Just learned that the Jo Jo's pic was actually an invalid image change. The former pic is below...not quite sure which I prefer.

I prefer the Wolverine pic, as it more clearly illustrates the trope. The Japanese screenshot looks like the characters are dancing, to me.

I could go either way, though I must ask: are we limited to specific poses or image compositions for this trope?

I like Wolverine as well; it's more obvious that a showdown's about to happen. Here is a larger version◊ for better downsizing; that old one's got artifacting.

I dunno, the muted colors don't bother me and I can clearly see what's going on so 7's take works fine.
