Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

The Advisors start to think they sent in too little troops.
"Well, if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. Behold..."
A huge elevator rises up, revealing the massive beast known as the Behemoth. It's...literally Ugh-Zan IV's corpse,
standing up-right with a large cockpit in his chest and wires all over his body. The Combine's engineers and technicians were lazy that day.
"It may not look like much, but this is a mech that was being worked on. Much like the Praetorian, it isn't finished, but unlike that, it functions properly. I'll get into it and show everyone at that sub-base that we mean business..."
One of them flies up to the cockpit and opens it with telekinesis. It gets in it and closes the cockpit.
"Ready the portal! This charade ends today..."
The LoD's Sub-base
Galis is still charging her katana. The aura gets stronger and stronger, to the point of it feeling stronger and more visible. But Galis knows it isn't enough. Meteors continue falling from the sky. They manage to miss her.
"Don't act smug, me! You could jinx it!"
While she was dealing with her inner smugness, a massive portal from far away opens up. She sees something come out of it... It's the Behemoth. She warns her allies of its advance
"There's a giant fuck-off monster at 12'o clock coming towards us!"
"At first, I was like "hmmm, yeah, buff choccy bunny." But bro: I don't think it's a joke anymore..."
Rulinia's Campship
Aster just... Awkwardly stood there for a moment before translating what she said as best as he could to Rose and Vio. Violet, in turn, spoke up to Aster, who just awkwardly looked at Rulinia and said, "My sister's— i don't remember the beat word for this but I'm just going to say 'best friend'- wants to know what the fuck is wrong with you."Aster awkwardly chuckled after saying that.

"Oh, I didn't almost make them go extinct on purpose. Y'see, I work for an organization called ARKS, short for Artificial Relict To Keep Species. They ask us to kill berserk wildlife infected with Darker cores in order to protect the uninfected. Basic, right? Well, that's where the problems and irony pour in. Uninfected wildlife also attack us, so while it was technically by my hand, I was simply doing my job and killing the uninfected that attacked me in self defense. Hell, I probably have a few mounted Snow and Fang Banther heads back in my room on Oracle."

Shining, Toriel, and Undyne spot the Behemoth and run towards where the others have retreated. Undyne throws yet another spear at it while Toriel throws more fireballs. Shining, meanwhile, shrinks the shield a little to conserve his magic.
Power's Home
"While you two wait," says Miranda, "I can show you her album of her foalhood! I compiled all the photos myself!"
Power cringes at that.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
He pats the artistic pony on the head.
"Pow-Pow, you've been through way worse things than me seeing your forking baby pictures. Remember what Twilight taught ya about not sweating the petty things?"

The project volley made the half-assed mech flinch, although it's going to take a lot more firepower to bring it down.
"Eat plasma, you lowly creatures!"
The Advisor raises up the Behemoth's plasma launchers and fires huge balls of pure plasma at both factions.
Galis sees one of the balls flying towards her.
"C'mon, charge up faster!"
She then screams in an attempt to get more energy. It ends up working, as the aura is now a ginormous aetherical blade.
"Yeah! Now we're talking!"
She then dodges the ball.
"Who's ready to taste aether? Actually, you can't...Well, who's ready to taste the cold embrace of death?"

"Yeah, it's kind of a shitty scenario," Aster said, lying down and crossing his arms in front of him, "It would have been nice to see my friends I left on Morth again, despite most of them being purebreds taught to be racist towards ferals by their parents, despite the evidence clearly stating otherwise..."He adjusted his eyes to look towards Rose and Violet, who were practically lying on top of each other, exchanging words that despite the language barrier clearly sounded as if they were trying to comfort each other.
"That being said, can I... go on?"

