Ambiguous Name: Lightswitch Surprise

I'm going to give the poll a couple more days, but it looks fairly decisive at the moment.

The minimum amount of time has actually passed (per Three-Day Rule); it just doesn't have enough votes yet.

Agreed. What's the next step; do we need to make Sandbox pages for both new pages, or should one or both of them be run through Trope Launch Pad?

Sandbox is probably faster. Too many TRS-important drafts get neglected or forgotten once taken to the TLP.

I agree that it's faster. The reason I recently asked whether Some Anvils Need to Be Dropped's thread (which was started in January or February) should be closed is because the supertrope's TLP draft was the only thing keeping it in the backlog.

I'm pretty sure the sandbox method was how Foreign Fanservice's Trope Transplant was done, and it was decided to do the same for Relationship Writing Fumble (though the latter hasn't completed yet).

Sandbox.Caught Coming Home Late

Excellent, we have both Sandbox's up.

Are people happy with the name Caught Coming Home Late, or does it need to be workshopped some more?

And are people happy with the sandboxes? Feel free to suggest, or edit them. They aren't mine.

I still think Caught Coming Home Late is a bit dry, but not sure if I have any standout alternatives. Guardian By The Light Switch? Coming Home Late Bait?

Caught Coming Home Late is more straightforward. I think the suggestions are misleading and too narrow. Someone protecting a light switch, someone becoming bait for some monster.

Oh, there was a Caught Breaking Curfew suggested on the first page. But that doesn't count examples where there's no curfew because the caught party wasn't supposed to be outside to begin with.

I've moved the Lightswitch Surprise sandbox over to the main page and finished doing wicks. The Playing With and Image Links subpages should be cut.

So what else needs to be done? It looks like both pages could use Laconics, and I think Caught Coming Home Late needs a pass through image suggestion again (because the current image is a single panel comic.) And presumably there are some wicks to work through.

I'm sure that sums it up.

Starred; will see when I can sift through the wicks. For now, I'll bring up the pic in IP.

Update: Comment on page does note that there was permission from the artist. No IP thread required.

The Playing With on Caught Coming Home Late kind of has a laconic already.

Doing a bit of crosswicking for Lightswitch Surprise. One wick added so far (Casino Royale).

Update: Titus crosswicked, and that's as much as we can do for Lightswitch Surprise. However, I swear that I saw the trope somewhere else...

Update 2: Looking at a Moments page for the work I was thinking of, and sure enough, it's there! I'll write an example for that one in just a moment.

Okay, did some crosswicking to bring up the wick count. I even added a couple examples onto the trope page, too. Both tropes should be healthy now.

Laconic added for Lightswitch Surprise as well. Looks like we can call it done.

Edit: I've also added a mention of Caught Coming Home Late on Adult Fear; there should be some other cross-wicks with similar tropes (Education Mama and Overprotective Dad as typical catchers, You Are Grounded! as a consequence, etc).
