And her Belligerant Sexual Tension got really old after several manga using it.
Watch SymphogearTakehashi is the character designer and story supervisor I think.
Basically it sounds like she has a similar deal to Kishi with Boruto, where she isn't actually writing it but all the decisions need to go through her.
Is anyone reading Takahashi's latest manga Mao?
Its similar to Inuyasha in that it involves time travel except to the Taisho Era instead.
I'm enjoying it so far.
There is some Belligerant Sexual Tension between the main leads but it hasn't been too annoying so far.
As much nostalgia as I have for Inuyasha getting me into the medium, I can't help but think that enjoying Yashahime will get me onto someone's "idiot list."

First episode aired today! Most of it is an adaptation of the Since Then bonus chapter.
Try not to give a shit about people like those, then.

Ending
I still feel weird if Rin is the mother of Sesshomaru's kid. Like he in the original manga doesn't strike me as someone who would want a romantic relationship with anyone else beside maybe Kagura.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieFirst episode doesn't give us much in the way of revelations, mostly just a "One last adventure" for the previous crew.
Towa looks like a very interesting protagonist though. Fairly certain she's the only person in the entire franchise to actually be concerned about the implications of time travel.
Bleye knows Sabers.^^ To be fair, it'd be even weirder if he'd shown any romantic interest in her in the original series, considering she was a kid.
I just hope if they are going the Sesshomaru/Rin route, they actually show how the relationship developed. It'd really be disappointing if they just skipped over the whole thing or killed her off, just to use her as an excuse for him to have kids.
Looks like Setsuna's not the only one with memory problems! There only way Kohaku and Hisui wouldn't recognize Kagome and Inuyasha's daughter is if their memories of the couple were tampered with somehow. I wouldn't even be surprised if it turned out that Towa's memories have been messed with too, and that's why she remembers Setsuna being in the forest with her but not her parents.
There's definitely something screwy with the characters' history, likely to cover up some surprise lineage.
Weird seeing that little brat Sota turn into a dad. Kaede and grandpa Higurashi are still kicking, too, which I was not expecting.
... Kinda confused about Towa's views on gender roles. It is cool and unique to me that all three girls are differing flavors of tomboy.
Why do none of them have dog ears though.
Final moment of episode 2 is hilarious.

Bleye knows Sabers.Grandpa Higurashi is surprising, but modern medical technology might make it possible, even if it's a little hard to buy.
Kaede is more surprising. I don't know how long people lived back in Japan's feudal era, but you'd think she would be dead already considering the time she's living in.
I can get people being shocked, since both of them were already old when the original series took place.
One Strip! One Strip!Kaede was probably about 58-60 so her still being around is feasible even if people in the 1500s usually died younger.
Pondering if the main cast and Sesshomaru + his Baby Mama got turned into the rainbow pearls.
Life expectancy was low in feudal times because of infant deaths, if someone actually grew to adulthood they could easily make it to 70.
Plus, y'now, she's (still) living alongside magic and demons so I can believe her making it past a hundred easy if she needs to.
Bleye knows Sabers.I wonder if we'll get any references to other Rumiko Takahashi works in the present day portions of the story. The Rumic World shorts hints all of her stories are in the same world, at the very least.
Watch SymphogearPeople forget Kaede was a priestess, even if she was nowhere near as strong as Kikyo. She still had spiritual power beyond that of a normal human.
I don't think it's ever explicitly said spiritual power = greater health or long life but it's a fair enough connection in my mind.
And Kagome's grandfather was a priest too, wasn't he?
I did consider that Kaede's status as a priestess might play a role in her still being around.
As for Kagome's grandfather, while he is a priest, he's got no spiritual mojo. When Kagome first returned to her time, he placed some seals on the bone eater well to keep it closed, and Inuyasha just strolled through no problem, while commenting that it had zero effect on him.
so like it said, him still being alive could be just due to people living longer in his time....but is probably just because they still wanted him in the story.
Kagome's mom looks exactly the same too, even though her son now has a daughter of his own. They probably knew what they were doing.
One Strip! One Strip!Imagine the emotional rollercoaster Kagome's mom must be on.
Your daughter travels to another world, saying it's gonna be permanent this time so she can hook up with a dog-man. You say your tearful goodbyes knowing she's headed to an incredibly dangerous era and then a little brat pops out of a portal a decade and a half later looking exactly like her and wearing the dog-man's clothes and she has no idea where her parents are.
And this revelation is after you where just held hostage so some people could get at your other granddaughter. And there's also a giant centipede trying to kill them both.

Bleye knows Sabers.Lack of a dub is throwing me off...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah I'm also spoiled by Funi with their Fairy Tail and MHA simuldubs.
I was asking about a dub elsewhere and was told we shouldn't expect a Viz dub for months. And by Viz dub I don't know what I mean. I really wonder if they will even hire Ocean on again. I haven't heard an Ocean dub in a decade. Poor Canada. Richard Ian Cox hasn't done anything for years it seems according to wiki. Morrow Miroku is still around.
Moneca Stori the original dub VA of Kagome vanished even before Final Act so she has zero chance of coming back even if they get Ocean.

Actually, apparently the hooligans that Towa manhandled where all based on characters from Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2.
Bleye knows Sabers. So, where can one watch this? (Legally)
she seems to be inlvoved in terms of chara designs, but yeah, AFAIK its anime original. I'm really hoping her input in terms of storytelling is minimal, I'm really tired of her long-ass padding.
