ITT: We're in a fantasy adventure

Fern watches this from atop their golem, fear etched in their face. Trembling, they throw a Solidification potion at the Asian foe

As Selago started going deeper into the forest, he heard another set of footsteps. By the time he turned around to look, it was already too late - a large man in heavy metal armour was holding him by the wrists. Selago couldn't escape his grip. "'Ey! Let go!"

Armoured men started approaching the other party members, attempting to do the same.

Thorstone swings at the nearest one with with the blunt side of the axe

"It will take more than that!"

The armoured man stumbles slightly, but remains eerily calm. His armour is dented by the axe. Two more appear on either side of him, armed with maces. The man with the sword steps back, while the two with maces approach Thorstone. "Remain calm," the man with the sword says. "We only wish to detain you, but we shall kill you if you take further action."

Selago sees another armoured man in front of him. Noticing that the groin area has lighter armour, he takes a risk - he kicks the guard holding him in the groin. Selago is released by the guard, and draws his sword. "Found a weak spot! Go between the legs!"

Fern throws confusion potions at the men, while Golem kicks two of them

The two men who the golems attacked crumpled to the floor. Their confusion did very little to help them.

Fern celebrates as Golem grabbed some men and tossed them away

Hackett calls out to the party, I say we cut our losses and get out of this forest. You never know how many palookas are in a posse!

"Oh? That wasn't enough for you?"

The boy looks mildly surprised that the abomination managed to survive his hits, but sensing Kotone's agitation, prepares to deal the finishing blow.

"Why don't you take this...as a parting gift!"

He drives his (now ki-infused) quarterstaff directly into the heart, finally destroying it in a gruesome-looking explosion. Unsurprisingly, the dimension around him starts withering moments after.

"Alriiight-!"

A gaping shadow portal opens back into the real world, not-so-gracefully hurling the cheering young man out of its opening...directly in the middle of the adventurers' battlefield.

He happens to accidentally knock one of the guards Fern's golem straight up rofltossed out of the air, eliciting an airy "whoops" as he lands back onto the ground.

Thorstone uses his shield to try and tackle the two soldiers at once

Hackett, seeing all the violence and such gets a little antsy, and sort of forgets himself. He sees an encroaching swordsman in armor, and, in adrenaline, jumps from his hair-nest to face the assailant.

Mid-jump, Hackett remembers his size, and quickly flails forward for safety. Hitting the armor with the slightest p-tink, he grasps his hands onto the steel of the armor, as gravity pulls him down. Hackett makes the faintest sound of skin rubbing on metal as he falls down the man's chest plate, before eventually being able to catch himself on the swordsman's empty hilt.

Speaking of the swordsman's empty hilt, the swordsman, sword drawn, approaches the heroes, and takes a few broad swings, as if to say, 'keep distance'.

Lisandra, naturally, takes this as a challenge, and rushes forward toward the swordsman with her own sword.

"Have at thee!" she exclaims.

Kotone's shadow regenerates as Kotone appears surprised, "What?! No one survives my shadow's dimension!" she retorts as a few measly hitpoints seem to have been shaved off her own health.

The swordsman's piece lands against Lisandra's, sending him flailing slightly back. "Vile woman!"

The swordsman sends a blow flying towards Lisandra's left side.
