this isn't a "dumb" idea but I couldn't find the "your idea for a video game" thread
I've wanted to make this for a while; a visual novel game where you wake up with no memories in a bunker during a huge apocalypse with survivors from alternate universes. You try to recall how you got here and why while making friends and rivals along the way - no romance though, that's not necessary. Eventally you find just barely enough clues to make an educated guess as to what happened with this apocalypse thing, and in the end it's revealed that The apocalypse was a lie created by a group of shady scientists as a test to see how long it would take for you all to discover that the outside world is, in fact, completely normal and safe.
