Naputaaku in color looks like a piece of lime taffy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We also got the volume 1 cover, though not a high quality shot of it.
Magu went to ride in the washing machine, thatβs adorable.

E.T technically is a Isekai movieI can see why natto can kill, itβs revolting.
Uneras has found a new toy...
@Chapter 18: Neat. A Halloween Episode about people who don't know anything about Halloween.
It's funny how (as Uneras spells out) Japanese media tends to acknowledge Halloween, even when it's not celebrated very much in Japan.
Anyone have any particular voice they read the characters with? Someone said they read Magu's lines with Plankton's voice, and I've stuck with that. I also read Naputaaku as X the Eliminator, becuse that's a good "cartoonishly high and evil voice".
Volume 1 came out in Japan today (that is to say November 4th in Japan). It seems to be doing pretty good, judging by Amazon sales: #719 print graphic novels, #76 in digital shonen manga; a bit lower than Roboco, significantly higher than Hard-Boiled Copy & Dolphin or Mission: Yozakura Family.
If you'd like to buy a digital copy of the Japanese volume to support the series (it's ~4.4 USD, about half what manga volumes cost in the US), I'd recommend using Bookwalker. You'll be able to set up an account and payment method on the English website, then use them on the Japanese website to buy the series (search "破壊")—the interface is pretty obvious even without a machine translation of the page.
It actually have pretty good sale ranking due to the top 30 or 40 is dominated by the Kimetsu and JJK wall.
Anyway, new chapter. Cute sidekicks chapter
E.T technically is a Isekai movieShark is the cutest, let's face it
I wonder if Napu's control really does last indefinitely, or it's just because he's only used it on animals who lack the mental ability (or motivation) to break it.
The story's never let him use it on humans so far, which is making me really curious what would happen if he did.
I too wish to have a pet shark that can deliver saury to me.
Glad he can find time to play video games.
@Chapter 20: This chapter is the ultimate proof of the strength of Magu's design, as him just turning fat and doing stupid thing in that form is comedy gold.
Behold my swollen bulk!
Interesting choice with Magu's voice. It is deep, but instead of loud and boisterous, he's cold and severe. I wonder how much of that came from consulting the author.
Ruru sounds about how I'd figured; very energetic and expressive.
I always did read him as fairly stoic, albeit with a somewhat raspier voice for whatever reason. Naputaaku was the one I gave a deeper voice.
Oh God! Natural light!Magu definitely should have voice fit for big bad, it makes all of his dialog funnier
@Chapter 21: Nothing I love more than a couple characters just discussing their lives.
I wonder what (if anything) "Napu Taxi" was supposed to be a translation of.
Taxi written in katakana is "Takushi", so Napu Taxi is Naputakushi, a portmanteau of his name.
For a sea-angel elder god Uneras has fantastic taste in apparel.
@Chapter 22: Waiting in the rain together is very romantic, provided you're under cover, and it's not super-cold.
An important lesson about gambling brought to us by Napu.
Two wholesome chapters in a row? I can't complain about that!
