Paying no heed to the.. Okay, not no heed- a giant goose dragon making some kind of ungodly honk is kind of hard to ignore- Adia takes aim once again.

"You say that, but I still don't want to be the one responsible for putting an arrow in you-" Regardless, she takes a far more (she hoped) accurate shot at the bandit. ... And then she dodges backwards because there's a chance he'll still try to attack her after all that.

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK"

The mercenary group had done their toll. Most of the bandits were down. But the strange mage at their rear was unscathed.

He sneered, raised his hands, and pericing bolts of dark magic assailed each and every one of the Silver Falcons. They pierced Sigmund's hide, but he did not yield, continuing to honk in fury as he rampaged.

Bandit Encounter

Having expected a counterattack, Bryn was able to deflect the worst of the magic blasts directed at her with the silver of her axe. However, her arms grew numb from holding against the force, and a bolt skirted through her defense and glanced against her head.

Skull in pain and ringing from the attack, Bryn growled and dropped her axe to the ground. It smarted something fierce, but a single attack wouldn't bring her down. Her now free hands shot out, attempting to grasp the mage by the front of their robe; should she be successful, she'd then bring her aching skull crashing down against the mage's own forehead.

Just when "Diana" was about to attack the wyrmslayer bearer the hooded man in the back sent out a whole bunch of dark magical bolts and one ended up hitting Rose, She was able to hold up for a little bit but it was still forced to do a rough emergency landing which ended up knocking her out.

"Diana" was left mostly unharmed thanks to Rose taking all the damage head on to protect "her".

"Rose, are you alright?" Diana asked worried, the pegasus was unable to respond and "diana" didn't have time to check her injuries because they landed in the middle of the bandit group and now they were surrounded, she picked up her lance and got ready to protect "her" friend as much as she could.

Bandit Encounter.

Fel's luck didn't hold this time and got hit by one of the bolts of dark magic and leaving the 'thief' cringing from pain but forcing both a smirk on his face and to keep standing.

"Y'know...you should've broken out the magic to begin with because now you're almost outta of underlings and fightin' a losing battle."

No-Gae steered her pegasus around and approached the other pegasus rider. "Miss, is your pegasus hurt? I think I can help with it."

She puts her bow away and brandishes her healing staff.

"Diana" saw the other pegasus knight arrive with "her" and listened to her offering "Oh yes please do it, I would be forever grateful" She requested after seeing her staff.

No-Gae chanted a prayer in a foreign language under her breath. Then, her staff glowed with a pink radiance, and the wound on Diana's pegasus quickly healed up.

"May Heaven's light protect you, my lady. Now, we have a battle to resume."

The girl was alright! Trustworthy, and a killer to boot! Hadri took a breath as she surveyed what was left of the guy, and then another, sharper breath, a gasp even, as the caster started prepping something. She couldn't get to him fast enough to stop him, but she could at least mitigate a potential loss! Hadri threw down her hammer and ran after Adia, then dove into the air in a tackle.

"Get down!" She yelled, hoping the archer knew what she meant and understood Hadri could cover her.

Rose wake up suddenly fully recovered and ready to continue the battle, she got up and she neighed loudly while she gave air kicks her front legs but got back into the ground and stayed still right after so "Diana" would be able to ride her again "you better enjoyed that hit fiends because is the last one you will land on us" the young knight declared as "she" and rose rushed to confront the bandits that had surround them.

Nyx catches some of the magic on her blade but grimaces as one slices her cheek open, tearing her cloak.

"Oh, to hell with this! I'll rip you apart MYSELF!"

Nyx's sword collapses, the strange stone glowing as her wings extend from under the cloak and lift her skyward. She encases herself in energy, transforming herself into a giant black raven, flying at the bandit leader with razor sharp talons.

In a split second Adia understands what Hadri is trying to go for, and ducks so the other woman has an easier time blocking for her.

She's already willing to take attacks for me? That's a bit surprising-

Bandit Encounter

While the magic didn't injure Kokoro, it did hit her hard enough to throw her off balance, and with her needing to concentrate properly to coordinate all four legs at the best of times, that was too much for her, with her falling onto and then sliding on the floor with all the grace of a carriage that just had two wheels blown off.

The massive amount of attacks aimed at the mage is deflected enough to not totally eviscerate him, but it's enough to send him sprawling, heavily injured. From the ground he grits his teeth.

"You... You cannot stop..."

The swan-dragon hisses. "Stop what?"

"Diana" got close to the fallen wizard and aimed "her" lance towards him "You're outmatched, surrender now or die right here"

"...Sheesh, calm down, will you? Is some smug bandit on his last legs really worth the need to transform for a bit of extra overkill?" Fel couldn't help but shrug at Nyx and Sigmund.

Still, he didn't exactly like the bandit mage...leader's 'threat' as he glanced around the camp and back at the town of Adtriyn just in case there were any other bandits or unpleasant individuals nearby as he stepped over the bandits who'd fallen now that the battle was hopefully over or at least in a lull.

He eventually offered a hand to Kokoro to help her stand.

Nyx growls(???) - the bird equivalent, at least. " He pissed me off!"

She attempts to pin him down with her talons.

Fel couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. It was clear he didn't quite catch all of the...growl...bird...noises and decided not to push his luck with risking getting Nyx even more agitated. For now at least.

"...Right, guess I'll leave ya to clawin' out of his eyes or whatever you're gonna do, Nyx."

With that said, he still offered a hand to Kokoro while glancing at the rest of the Silver Swans...and Byrn in case he needed to a toss a Vulnerary their way.

Bandit Encounter

Kokoro for a moment squirmed on the ground as she untangled her legs, looking up rather grateful as Fel offered her a hand. With her now up again, Kokoro first wanted to charge again only to notice the mage by now being on the ground, causing her to rear up so she could transfrom her lower body back to her human form. After having done so, she shot Fel a slightly apologetic grin "Thanks for the help," she said with a chuckle, scratching the back of her head, "Guess I'll have to work on my landing, don't I?"

Bandit Encounter

Once the mage was on the ground and seemingly incapacitated, Bryn checked herself over for any injuries she might've missed. Her head still stung, promising a bruise there tomorrow, but otherwise she couldn't find any cuts or contusions.

She caught Fel throwing his eye her way once she was done, and responded with a grin and a thumbs-up. None of the others seem to have suffered significant injury either, so Bryn retrieved her axe from the ground and knelt down next to the mage, keeping out of range of the transformed raven's wingspan.

Between the raven's angry words, Bryn asked "So what's so important about this little town here that you'd risk and limb to plunder it, hm?"

The man continued to sputteer. "You cannot stop... the Void Wardens..."

"Void who?"

The man started raising his hand as it glowed.

"Wait... Get back!"

"No problem, Koko, all part of the job~!" Fel couldn't help but keep up his smile. "...And maybe just a little. It's gotta be tough keepin' balance with an extra set of legs."

Still, he was glad both she and Byrn were alright. And with at least...three new faces, there was going to be a lot of introductions after all this. Although with bandit readying a spell made the 'Thief' silently sigh at Nyx, Sigurd and those who'd gotten too close.

"...Already way ahead of ya. Might wanna do the same thing unless you think that overkill bit will stop him."

Fel was glad he was reasonably out of range. Or at least he hoped. Getting hit once was bad enough. A second time would be quite...unpleasant.

Alessa, seeing the mass of allies piling onto the mage, stopped her charge to give her allies room to attack, choosing instead to focus on defending herself from his blasts. With the mage knocked to the ground, she strode over, stopping as he prepared his chant. Wasn't going to talk aside from an ominous revelation, huh? Goddess-damned cultists. Always the same. Spout cryptic nonsense to whip people up into a flurry and get them to do absurd things She stepped back away from the cultist, raising an arm in front of her face.

Bandit Encounter

Kokoro smiled back slightly, dusting herself off "Appreciated." She looked at her now again humanoid lower body "Heh, true, trust me, even after all this time I'm not fully used to them - definetely beats having no legs at all though," she said, smiling slightly - before noticing the bandit charging up a spell. At that, she readied her bow, and while she couldn't exactly make out what he said, she wasn't exactly caring about it either, instead loosening a well aimed arrow, having aimed right at his hand, hoping to stop the channeling - without outright killing him.

BOOM

Purple light everywhere, shockwaves everywhere. Sigmund is sent hurtling back, but soakes up most of the blast.

The mage is gone. Sigmund slowly gets up, shifts back to normal.

"Who... who were they?"
