Either 13.1 or 20.1 works.

I'm leaning toward 20.1.

Yeah, 20.1 has the drastic contrast I like about 6.1 and is more pleasant to look at.

For the record, 13.2 struck me as more of a transitional expression, as if the animators were going for a squash and stretch approach that doesn't really work with anime's lower framerates compared to Western animation.

In a few minutes, I'll upload what was my original vision, just so y'all can comment on it.

EDIT: Here was what I was thinking. Probably less concise than the other versions.

Because I am an idiot and never should have made this thread, I’m fine with keeping the original and adding a caption. But I also like the BitF and Love Live suggestions.

I like Brain's version, but it seems a little too long. I like 20.1

13.1. The second panel doesn't add much to the trope.

Going ahead and calling this one since it's 5 days in and 20.1 is clearly the winner. It's swapped in with some downsizing; caption? Also, the old pic and some of the other suggestions are on the Image Links page, but there's one that I don't know what to link to.

GIS says it's from My Monster Secret, although apparently that's from an early chapter where the art style is vastly different.

Caption suggestion:
