So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

Because I don't like to make small changes, when I beef up another section tomorrow I'll change omnipresent to omniscient. Probably gonna find a second New Work.
Just dropping in to say thanks to including one of my new work pages in October's issue (IK it's not released yet but I keep track of the sandbox lol).
I admit the page needs more work but I'd been busy with other things recently, so shining a light on it to help get other tropers to edit it and making it easier to thrive is appreciated.
CG for short![]()
Anytime! Perused some media categories looking for new entries, recognized your name from around the site, and felt the page was writeupable. I don't know much about anime, but I know it's popular, so I figured I'd throw that out there. Glad you like it!
Image of the Month, hooray! It's down to Most Wonderful Sound and Status Effects. Both are huge tropes that didn't have an image until now. Plus, I'm pulling a pic out of the Image Suggestion thread for once. The former also has the benefit of being a tough one to illustrate.
Also, Big Bad's new pic (which is currently being crownered) is getting a nod just because the trope is so popular, but I don't think it's strong enough to "win".

Technically Status Effects was merged from Standard Status Effects, which did have an image, but I could still go either way.
There's also the new Real Life Troping
policy.
x3 Might be nice if we could get at least one page in the namespace launched as a Show And Tell. Feedback on the project thread appreciated.
Should we edit old issues to fix red links? I feel like we should, since the content is staying the same.
Specifically:
- News 2021-06 and News 2022-05 both have wicks to Wiki.TV Tropes that need moving to Website.TV Tropes
- News 2022-08 has a wick to LightNovel.Haruhi Suzumiya that needs moving to Literature.Haruhi Suzumiya.
I fixed some things in the trope changelog section, particularly some inaccuracies regarding the merge of Vengeful Widow and Crusading Widower into Crusading Widow. I don't currently have any plans to become a full-fledged editor, though.
But as for the now-red links, I'll ask the other mods.

I got a rock for Halloween.OK, posting with the mod hat this time because I was told that the old newsletters count as archives, so the Wiki/ and LightNovel/ links (and Machinima/ links, if there are any) are probably staying.

I got a rock for Halloween.Has alnair contributed this month or should their name be taken off?
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailI'm thinking about adding the Disambiguating Works / Subpage Collision thread
to the Project Spotlight section.
Go for it. I may like to complain about how I never meant for that thread to do cleanup... but since it does now, no reason to exclude it

He said in the Absent People thread in Yack Fest that he's taking a break from the site, so possibly not.

Anytime, Fernando. When I have a theme, it's easy for me to find stuff. Also go ahead with the trope choice; I third the motion.
