Checking in. It appears that all the Great Evils were able to be revived when the Black Soulstone was shattered. As after so long being separate they did not want to be one again, without something like the Black Soulstone holding them together.
Probably didn't help that Diablo was the dominant mind in the fusion due to the circumstances. It was not an equal partnership.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThe page was recreated (after being cut because of the older, stricter unreleased work policies) and a handful of tropes added. Any help is appreciated.
Yeah, so do I. What were they thinking? x_x
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.-Is puzzled about complaints of any boss difficulty due to the way I play in 3, which has me healing almost faster than any enemies can hurt me as a Crusader-
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.One of the reasons why that was my favorite class.
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.I need to finish 3, speaking of. I'm on the 4th act.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I remember when I tried a hardcore campaign.
Duriel put an end to that right quick.
I'm on a hardcore run of D2 right now, nearing the end of Act 2. Wish me luck lmao
What do you think of Diablo's portrayal of demons? In which instead of fallen angels, they're an entirely separate race that's literally Made of Evil?
In a way they are related to the Angels. The primordial Prime Evil Tathamet was originally the creator deity Anu's cast off evil side. Angels and Demons are both technically descended from Anu.
Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, the Burning Hells and the High Heavens were both made from the remains of Anu and Tahamet due to them both killing each other in their battle.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It's pretty amusing to realize that Tyrael is technically Diablo's uncle.
See, Angels are all born via the Crystal Arch directly from Anu's power, making them all his children.
The first Demons aka the Prime Evils are all directly born from Tathamet's remains, making them his children. And since Tathamet was born from Anu's evil, he's technically Anu's son. Meaning Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal are Anu's grandkids.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWhoa, talk about your soap operas.
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.Then recall that humanity was born from Lilith, Mephisto's daughter, and Inarius, an Angel.
Humanity is descended from a relationship between someone and her grand-uncle.
TBF, most myths have this kind of divine incest as origins for everything.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHas anybody here played Diablo 2 Remastered yet? The initial reviews looked promising, save for the always online bullcrap, but now I'm hearing stories about accounts glitching out and erasing account progress simply due to synchronization issues. Don't wanna be putting money towards Blizzard if they're having a buggy launch again.
I haven't seen a proper thread and I figure it probably wouldn't even last very long if one was created anyways, hence why I'm posting here.
D2R is a mess. I don't recommend online play, and if you do, give your characters different names.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"From a Biblical standpoint, that would be like if God accidentally created Satan and his demons while creating angels and the universe.
From a Biblical standpoint it'd be if God and Satan killed each other.
Diablo is a setting where God Is Dead, which probably explains why it's such a shithole.
As for D 2 R...part of it is that (online-only crap aside) it is actually pretty faithful to the original game. Unfortunately, that means it still has a lot of the original game's flaws. One review went so far as to admit they had a Nostalgia Filter concerning Diablo II.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSome of those flaws could be alleviated in the original with mods. In D 2 R, seeing how Blizzard has made everything on its hand to suffocate the modding community...
Seriously, my avatar comes from the embodiment of the So Bad, It's Good trope. To be honest I wonder how much Anu was Old Testament, but it seems pretty obvious he wasn’t as “good” as he believed when Malthael was one of his aspects born from his remains.
Or that his evil became a monstrous multi-headed abomination. Like sheesh there’s malevolence in ones heart and the there’s TH At.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I've been playing D 2 R with an offline Necromancer for about a week now, and the only real issue I've come across is that the voice clips for the player and the NPCs aren't playing, even after trying both audio-only and audio + text. It's bringing back great memories, although I'd forgotten how much of a pain the inventory management is.
Considering how Diablo's appearance changed after he used Leah as a host in D3, I'm very curious to see how being in the Black Soulstone with the other Evils will affect how he looks.
God in the Old Testament was kind of an ass, wasn't he?
If the shared world can't be turned off that's a deal breaker.
Necromancer is likely out since it looks like the Priests of Rathma are on Team Lilith.
I would love for Crusader or Paladin to return.
