Agreed, and it not being a double-panel image is a plus IMO. Keep Until Better Image Suggested
Keep Until Better Image Suggested. He's got the Hoover Flag going, which illustrates it enough.
Is it obvious that it's the same character? (Archie Comics (2015))

That doesn't come off as Riches to Rags to me. It looks more like people making fun of him for being snooty.
11 kind of works, but the current has an advantage of not being multi-part.
Fjón þvæ ég af mér fjanda minna rán og reiði ríkra manna.![]()
The good part in that picture is that it doesn't need to be multipart. His clothing indicates pretty well that he is supposed to be wealthy, but his empty pocket and expression shows that he is poor.

With the formatting there I thought you wrote it in a haiku, and was quite disappointed to find out otherwise.
Anyway, I think
11 and the current
They both have their strengths
One is multipart
But is a little more clear
I am on the fence

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing here. Uncle Pennybags is a rich character, and he has somewhat of a defeated pose, but it's pretty much completely unclear otherwise. Even though Uncle Pennybags is a well-known character, it doesn't show that he was once rich, and it doesn't show that he lost a lot of wealth either.
