It's 3, actually. He benefitted from the patronage system early in his career, and it came as a shock when he ended it.

Good try, but the lie was 3. Upon speculation at least...

Regarding each point: ^note (1) see Boboiboy Galaxy episode 11 particularly the last 5 minutes. (2) He's aggressive when triggered and amiable when entertained. In the original series, the way Boboiboy Fire could flip between the two moods was more stark. (3) This is a bit of a speculation; but in the original series, he's way more playful and easily entertained, and had to exhaust himself to return to normal. In his Galaxy debut, however, he's more aggressive for the most part, but he was able to calm himself down with a little help, and, that's how he avoided destroying the volcanic planet they were on.

Actually, in this installment (Ducktales 2017), 2 is false at the moment. This version of Drake Mallard takes on the mantle of Darkwing Duck after being inspired by an in-universe tv show of the same name. And Drake lives in St. Canard, not the show’s main setting of Duckburg. Gosalyn has show up, but Drake hasn’t adopted her yet.

Correct! He was never a villain, though he was used as a pawn by the villain, getting emotionally manipulated and then transforming into that form of his, sort of like how Hali was first summoned.
