We're posting TROS spoilers now? C-3PO IS THE DEATH STAR'S FATHER- *shot*
That actually makes me wonder - at which point does talking about a Star Wars movie not constitute spoilers anymore?
Standard spoiler policy is a month or so after release. I'd say we should be able to discuss TROS here now spoiler free.
Maybe we should lock the other thread since it's no longer needed?
And Rey is actually Kylo Ren!!!!!
You see, Rise of Skywalker reveals Rey has some powerful schizophrenia and that she has Kylo Ren as a split personality and whenever they are in the same room, Rey keeps talking to herself while everyone awkwardly plays along.
Personally, my favorite reveal from TROS was that Rey is actually The Child from The Mandalorian, and that Yoda's species is only small and green in the early and late stages of their life. This was clever because we've only ever seen them in the early and late stages of their life before.
I'm curious if that means any other Star Wars characters are secret Yodas? My guess is Rose. Clearly that part where she defeated Jar-Jar Binks with that those lightsaber claws must mean she's a powerful force sensitive, given that Jar-Jar Binks was revealed to secretly be Darth Plagueis in disguise the whole time.
My favorite part was when Palpatine ate a space turtle. That turtle was never to be seen again.
Well we know where it went though. Yum...
Man, the yeetening has to be one of the best things to happen in the lead up to the movie's premiere. The sheer salt it caused in social media. It was amazing.
Maybe just avoid spoilers for new SW stuff that gets big?
Not RETURN OF well not Really cause the real heroes aren't here"
The title is reffering to Anakins redemption not the return of the Order
It's a reference for both.
It's the old "is The Last Jedi singular or plural".
Foreign markets use plural for TLJ, which would evidently indicate the intent (by Disney, at least) was plural. The fact the film is called Return of the Jedi and not Return of a Jedi would indicate it's plural but it's vague. In Brazil ROTJ is translated with the ambiguous "de" (rather than "do" which is definitely singular or "dos" which is definitely plural), which to me tells the translators just had no idea what the fuck a Jedi is and tried to cover their bases.

If you didn't know, next Monday will be the full reveal of the next "phase" of post-reboot Star Wars, which is codenamed "Project Luminous." They've been remarkably tight-lipped about what it actually is; all we know is that it will include both novels and comics. Some sort of new-canon analogue to KOTOR seems to be the most common theory.

Given Mace Windu and Dooku, I think I like the idea that all of Yoda's apprentices became super-serious types because that's just the natural way to deal with someone like him.
Like how Obi-Wan was originally a stickler, because someone between himself and Qui-Gon had to be.

But Obi-Wan was also the sassiest motherfucker in recorded history

Though he only became sassy after becoming Anakin's master.
I recall him getting a few shots off in TPM. The negotiations were short.
Also I'm doubtful that a stone-cold demeanor is what led to him and Satine getting it on.
Yeah Obi-Wan was the Sassmaster. So much that he even stole Grievous' "Hello There" for their final battle.
Almost 15 minutes of pure sass, sarcasm, and savagery

Edit: ignore this

He's also the only person who actively goes toe to toe with Ventress when the battle flirting starts.
Obi-Wan's sass did eventually leave him in his old age. By the time of his final days, the best comeback he could come up with was,
Obi-Wan's zinger career has had better days.
To be fair he also somewhat got one in on Vader with the whole ghost thing - first Ahsoka up and vanishes into thin air when Vader goes for the killing blow, now Obi-Wan as well?
