Goodness gracious...

Hackett jumped up and down atop the branch, signaling Kotori, who claims to see him. Hello! I’m right here! I can sneak!

The small creature’s noise was still barely audible from where he was, but he was definitely just about visible to the people looking in his direction.

"Oh, someone said something..."

(She apparently sees the creature)

"It looks cute, doesn't it?"

"I don't know, he might be dangerous..."

Selago manages to hear the voice, and approaches Hackett. "Oh, there you are! Sorry about all that. What's your name?"

He finally catches notice, and celebrates. Hello up there! I’m Hackett Kelly, a borrower, you see! I can sneak just about anywhere, so if you need a sneaking, I’m your man!

He didn’t love being called “cute” by these clearly younger girls, but after all this struggle, Hackett didn’t plan to make a fuss.

"Oh, wow. Hey there, little guy!" Lisandra looks real close to the little creature, observing him quite curiously. "I've heard of these guys, but I've never seen one in real life. You really are quite small, aren't you?"

"If you need a way to get around easier, I'll let you hide in my hair, Hackett." Allora would hold out a hand for Hackett to hop onto if he so choosed.

The amount of large beings looking at them with their massive eyes is a little intimidating, but he holds firm. However, as Lisandra nears him, her massive face looming, he tenses up and flinches back. However, he must hold firm. He gulps, and nears the massive elven face.

Yeah, I guess we are, huh miss.

The elf will see a well-quaffed head of ginger hair, with a scruffy yet maintained facial hair coating his chin. He wears a long leathery brown trench coat, and behind him is a similarly small, yet apparent mouse-like tail. He seems anxious.

Oh, uh, thank you miss. He replied such to Allora, though in honesty, the thought of sitting in hair sounded a little gross. Either way, he hopped in her hand out of courtesy.

Allora would move her hand towards her hair. "Don't worry. I keep it as clean as I can. Should be comfortable, with the concoctions I've made..."

"Hi!"

Sycamo stayed near the back of the group, adjusting his cloak slightly. He did notice Hackett, but decided not to say anything about him.

The Forest

A man of about 6'2 height patrols the nearby area. Adorned in military regalia, which seems quite out of place for what seems to be a town made directly out of fantasy, he's felt quite lost. He's not even sure exactly how he got here, or when. All he remembers is an ambush...he mutters to himself.

Uh, who are you all? Where am I?

Rosalia would look over at the man in military garb. "Of course. As soon as we're about to get started with a plan, another one joins the party. I wouldn't be surprised if we manage to make a kingdom by ourselves."

Hackett looks into the bed of hair and has to admit it looks clean enough. He hops in.

A child, no older than 10, stumbles out of some bushes. Their white robe with golden trimming is clearly oversized and looks dirty, as if it was rolled on the floor too many times. The child has long silver hair, put into a braid, revealing pointy, elven ears. Their golden eyes look around, inspecting everyone present.

" Who are you people?"

"Jesus, how many people did you invite?" Lisandra, the half-elf, questions to the warlock. "We'll never get out of the woods at this rate."

"Just a bunch of strangers who just met and are about to go on a quest together, it seems. What's your name?"

The child raised a brow and narrows their eyes " Isn't it stupid to go on a 'quest' with someone you just met, if it was not arranged?" They sigh and shake their head " People are willing to do questionable things these days.. My name is Fern, alchemist."

"If you're not okay with doing questionable things, you maybe shouldn't be coming on this quest," Lisandra suggests.

" It depends on how important the questionable thing is"

Forest

What is....okay, I'll play along. My Callsign is "Jester." What exactly are we talking about when we say "take over a castle?"

Hackett poked out from roughly behind Allora’s ear, and called out to the child. Well, you don’t have to go if you’re worried about it.

Forest

The man simply readjusts his fingerless gloves and cracks his knuckles as he realizes the true scope of this situation.

Okay, then, not sure how I got in the middle of Dungeons and Dragons, but count me in. I don't have a sense of humor...they gave me this name my first day on the force.
