So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

If you have an idea for how to write the description, that works. I recall January's issue had everyone stumped for most of the month, and I just decided to step in as a random idea, followed by remembering what 2023's zodiac sign is and running with it.

I got a rock for Halloween.
As Cardboard mentioned here
, we bounced two ideas around on our messages.
- Hostile Show Take Over from Trope Reporter
- Trope Reporter acts as an Elvira, Mistress of the Dark-type host
Either way, I was thinking of having him divide each section with dialogue, even if it makes the whole thing wordy.
I like the latter actually. The host thing would be fun.
Her Trope page says it all, really: Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
Until next time...

We have a whole month for this. Even if it's art for every section, I can most likely do it.
Some horror works that I might plug (I might save some for next year):
- Fuan no Tane (I haven't read it, but I might)
- LSD: Dream Emulator
- Mitoza
- Monster Party
- Ruby Quest
Also, I might plug Turn-On because the page is brand new, but it's not really horror themed (unless we count its infamy as horrific lol).
Permission to plug a page I made myself for next issue’s New Work Page Spotlight? It is a spooky work for the spookiest of months.

^ Sounds fine to me.
As previously mentioned, I wanted to entry for Ectoplasm in New Trope Spotlight but if 1 year is too old, I can find something else.
Macron's notesI slept since my previous post. I agree with others that the second idea in this post
sounds fine.
Since I initially started the draft for it way back when, I'll cover Last Resort Takeout. This will be for International Chef's Day on the 20th.
on the Elvira-style idea, BTW. We can save the Hostile Show Takeover for April Fools.
It could be Trope Reporter this time.

As for the New Tropes in the Ideas sandbox (since Ectoplasm is mentioned), the other tropes in the list are over a year old as well. I do believe that's too old for that section. So, unless if someone objects, we can clear that section out.
Ah, ok. I personally don't think a year old is that old but others this it is that's fine. I'll think of something else.

Macron's notesAnywho, ~FernandoLemon
You previously said that you have an idea about how this could be done which apparently requires a bunch of art from me.
What's the idea exactly, and what kind of art do you need for the issue? Just wanna know early on so I can decide if I should do it or not.
Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again. We said we'd have Trope Reporter present each section. Besides the opening at the top (and maybe one at the end), I was envisioning him giving a small intro to each of the 7 main folders, basically replacing the old ones. So, they would have small portraits of him doing something relevant to the next segment.
EDIT: Wait wait wait, I have a much simpler idea. Instead of 9 different images, how about drawing Trope Reporter with Elvira's hair and dress, and just have the image on the TV screen (and maybe some other minor details) change for each one?

Okay, I should be able to do that if I put some time into it.
Btw, Trope Reporter's outfit is going to be a cultist robe for convenience and a costume.
Edit: responding to edit...
Don't really like that, the costume doesn't sit right with me, and if I can make the summer art within a few hours, I should be able to provide all the art needed if I do it daily, assuming all of them are of the same level with nothing simple.

That works. For the background, maybe a candle-lit dark room á là The Phantom of the Opera.

That makes sense when it's a double feature. I just couldn't resist bringing that joke to this thread while waiting for the issue to go live.
Edit: It seems like my pagetoppers are the opposite of those ones that sound weird out of context — they probably don't make sense out of context unless I add quoteblocks because they tend to be replies to posts on previous pages that only make sense if you read the posts they're replies to.
