Trope Report Revival

I want my boyfriend to make an account but I'm also terrified he'd, like, start posting ZCE and if that happens I'd cry.

But yeah, I think the wrestler thing could be super fun to plug and hope that your girlfriend helps us out some, lol.

To tie in with both Halloween and the release of Return to Monkey Island, we could've also done Stan's Previously Owned Coffins, but I feel not as many people would know what that is.

Man, Piter would've probably loved the idea.

So would I. I played a little bit of Monkey Island a while back—never got to that reference but I do love the game.

Added Perfect Disguise, Terrible Acting and Uruguayan horror film The Silent House, both tying to the Hallo-theme. Man, thematic newsletter-ing is fun.

Actually, I've never been into Monkey Island, or any LucasArts games for that matter. Usually other adventure game developers. But if you want to do that, go ahead, it sounds like a fine pick. (Hey, I've been mentioned while lurking...)

And hey, maybe I will write a little something this month (considering college hasn't started yet and my new PC has arrived).

Added the Art Critique thread. Was stunned by how slow that forum is and maybe this can give it new life.

~piterpicher Probably should've asked first, but I tried to make your entry a bit more concise while still hitting all the points you'd included. Added another old work, while I was at it.

It's OK. I have a larger monitor (actually two), so it may be a little harder to tell whether I'm going overboard (my old standard for max length was five paragraphs on the edit screen with wide load enabled, but that was on a 1080p rather than a 1440p).

It had appeared as 10 lines of text on my monitor, but I got it trimmed down to 8!

Question: can I plug three threads in one Projects Spotlight entry? Because the closed TRS threads for Difficulty Spike, Ultimate Evil, and Positive Discrimination just got brought back and I was thinking of doing a three-in-one plug for the three to help get some eyes on dewicking. Is that a good idea, or should I pick just one? (If the latter, I'll pick the one with the most wicks left.)

I guess? I think it'd make sense.

• You're not inside a maze... but why shouldn't this prevent you from falling in love with Goodbye Strangers, a website and project developed primarily by Felix Kramer. The core of the website revolves around Strangers, odd, vaguely reptile-like beings that can only be seen by a small percentage of the population. This context is used to spiral into a surreal and recursive set of interlocking stories and modules. Despite having been available for certain periods since 2012, the work remains obscure.

Question: Which section of the Works-related area should I put this in? The work isn't too old, but its page isn't too new (the short edit history is due to a page move).

How old is the site? It might not qualify for any of them.

Could rewrite it to focus on the page's problems (scrolling through I see a lot of indentation issues and subjective tropes in the example list), and then stick it under "pages needing help"?

If Plaky does that, I can push off the stub manga page I found earlier today until next month. I'm no manga expert, but I think I can do a write-up when the time comes.

Re: Mentioning the TRS threads I brought back from the Morgue:

At least one other thread that was brought back from the Morgue (I think the one for Those Two Bad Guys, but I'm not positive) was mentioned in the past, so there's precedent for mentioning resurrected threads.

Here's my updated entry for Strangers:
