Crowner hooked.
Is it too early to call? We've seemed to reach consensus.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNope; it's been three days. Time to call.
Now let's set up an alt names crowner.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Reporthttps://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner.php/AlternativeTitles/BadDreams?open=all#446v9rea
I think I got all of them, besides my unanimously-disliked suggestion of Nightmare Inducing Trauma.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSwitched in the new crowner.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSo what's the difference of "Past Experience Nightmare" and Flashback Nightmare?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaFlashback Nightmare is when a nightmare is used as exposition while "Past Experience Nightmare" is when someone has nightmares because of a trumatic experience, but it's more to show how the experience impacted the character and not necessarily used for exposition.

Yeah, this trope is more of a supertrope that doesn’t utilize the flashback. If Bob goes to sleep and the audience is treated to a flashback of his parents’ deaths it’s Flashback Nightmare, but if we don’t see the dream itself but he says “I dreamt about my parents dying”, it’s this.
Should we turn Bad Dreams into a disambiguation page?
Sounds reasonable.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat would the disambig point to?
Because I feel like we're missing a lot of tropes here. For example, a random fanfic I was reading recently had a number of characters with nightmares, for various reasons. You've got the characters with obvious PTSD; would those count as Past Experience Nightmare even though we never see the nightmares, they're just mentioned? Another has a kid who has nightmares about his father leaving because of him even though that didn't actually happen, his dad left before he was even born; it's not an actual experience, but it is a trauma, so where would it go?
Is it too late to suggest making Bad Dreams a supertrope? Because it's a very broad category that covers a wide variety of narrative purposes, and I feel like turning it into a disambig with like two tropes just doesn't cover enough.
Not sure about the second, but your first example would qualify as Past Experience Nightmare. It's not about seeing the dream itself, but about why the dreams are happening and how the trauma is conveyed to the audience.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNudging for votes; winning option needs two more.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThe winning option now has 13 votes.
Okay, calling in favor of Past Experience Nightmare.
Should Trauma-Induced Nightmare be a redirect? It also had unanimous votes, but not as much as the winner.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI'd be fine with making the runner-up a redirect.
You can't always get what you want.To making Trauma-Induced Nightmare a redirect
back lol
Move done; I'll get the redirect set up in a moment.
1471 wicks to move or remove. Video example handled.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI finished cleaning up the main wicks, aside from two ghost wicks which I brought up in the locked pages thread. 1366 wicks to go.
I've occasionally changed wicks to the redirect instead, though usually it's because of wording.
At least thst means we're making use of that, too.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportHuh, it says Trauma-Induced Nightmare has 0 wicks, which means someone might've changed them away from the redirect...weird...
Anyway, I'll try and get some wicks done tomorrow.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDown to 1234 wicks after going through some of the smaller sections.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJust saying that the description still mentions "Bad Dreams".
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Alright, so I'll make it:
here it is, hollering for a hook.
