Damn. I assumed it would've at least started by now. Also, I can't believe Flowers ends with Hana realizing the true power is love after watching a man slaughter dozens with no remorse.
Ah, I see what you mean. Didn't expect the first arc of The Super Star to just be a remake and expansion of the Death 0 one-shot.
OH, COOL, REPTILIANS. As if the anti-semitism with Team Yvs wasn't bad enough.

They've encountered Ultimo, but not the main villains.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.![]()
Ludsev and Salerm are EXTREMELY Jewish. Their Spirit partner is the goddamn Golem
, and they talk about how the original Golem was created to defend their people in ancient times from prejudice. Salerm controls the Golem by speaking freakin' Hebrew
to it!
I really liked them in the original manga because they had a really cool story arc, and in true Shaman King fashion, all of the references to Real Life myths, legends, and folklore were portrayed pretty respectfully and admirably.
In Flowers, they suddenly and jarringly do a Face–Heel Turn and reveal that they were raised from birth to fight on Yvs' behalf, the magic capitalism pyramid made by the Illuminati is made using the same principles as the Golem, and oh yeah, they're on the same team as FUCKING REPTILIAN HUMANOIDS
, which is a common dog-whistle for anti-Semitic conspiracy theories!

Man this is way too many anti-Semitic stereotypes to be a coincidence.
Like if Takei does enough research to know the Jewish origins of the Golem plus having a character speak actual Hebrew, then he should be at least aware of some of the stereotypes associated with the people.
It’s such a weird thing.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."This becomes even worse when you remember YVS is not a real Shaman. He used money and greed to bypass the power system and gain immense power. And this is a series thats always had the theme that anyone whose a Shaman is inherently worthy of redemption.
Its why Hao got redeemed despite being literally among the worst person who ever existed, because he's a Shaman.
So what does that say about the Jewish-coded YVS and the people aligning alongside or raised to serve him?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie." Yohsuke cheated his way to power. Yvs just gave Yohsuke the means to cheat his way to power, and I don't think it's ever implied that Yvs himself wasn't a legit Shaman. As for Yvs being Jewish-coded, I don't know about that. Prior to the reveal of Ludsev and Salerm being on his side, I didn't get any vibes like that from him, and this is what he looks like
. And Yohsuke is Japanese. There is the obvious similarity between the name "Yvs" and God in Judaism having the name "YHWH", but still, wouldn't YHWH be WAY older than Yvs, since he predates Jesus and Yvs was only the Shaman King 500 years ago?

Really? They don't even address it? Like, ever? That seems like a really big Face–Heel Turn to just spring on the audience and never explain, especially because there are REALLY BAD IMPLICATIONS that come with it.
