So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

Dare you to plug the furry thread. I mean, being truthful, there do seem to be a bunch of furries on this site. Idk if this is the representation they'd want, though, haha.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker Mail
And it fits in with the costume theme of Halloween too!
As for the two, I'm definitely plugging Usnavi's Bodega. It's easier, the work is better-known and, most importantly, represents the holiday better because the work takes place in the United States (unlike Vivo, which I believe takes place in Cuba).
EDIT: Okay, no; Vivo starts in Cuba, but then the story moves to Miami. Still, picking In the Heights.

Yay, write-up!
Okay, no, I'm joking with that one. Here's the actual write-up.
Okay, now for the important notes, because I love explaining all the in-jokes.
- That's the store's name according to Wikipedia, which I didn't know. It's not only a snappier name than "Usnavi's Bodega", but it makes more sense since the place is co-run with his cousin Sonny.
- Yes, that's the correct capitalization, since "de la" is Spanish for "from the".
- I picked those three items because they are important to the plot:
- The coffee is why so many people come to the bodega in the first place, as mentioned in the opening number.
- The lottery tickets are purchased by the characters for a chance to win the money that they desperately want, and bring us the show's Signature Song "96,000".
- The champagne is tied to Vanessa and Usnavi's relationship, and the focus of The Eleven O'Clock Number "Champagne".
- "Barrio" is Spanish for "neighborhood".

I like it
But god now we absolutely have to have the CDI shopkeeper as a sponsor some day, the meme is comedy gold.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallSo, I found Casese Quien Pueda earlier thanks to the presence of an Outnumbered Sibling wick. It's certainly a page needing, well... a lot... but I'm unsure if it should go in non-English works or the regular new work page spotlight.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI don't see why it can't go under New Work Page Spotlight! My entry for Works Needing a Page is only partially in English, so hey. Spread the languages beyond the confines of a single category!
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailLooks like the only blank sections left are Image of the Month, Trope Needing Help, and Creator Page Spotlight!
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailSo in researching Casese Quien Pueda I found that it's apparently been localized as Get Married If You Can, so I'mma have to move the page. Yayyy.
Has happened to me. The Yellow Bag was never released in English (as far as I could find), but I quickly learned that the author's website was, so the book has an official English title.
I adjusted the changelog entry for Ambiguous Disorder to highlight the discrepancy between classification and usage.
Probably just pick a creator you like and check their wicks to see if they're cited on a newsletter. Statistically unlikely that they will have been, I figure.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker Mail...well, now i run into the problem that both creator pages i considered (Yoko Taro and Terry Pratchett) need cleaning for real life troping so i have to do that first...
I've been meaning to get to that. I may plug a different Trope or Wiki Talk thread instead.
Any suggestions? If I don't get any I'll just look for one myself.
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper Wall
Thanks Amonimus. I'll write up an entry shortly.
I like it.
I might plug the new VTuber cleanup thread
, though it is brand spankin' new and it might be best to wait for next month.
Hmmm... maybe the Paleontology thread
...
