So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

There is New Year's Kiss, which did launch in 2020 but is also low on wicks... and New Year's Resolution is also surprisingly low.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallUpdated the Changelog. GastonRabbit and the other mods have done such a good job updating it that most of what can currently be covered has already been written. Kudos to all of you!

I think New Year's Kiss would be better saved for January's issue since the trope happens in that month. New Year's Resolution I could go either way on; on one hand, people make it before the new year, but on the other hand, if they try to work on it, it's after the clock strikes midnight on the new year. (I'm leaning toward putting both on January's issue, but I think New Year's Kiss should definitely go there if we feature it in the near future.)
Since Peking Duck Christmas had a featured image, I take back what I said about featuring Commercialized Christmas instead. We can save the latter for next year.

I got a rock for Halloween.Well, double posting because I went ahead and added Celebration Miscalculation, because I couldn't resist making light of the fact that a famous historical figure was born on Christmas.
Edit: And added Commercialized Christmas to the idea sandbox with a note saying it should probably be saved for next year to lessen the amount of Christmas tropes this year. Not sure if adding either of the New Year's tropes to the idea sandbox is necessary since the January issue will start being written in just a little over half a month from now if we save one or both of them for then.

I got a rock for Halloween.~FernandoLemon. Would like this be fine? I understand I really haven't done anything else. (For the record
)
- Amonimus made the logo for this and last year's issue.

I guess that makes sense, idk. I always consider New Years Eve the actual holiday and don't really consider it a "new year" until I go to sleep and wake up, but that's just my mentality and you're right that these tropes are both more related to January than December.
Yeah, I think the customized logos ought to be credited regardless of anything else the creator did for the issue it's used for.
Edit: Added that listing.

I got a rock for Halloween.My entry:
- Despite their status making them very easily available for any prospective tropers, many public domain works don't have pages. For a short and Christmas-y example, take Schneider Von Groots Christmas Dream, a temperance-era poem where a man's trip to another world gives him the lesson to not drink schnapps. As the poem is only several pages long, it would be perfect for any troper wanting to get their hands into making a work page.
I still sort of want something to tie into New Years Eve and found Cue O'Clock, which is in a very messy state and was launched in 2009, so it's old as heck. I can make it work with a joke about "New Year O'Clock" or something.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI didn't even know it was on Pages Needing Wicks, I was gonna lump it into Trope Spotlight lmao but "Pages Needing Help" is also a suitable spot for it.

If we need New Tropes, here's all the recent launches
. Maybe there's something in there.
I know Obscure tropes is doing fine, I just like to write for it because I can be creative. I don't know as much about writing for Pages Needing Help, but I'll try

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI like the idea of listing Cue O'Clock in the December issue and listing New Year's Kiss and New Year's Resolution in January's issue.

I got a rock for Halloween. An idea for a future Obscure Tropes entry: Anthropomorphic Vice. Much like Celebration Miscalculation, Anthropomorphic Vice was another TRS change (it was originally "John Barleycorn and Friends") that still has only 62 wicks since it was renamed a couple years ago. This feels like a thing that's more common than it's portrayed, so maybe plugging it would help?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallFor New Tropes, I can write one for either Fiery Sensuality or Leitmotif upon Death.
SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYRe: Cue O'Clock
How about under Pages Needing Help for the spotlighted trope? I just looked at the page, and it needs more than just wicks. Example sorting, a better description, and some context...

Yeah, that's also what Fernando suggested, and it's what I'll do. I'm just not as used to writing for that section so I'll look at some older newsletters first to get an idea.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallHere's my entry for Fiery Sensuality. Any comments before I post it?
- Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me? Perhaps you're feeling the Fiery Sensuality. Fire is often associated with passion, and this includes the sensual, erotic flavors alongside the Hot-Blooded ones. Thus, certain people associated with fire and heat can be quite flirty, alluring and dare we say it, hot. It's rather short on examples, being recently launched on October 11, so wouldn't it be nice to light up the fires in the people's hearts in time for the chilly winter?

Well, Peking Duck Christmas was featured as image of the month on March 2022's newsletter so I think that counts as promotion?
I tried to look for more themed tropes for obscure tropes spotlight that weren't about Christmas but I didn't find any. Hanukkah only has Hanukkah Episode which is relatively "new" trope (launched in 2020) that is standing with 48 wicks. Other than that, I don't think there are any other tropes for the other December holidays but that's fine. We don't have to do a theme.
I guess Celebration Miscalculation is fine if we want a non-Christmas themed trope.