Tabby's mind starts to panic as she desperately tries to block his claws but it’s pushed aside as he starts to maul her. She could see her intestines and other organs being shredded apart by Scipion.
"I wanted it to be quick and painless but he can’t control himself when he’s angry. Oh well, at least I’ll be free finally."
Then he releases a Night Daze at her and that was the last thing she saw before she reached tranquility.
Ah,peace. What a good thing. She seems to floating down a endless black void when she died. She definitely going to hell. Then her body pulled up hastily by a mysterious force and back into her lifeless body again. She gets up to see her body back to normal even the injuries inflicted by Scipion. She looks at the unconscious Zoroark with gratitude only for him to be captured by Eris.
"He saved me? At least I can help everyone repay the favor.”
Then she sees the bubble turning into a cloud of Nightmare Fuel. She then runs towards with Onox but she stops dead in her tracks when Meteors start crashing down. She scrambled to dodge them.
Pecan along with Charlotte and Cassiopeia try to destroy them with their attacks.
‘’Eventually,she gives up on saving that fox as Onox catches him. Tabby runs towards Onox to make sure the Nightmare Fuel Cloud hasn’t done any harm.''
"Damn,is he okay from that? We have to focus defeating those High Commands."
Then two familiar Pokemon come towards her.
"Tabby! Thank god you’re okay. I couldn’t bear to watch you getting teared apart like paper."
"Let me kill him while he’s down!"
"No more death! I’m not sure what happened to him. I had to take his rant into mind,maybe we could understand him more."
"Oh okay,but that doesn’t excuse his past mistakes!"
Pecan finally catches up to them,panting. Parallel Pecan also tries to kill some mooks along the way by impaling them with the tip of her parasol.
"You’re alive! Oh…"
"Yeah,not sure what happened but we need to find one of the High Commands to take down ourselves."
"What about Bill? He seems tough enough. You did have some personal vendettas with him."
"Yeah,he’s annoying. Especially the stupid nicknames he had like "Pet" and "Catgirl." I agree but take his strengths in mind."
"Alright,come on. Let’s go beat that Astral Dorito!"
"Okay,let’s go through all of this shit here."
"Can’t wait for them to fall down and crumble like Gingerbread!"
The 5 of them run through the Battlefield looking for the High Commands to fight personally.
Noire looks at them from afar and chuckles.
"Man,you’re going to get yourself killed again. Heh,good luck. Feel to lazy to fight them but it’s fun to watch."
She teleports away and prepares to face any unexpecting rebel to the Legion.

The Legion of Doom's Sub-base
With the meteor shower ending, the battle continues, but the Heartless and the others are losing ground. Xehanort continues to duel the Links, the Protector of Earthrealm, and the Mortal Kombat Champion, all while teleporting away from Volvagia's attacks with ease, even destroying some of its meteors by formchanging the χ-blade into a myriad of weapons.
As time continues, the heroes begin pushing their advantage. The Apex Armor-clad Miko continues her brawl with Thanos, Hanzo and Kuai Liang are still fighting Hela, Kung Lao and Ninten's group begins pushing the Replica Xehanort back, Richardson and the pirates are slowly chipping away at the remaining Heartless, and even Xehanort himself is beginning to lose ground, though he does not show it yet. The old Keyblade Master flies up once more, and raises the χ-blade into the sky, and immediately a golden hue of protecting armor shrouds him.
"Feel the might of light and darkness!" he shouts as slowly, Kingdom Hearts is shrouded in darkness, casting a dark purple hue upon all. He then points the ancient weapon into the ground, and immediately a gigantic beam of darkness, much like a continuous laser cannon burst, hails forth from the blade. Xehanort begins flying around the heroes, the beam moving wherever he points the χ-blade at.
"WATCH OUT! That beam of darkness is incredibly powerful!" Navi warns everyone. Immediately, everyone starts to avoid Xehanort's beam, but a few ground troops and fighters are hit. They are all destroyed.
After some time, Xehanort stops. He takes a look at the devastated battlefield, when he receives a signal. "NOW!" Immediately, Xehanort fires up a beam of light at Kingdom Hearts, and it turns back into its previous golden hue as the clouds begin to surround it once more.
With that signal, the remaining Heartless all teleport away, and the fused Replica Xehanort divides itself into its twelve components, before they all disappear via Corridors of Darkness. Xehanort casts one last look at the Legion's High Commands before looking at Eris as another Corridor of Darkness consumes him. Upon its disappearance, the Keyblade Master is gone.
With the Heartless and Xehanort gone, Dave's forces begin to deal with others. Wild heads to help Sans, Papyrus and co. to battle Bill Cipher, shooting Ancient Arrows and Light Arrows alike. Ninten, Ana, Lloyd and Teddy decide to assist Miko in battling Thanos. Raiden, Liu Kang and Kung Lao stand with Time and his companions as the Hero fires up some arrows to attract Eris' attention.
Equestria
While waiting for the start, Starfall wonders about Power. What's she doing, he wonders? Probably waiting with Ichi; those two are very close. How close, he doesn't know, but he's not one to judge.
Hmm.... I wonder if I should visit her? he ponders to himself. Maybe I should? It doesn't hurt, I guess.
After some time, Starfall checks out from the inn, and charges up a teleport to an area close to Power's house. He takes a quick sit to recover before heading down to the house. He tries to remember where it was the last time before managing to find it. He knocks on the door.
Hope: "Let's go. We'll be together." Lightning: "I only know... that soon, we'll be together."

