Oh yeah, also that (which is part of the "other projects the series is working on" I mentioned). Sorry, I knew I was making a long story a bit too short
No, Dai's animation is not bad, it's just that I can easily notice the moments where they're saving budject and using as little frames as possible, but the fights are well done, especially the most trivial moments
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upSorry I was going by what other people have said. If its good then great. It shows Toei is putting all the effort for their shonen offerings.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Bridge is animating it right? They're only working on Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens right now, so I think they can handle it, and the trailer art looks REALLY good, so I have no worries in terms of animation.
As for episode length, maybe 100-150 episodes. I gotta watch the original series, I kinda enjoyed the anime deviations. I actually enjoyed the Lilly Five lol.
Hell Joco was my favorite from the OG anime.

Correct, Bridge is animating the series this time around.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I agree with Devil Sketch 36's point.
I hope the dub keeps the 4kids opening. Also that Manta gets to be a Shaman.....And this time STAYS one.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Me too, although the change with Manta, I'm surprised that was really controversial after finding the internet.
After reading the manga, I was honestly shocked that Hao won but I kinda get why. Still, what did people start finding hypocritical about the manga later on though?
The "You can't be a truly bad guy if you can see spirits" bits.
Secret SignatureOhh, that makes sense since most of Hao's group did some shitty things. Honestly, I would've went with "only humans willing to embrace their spiritual connection can see ghosts."
And for the shamans that were villainy aligned, "people who see spirits don't started out bad, but like don't get consumed by your hatred or you'll lose the meaning of being a shaman."
Sometimes it feels like the perfect end to Shaman King would be to take the elements of the anime and manga endings that worked, remove the parts that didn't, and just figure out a proper message that doesn't justify some of the cruel behavior Hao's group caused.
I do wonder how a potential English dub will handle Yoh and Anna's relationship in regards to the whole arranged marriage? Like the 4-kids dub sort of downplayed that aspect.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Its on Netflix. They can literally get away with anything. Unless you meant to say the underage sex. Because that happens I think. Ewwwwwwwwww...
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I mean, it's offscreen at least and they're in the same age group?
Secret SignatureThere is a terrible Cuties joke to be made, but I'm just going to say "If that is a thing, please let them gloss over or otherwise ignore it."

The manga never actually focused on it. We didnt know it happened until Yoh's kid, Hana, showed up in the epilogue. Also, Hana is kinda the main character of the sequel so I'd like it if he could exist please.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI know. The manga did it tastefully. Its still not pleasent to think about. But thank god he did it the way he did.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. Its not like the original anime didn't have any moment that implied such due to the changed endings.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I dont see why its worth focusing on.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThey softened Silva's features compared to the previous version, which has his face be significantly more angular. I dig it though. Can't wait to see him back in action.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Parallels the art evolution the series went through.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It kinda bothers me that they re-used the same art for Silva's first close-up as in his full-body art. Like, they literally just zoomed into his face. The entire point of providing multiple facial expressions and angles is to give the animators multiple reference points for how that character should be drawn. Just zooming in like that isn't just lazy, it makes it harder for the animators.
At least Kalim's first art is re-drawn so you know that his face is supposed to have more wrinkles and harder lines up close, even if it's from the same angle.
Oh, by the way, we're talking about page images in this thread.

I'm reading Shaman King Flowers at chapter 22, and as a Jewish man, I'm REALLY, REALLY FUCKING UNCOMFORTABLE with Ludsev and Salerm being on Team Yvs... the main villain... based on the Illuminati... with a pyramid design... that is the embodiment of capitalism. If there's not some huge twist that explains this in a satisfactory way, I might just drop this entire franchise right the hell now because that is EXTREMELY anti-Semitic.

Flowers didnt last long enough to explain that. Though my personal guess would be somewhere between "YVS didnt give them a choice" and "fuck Hao". Mostly the first one.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire
Dai does have good animation, though? In fact, some of the best in Toei's current Television catalogue?
