Might be a real Popplio...

You are a budding digital artist ready to become the next Van Gogh. Your friends are, too... Then you get an idea. An absolutely brilliant idea, dare I say... Perfect.

"Guys, why don't we go online and draw something together? With our combined efforts, we could make something beautiful!"

All of your friends cheer and run home with glee to prepare, except for one. It was Micheal, the local pessimist of the group. "This isn't gonna work. Everyone's gonna trip over themselves." He says to you in his trademark monotone voice. You just tell him he's a silly goose for believing such a thing, before frolicking home yourself.

Anywho, the big meetup is scheduled for tomorrow. It's at bedtime when you realize you and your friends didn't plan out a thing about what to draw or what it's artstyle would be, but you're sure things will work out just fine...

Right?

Hey guys, this is my first RP on the forums so I decided to keep it simple. Plus, I like me some Roll To Dodge and I haven't seen any of them here recently, so this'll be perfect for stretching my creative muscles!

    open/close all folders

    Mechanics
  • How do you art? It's quite simple. Just state what you want to draw and depending on the detail of said drawing, up to 3 D6's will be rolled to determine your performance. The lower your roll, the worse your drawing will be, and vice versa. There's no set thing that you must draw, so you can make whatever you'd like!

  • You can also do actions outside of drawing as well, such as listening to music to motivate yourself, drinking coffee to give yourself some energy and so on. These can help you draw better by adding numbers to the dice and giving buffs, but low rolls on outside actions can lead to catastrophe. Do so at your own risk!

  • Another artist down on their luck? You can help them out by adding one of your dice rolls to theirs at the cost of your own drawing's quality. The goal in the story is to work together, after all. Or you could just say fuck it and draw a Gundam destroying the peaceful flower field your friends were working on, that's fine as well.

  • After 30 days, the drawing will be shown to Michael to prove that you and your friends could make a masterpiece... Or not. The piece may also be created IRL and posted in this thread before the next round begins!

    Rules
  • If you ask others to help you draw something and they decline, do not pester or yell at them into doing so. They can draw what they like.

  • Do not harass any member who ruins/hinders one of your drawings. It's an unpredictable game of teamwork and backstabbing, so it can (and likely will) happen (sometimes out of the accused's control).

  • Please actually draw something. Existing solely to make other artist's lives a living hell isn't allowed.

There's no character sheet to speak of since you're playing as yourself. Just state your favorite color if you want to join and I'll put you on the player list. I plan to start the game in 2 days or so once enough people join, see you there!