Shining raises his shield against the beam of darkness to protect Toriel and Undyne while the others run for cover before resuming the fight. The shield eventually breaks, so Shining tells the others that he'll retreat.
One of the Links also helps Sans and Papyrus in fighting Bill.
"you're gonna be in for a wild ride, huh?"
Papyrus groans again.
Power's Home
Power laughs nervously.
"Right... it's just that Miranda can be a bit like Dashie's parents sometimes..."
Miranda giggles and invites Ichi to the living room. They both sit on the couch, and Miranda opens the first page, which shows Power's parents cuddling their daughter a few days after her birth. She was about to explain it when Power hears a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!"
She opens it and greets Starfall.
"Oh!... We were just... having a nice chat while waiting for whatever will pick us up!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

"Right," Aster sighed. "So... Rose and I was born to a couple purebreds down in Alberta. It's a location in a country in Morth. It's called Canada. Nice country. Shitty location. A large section of the population were conservative purists- my parents. They chased away my sister's friend when we were five months or so just for havin' a pelt color they didn't like. Said ferals were dangerous. Little while later, I found out that.."Aster simply looked at Rose and Violet, who gave him the thumbs-up as soon as they noticed. They seemed to be listening to his story as well.
"Found out that my sis had fallen in love with a feral girl. I was instantly supportive, but... it took a little convincing for our parents to accept their relationship. Don't blame 'em, they've just lived their entire lives taught that bein' gay or in cahoots with ferals is wrong, and now being disillusioned by their own children sounds... crazy, to say the least. But, y'know... Our parents accepting us for who we were was one thing, but the social structure around us was a completely different story. Once word got out that Rose was datin' a feral girl, she- and I for openly supporting her- became outcasts. 'Course, we were already ready to move out and then... the feral girl found somethin'. Apparently there's a small cruise ship that was buried underground from a hell of a while back that was designed specifically for some feral species to pilot, so instead of wondering where to even start we worked on it. Even got comfy livin' there. We didn't know what we were doin' at first, but eventually we got the hang of it and even flew it to space. Never looked back."
Aster sighed.
"I guess we just wanted to see our parents again. As strict as they were, they were still well-meaning. They never even beat us, and, aside from the whole racism and homophobia bullshit, they taught us well about... what they knew about the world. I'm honestly still surprised there's a multiverse to speak of and it's been how many months now?"
Aster paused again.
"And now it's all gone. Our planet, our ship... As much as I disliked the UI a bit and the fact that I could hear my sis and her girl from the other room," Aster laughed, "It was still home. I'm sure we'll find a new one, though. Right, sis?"
Rose nodded, smiling.
"I'm rose and my girl's Violet, by the way," Rose said.

