An Alpha Strike is when a unit (or preferably a group of units) all hit a target with all their weapons at once. The image is... an aircraft firing a whopping two missiles. That's not nearly enough for this trope.

A better example, or this one.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

Is there a version of the first option without a watermark?

1.1 is too chaotic. 1.2 is better.

Definitely pull the current, but I'm not really feeling either of the suggestions. 1.1 is too cluttered, and the text in 1.2 is too small.

On second thought, I don't really like 1.2 either. Using only the first panel conveys the trope only via text, panel 2 is not this trope, and using the first two panels would be more than half the comic, and even then not that great.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.

Here's a reject from a previous thread for (unsuccessfully) finding an image for Awesome.Mobile Suit Gundam SEED:

(Don't have a caption idea, this reject's caption from the thread wouldn't work here.)

That looks more Macross Missile Massacre to me.

[up] Well there's Beam Spam involved too, but I can see your point.

[up]That's possibly more to the point. This trope should have multiple weapons attacking the same target.

[up] Ah yea, and since we don't see the target in the picture... I'll try to find something else.

Poster for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. The mecha depicted don't have as much individual spam as the Gundam SEED suggestion, but at least you can tell that they're all firing on a single target.

We could just reuse the old caption. I don't think there's a line from the scene the poster depicts that would fit for describing the trope.
