place to turn. And I am also a relatively new editor, so fixing any mistakes or bad examples would help a great deal too.
I'm not trying to become an actual full-time contributor, this is just a suggestion.

He has returned, but WHY?I don't remember if we're still restricting Pages Needing Help to things pulled from the "needs help" indexes or not; if not then I think it's fine to add it. Otherwise it could probably squeeze into New Work Pages since it hasn't been that long.
Edit: Oh right, PNH is already filled out. We can throw it into the ideas sandbox, or yeah just put it in a different section.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallSorry for not replying sooner, but I'd prefer to preserve the draft and bounce proper ideas of off it for the January edition. I'll add context for PNH, but likely under an entirely new draft.
Your goateed philistine is sashaying towards us. | 🧱There's a couple of names on the ideas box. Vince Offer isn't a bad choice if anyone wants to tackle him.
- Hi, it's Vince Offer with Trope Report. So, gifting season is upon us, so why not pick up something that I have shown on TV? For the chef in your life, pick up the Slap Chop or Crank Chop! For those that deal with fluids, try the ShamWow! For those with pets that shed a lot, go for the Schticky! Got a music lover that's a fan of Eminem? I advertised Recovery, one of his albums! Whichever you pick, they will love my products!
Image of the Month:
Leading candidates
- No Antagonist: This month, as you can see in the honorable mentions, had a lot of big changes, and this one was my favorite. The old pic wasn't bad, but this really shows the breadth of this trope.
- Engineered Heroics: And this one's heartbreaking; quite the important message to deliver and it pulls it off.
Honorable mentions:
- The Ditz and Affably Evil: Two more big changes this month! Shame I don't have anything to say about them.
- Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: I voted for this one on the thread because her bending over to kiss him is very cute <3
- Thematic Series: An interesting approach to the concept, plus I'm a big Cartoon Saloon fan.
- Secondary Sexual Characteristics: A shockingly good illustration of the concept, I really like it.
Also, the thread for Kaiju has a lot of good images, but we're not even at crowner point yet. Might roll over to next month actually.
In my personal opinion, I'm preferring No Antagonist when it comes to the Image of the Month candidates. The other one is mainly just "animal abuse=bad" and isn't really more compelling than any other webcomic page image.

Welcome To Ideals' World
I'm aware, but I still don't really see what makes it especially special in its qualities as an image on Tv Tropes, and I'm kinda leery on something being chosen just because its message happens to be seen as appealing.
(smol additional note: also, even if the message is seen as important, there's a time and place for it, and suddenly getting greeted with a depiction of animal abuse would probably make at least some readers uncomfortable)

Welcome To Ideals' WorldFor what it's worth, I've gone ahead and added the Haiku-Wiki cleanup thread for the Project Spotlight section.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.![]()

That's fine, but I do wonder about this.
...wouldn't the same thing apply to the trope page then?
Honestly, my big concern is that I'm not sure I can deliver the message. Reminds me of when we cut UsefulNotes.Suicide Prevention because TV Tropes is not a qualified expert.