Xehanort reappears. "So you did it?" he asks Terminus, but even then, he already has the answer.
"Yes. The powers are mine at last. In the end, they were naughts but tools of fate."
"A fitting end for their arrogance, indeed. I may not have seen their reigns, but it seems they were nothing but pests."
"To good and evil alike. A pity."

"Oh yeah? How about you both break a bone while we're at this?" Wild humors the punny skeleton, as they continue to battle Bill Cipher. "And look at Cippy there. He's such a ridiculously naughty dorito, you know?"
Power's Home
Starfall is greeted by Power herself, who says that "they" were having a chat while waiting.
"'We'?" he asks incredulously, before seeing Ichi in the living room. ".... I take that back, because I had a feeling that this is the case. Not that I particularly mind you two hanging out; I mean who doesn't hang out with their friends? Anyway, mind if I join you guys? Adviser Fira said something about a spaceship and a surprise, if I'm not mistaken, so this should be something. Better than to wait in an inn, anyway."

Power looks back at Miranda, who's having fun talking to Ichi about her family, though she's waiting for her to come back so she can continue her story.
"Uh... Sure... I guess..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
"Hey, don't be a stranger, Star. Any friend of Pow-Pow's is a friend of mine, so if you wanna wait for the spaceship with us, then by all means, make yourself at home. Oh, and, uh... sorry if I wind up offing you in the Games."

The LoD's Sub-Base, Outside
After thinking about it a bit and dodging Xehanort's laser, she decided to go after the High Commands
"That should be them...But I don't think my power is enough. Well, maybe I should charge it up more."
She holds the blade up high like earlier and screams even louder. After a solid minute of non-stop screaming, her hair gets longer, the blade becomes more visible and glowy, and thirteen transparent copies of herself appear, each one being a different class and/or job from her universe.
"Hey, cloak-face! You and your mates are...going down, six fulms under!"
Meanwhile, the Behemoth slowly inches its way towards where the battle is. The Advisor transfers some of its telekinetic powers to the mech, making it catch the remaining meteors above its head. It then tosses the meteors at both sides, with more meteors heading towards the Legion.

Legion of Doom's Sub-base
Eris took her time to study the battlefield. It seems the Forces of Light were winning this one. She didn't bothered to even dodge Time's arrows. Instead she just stopped them before turning them into bigger arrows, launching them back at the Forces of Light, creating one last rain of projectiles.
"Tah." she said before disappearing with her pets that were defeated, deciding to head back to Tartarus until Terminus decided to call her. Before disappearing, she quickly glanced at Medusa. The goddess of darkness quickly looked back as well before going back to her buisness.
Meanwhile, Kraid slowly walked towards the Behemoth and started to shoot spikes at it.
Seriously, I think I'm going to try fighting that Xehanort. He's too dangerous! Aaron thought, having an hard time dodging Zero's attacks and Xehanort's beam of darkness. But to his surprise, he eventually disapppeared with his forces, soon followed by Eris.
What...? There's definitively something wrong... Do they have their own plans? he thought, worried. Suddenly, he was hit by one of James's snap shot.
"James, what the hell??"
"It's because I just wanted to mess with you. And also that." the Inteleon said as King Ghidorah stomped on where Aaron was seconds before.
"... Thanks, I guess."
"You are mostly welcome, dog face. Now do me a favor and finish off that white balloon over there."
Back with Ori, the Nightmare Fuel's cloud attempted to possess him. But giving his nature as a spirit born from pure light, it only destructed itself in the process. He then landed near Kirby and prepared to engage Nightmare.
Meanwhile, the Phantom eyes that Phantoon summoned formed a sentence as it was fighting Bill alongside Wild and the skeleton brothers.
Now let us cut Bill's links with the world of livings. it said, showing that Phantoon also attempted to make a joke.

