So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

Found "The Peanut Vendor" for a new work page. It's a 1933 experimental animated music video featuring a stop-motion peanut salesman monkey that sings an English cover of the titular song and dances rumba.

Have we thought about the sponsor at all? I know I suggested something that wasn't specifically Christmas related this year, and Sky suggested some fictional kosher delis, but that's where the discussion ended.
We could also go more into the New Years stuff and find a fictional singer who we can pretend is performing at Time's Square.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI mean, musicians are technically also brands of their own, so it should be fine. Plus it allows us to expand our horizons slightly.
If we still want a company, there are plenty of fictional record labels we can use as the "actual" sponsor and then go onto mention one of their musical acts. Ones that come to mind immediately are Rocque Records, Majesty Records, and Spin City Records.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI am fine with using characters if it helps us explore other ideas. I am not too picky when it comes to sponsors in general.
Macron's notesOh, I guess if you want something more straight-forward we could do The Polar Express.
I'm not opposed to record labels or bands, either. It's just individual people I seem to have a problem with.
See, my only gripe with Polar Express is that last year we went a little too hard on the Christmas stuff, and I'm just trying to be a bit more inclusive which is why I'm trying to suggest sponsors who aren't Christmas related, at least for this year.

At risk of going too far off the beaten path, World Monkey Day
is in December. You could have it be sponsored by a Bloons Tower Defense tower like Monkey Wall Street (an upgrade of Banana Farm) or Monkeyopolis (an upgrade of Monkey Village). Admittedly I'm relying on a wiki for info because I haven't played the most current iteration of the game, but yeah.
Hahaha, that would be a real wild card but I can't pretend it's not tempting
Tremendous thanks to GastonRabbit for his work on the Changelog. ![]()

Okay, so, aside from Image of the Month, the description, and the sponsor (for which we really just need to pick the one we think is best and roll with it), we also need / could use:
- The work page for Pages Needing Help
- More added to New Tropes, Project Spotlight, and New Work Pages
Since I'm less busy now, I'll write something for Project Spotlight.
Working on Sandbox. The Amazing Race TV Tropes Edition.I'll probably write about the Derivative Works/ Namespace cleanup thread. It could get some attention.

Working on Sandbox. The Amazing Race TV Tropes Edition.Sadly, that one was in last month's report (both the description and Project Spotlight)
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI am (slowly) working through Sandbox.Pages Needing Wiki Magic. I guess I can write up something for 8-Bit Christmas which needs a better description, tropes and crosswicks.

It was written in the description, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't written under Project Spotlight.
