So Jango Fett and Boba Fett are still in the zone of “maybe Mandalorian, maybe not but they’ll still tell people they are”.
Disney never contradicted him, so there's no reason to assume Boba reverted back to the way he was before.
Personally, I'm leaning toward assuming that Jango was a Mandalorian, and hope writers follow.
The reason being the Doylist history and purpose of Mandalorians. Mandolorians were, essentially, made to be Boba Fett's culture. So having Jango not be a Mandalorian would be odd.
Leviticus 19:34Yeah, it's even in their names: Jango was named after a Western antihero
, while Boba was named after delicious tea with tapioca.
Regardless of whether or not Jango Fett is Mandalorian, I think there is a point to be made about the fact that Boba's a clone.
A clone made from the same genetic stock as the Clone Troopers, no less.
So. Like. Regardless of Jango, if Boba Fett counts as a Mandalorian, then you kinda have to count all of the Clone Troopers as Mandalorians too. And that just doesn't feel right.

Speaking of, did anyone else have a "Ho-o-oly shit" moment when we found out that Mando was taken in by Death Watch? I'm used to Star Wars works existing largely in their own bubbles and not really referencing each other that much (I don't read the books), so that bit of continuity blew my mind.
And now the Darksaber's in play. I don't want Mando to return Baby Yoda to his home planet. I want Baby Yoda to become a proper Mandalorian warrior and be the next wielder of the Darksaber. That feels poetic.

We know next to nothing about Yoda's species or their home planet - George Lucas apparently always wanted that to remain a mystery. I could see the two run into other force-sensitives at some point, but I doubt they'll ever find "his people".

We learn from history that we do not learn from historyYes. Not only are the Mandalorians sporting the bright blue armor of Death Watch, but at one point we see a clan insignia
on one of their shoulders. That's Death Watch's
clan insignia. There is no question about which clan made Din Djarin a Foundling.
I'd been suspecting pretty much since the beginning that Mando's anti-droid bias was a Clone War-era resentment against Separatist droids. But I was not prepared for Death Watch.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yodas seem to age, not just slower, but at a different rate than humans. If Yoda's age of 900 is typical for their species, then 1 "Yoda Year" is about 10 "Human Years". This makes The Child 5 years old...while still being an infant or a toddler.
He might be an adult in another 50 years, for example. We don't know the exact percentage of their time is spend in childhood.
Leviticus 19:34Of note, there's actually a few connections between the show and Death Watch now.
In addition to the Death Watch troops that rescued Mando as a child and the presence of the Darksaber, we also have that big burly guy that aggro'd at Mando in the Armorer's foundry in an early episode. Who was that asshole?
Well, his name is Paz Vizsla. Of Clan Vizsla. The Clan of Pre Vizsla, leader of Death Watch during the Clone Wars.
So. Yeah.
I've been WTFing about Planet Mandalore apparently no longer being a thing, and now I also have Death Watch and the Darksaber to WTF about. The fact that Mandalorians are basically as extinct as Jedi all of a sudden does not bode well for Bo-Katan Kryze and her side of the Galactic Civil War....

There's also being responsible for the clone army by being it's genetic doner.