Bill kept taking all of the attacks thrown at him without much issue, he began to laugh as he warped reality around his attackers.
Bill: Time for you to get lost kids in the darkest place possible.
He proceeded to try and cut open a portal between worlds to toss his attackers into a Black Hole... Before Gallantmon appeared and began engaging him, gaining the upper hand once he turned into Crimson Mode. Meanwhile, HIM was also easily resisting anything Mettaton threw at him, if anything, he was more amused than angry.
HIM: My my, you are quite stylish, let's dance pretty boy!
Meanwhile Thanos kept up with the Apex Armor, as invincible as it was, he was a far deadlier combatant, soon enough he threw Miko to the side, before shrugging off attacks from all the Avengers and other heroes trying to fight him at once, however their combined might was starting to wear him down, before Hela and his minions all backed him up, however he ended up further overwhelmed and eventually defeated when Decade joined the fray, transforming into Kuuga and using the Final Form Card to transform himself into Rising Ultimate Kuuga, with the strength of this form he proceeded to shatter Thanos' blade and evntually destroyed him with a well-placed Rising Ultimate Punch, before Hela and the Black Order were finished off by Den-O who turned into Super Climax Form with Decade's help. Nightmare witnessed it all and began to get furious as he saw his forces getting decimated.
Nightmare: No, impossible!
He then frustratedly sent his remaining Demon Beasts, Grogar's monsters and Henchmaniacs against Bale, who proceeded to fight and destroy most of them with a little bit of difficulty. Meanwhile HIM felt as Aku's essence vanished after Jack destroyed him and decided to simply leave the scene, he then bid a little farewell to Mettaton.
HIM: Oh, I have to leave this place. It's gotten too troublesome, we'll settle our issues another day.
Without missing a beat, he left back to his own dimension through a fiery portal. Meanwhile the Equestrian Heroes weer succesfully able to take Grogar's bell off of him. Before he could try and get it back, he was engaged by the Mane Six, though he beat them all with ease, he later knocked out everyone else fighting him before attempting to reclaim his bell... Only to be interrupted by the villain trio overwhelming him with their combined magic, which seemed to be familiar to Grogar as he felt it was similar to the friendship magic of ponies.
Grogar: How did you get this powerful?!
Tirek: Through bringing us together, foolish goat.
Cozy: We let you stomp all over us for too long.
Chrysalis: And now you'll perish.
Their combined might allowed for them to send Grogar flying, right next to Bill, who was nearly defeated by Gallantmon, although the latter ended up too injured to move anymore. The two High Commands began to recover as Zero and the Overlord as well as Ghidorah and Smaug, joined them. However, it was then that Bale arrived, destroying the weakened Ghidorah and Smaug with a beam that his suit transformed into fireballs. He then advised the Equestrian heroes to use the power of their friendship to finish off the High Commands sans Nightmare. Which they did, although Bill and Grogar were only depowered and The Overlord was forced back into his incorporeal form
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."

"Well, why the hells did that bloody G-Man needed me if that was going to happen? Oh, well. May as well focus on that Magitek armour everyone seems to be ignoring."
She flies to where the Behemoth is.
"Do you really think power gained from screaming would stop me?"
"Honestly? No idea. But it's worth a shot!"
She uses her copies to attack the mech in unison, even cutting off the plasma cannons.

Bill then heard it and began panicking, before trying in vain to talk his way out of this.
Bill: Hey, I-I promise this was all a fun joke, I never meant any of that seriously... Right? Right? C'mon it was funny!

The Legion of Doom's Sub-base
Time's few arrows are turned back in a larger form, but before it could harm anyone, Roy Mustang burns them all with his flame alchemy, since those arrows are the standard wooden arrows. As a result, there was nothing more but a few ashes of wood remaining.
Eventually, the Legion of Doom loses ground, and they are defeated.... or so it seems. Richardson, the pirates, and the tributes stand together, watching the defeated High Commands members carefully.
"Wait.... the Legion has not unleashed their weapon. Could it be....?" Richardson ponders aloud. The others tense up at this, and they prepare themselves for any possibilities.
Meanwhile, seeing the Behemoth attacking, the Raptor begins firing her orbital bombardment cannons at it, knowing that its size would make it hard to avoid such powerful shots.
