In this case, Mr. Freeze is the great King of Terror / The Luge (don't know how to add that star), but he's already got the cold theme, so lets just nickname him Mr. Freeze.

or the Freezeman, or Frieza :P

I think Frieza is the better name for a Great King of Terror from outer space.

Manabu made a reference about a space dinosaur that shoots fire and I have no idea what he's talking about. Anyone got the reference?

At least the wiki's got details on what he's named from.

His name, "The☆Mokeida Mbembe", comes from the Mokèlé-mbèmbé, an aquatic cryptid from Africa popularly hypothesized by cryptozoologists to be a surviving remnant of the extinct Apatosaurus. Mokei is also the Japanese word for a "model", referring to his hobby of building plastic models.

Which I think is pretty neat. Still, Sevens had a lot of obvious nods so I got no idea. I'll check the reddit later and see if they know something.

I was quite surprised that Mimi, or at least a version of her, actually won a duel!

I was not surprised that they ended up giving Nyandestar a sexy human form that's practically Ms. Fanservice by the Bridge era standards.

I hope she left her deck with the fusion card behind...not that it matters. They lost the element of surprise that might have come from using it.

I can't recall someone winning a duel by sandbagging one of their own monsters the way Yuamu did before. I guess it would run counter to the sentimentality/heart of the cards theming of the older shows.

Does Zwijo throwing a molotov cocktail on things and dueling Yuhi next episode mean that Providence isn't going to get a duel this arc since the cour's almost over?

Given his actions and philosophy I would not be surprised if he was the final villain for the show as as whole. Though (Spoilers for episode 39) given the rumors that Yuga is returning next week I also wouldn't be surprised if we got someone worse.

I mean, I know the title (which I've known since last week) said he was from the future, but does this mean they're gonna use Go Rush to explain the remaining plot points of Sevens?

Does this mean the series has been a Stealth Prequel this whole time instead of a sequel, and all the characters who resemble characters from Sevens are Ancestors and not descendants?

Or is this an Alternate Timeline?

considering in sevens rush duels were created by yuma, while here they are normal probably an alternate universe. unless it ends with goha taking over and banning all mention of rush duels.

We don’t know that for sure though. Maybe by the end of the series Rush Duels will be erased from existence until Yuga creates them in his time.

Yuga explicitly created Rush Duels here as well though. Yuna just took credit for it. She said as much herself. Though it is weird that Zwijo and Yudias knew about them before Yuga arrived if he wasn't the one who introduced it to them. Even Yuga says Rush Duels shouldn't exist at this point in time.

It was pretty funny how they kept trying to hide the fact that "that guy" was Yuga (keeping his back to the camera during the Zwijo flashback, only showing him from the neck down prior to this episode, putting Luke, Gakuto, and Romin in silhouette, etc.) then suddenly in the middle of the episode they just suddenly gave up and just threw in a random shot of him as he was in Sevens just completely unobfuscated.

Turns out that Yuuhi and Yuamu swapped decks before the series even began (but after he first lost his Earth Damar) and Yuuhi was actually the user of the dragon deck that Yuamu uses and vice versa.
