I just discovered this person on YouTube, member name is LegalEagle (real first name is Devin) who is a real life lawyer, and has been doing videos discussing the accuracies (or mistakes) TV shows or movies make when featuring real legal matters.
He already has many videos up, but this video
is a good starting point, where he discusses the infamous series finale to Seinfeld.
Mod Note
There is a forum-wide ban on discussing US politics, which remains in place as long at the dedicated US Politics thread
is locked.
If a new episode goes back onto that subject (or any of the other banned topics
) then you are not allowed to discuss it. You can discuss any video about anything else, just not related to US politics.
If this becomes a problem, posts will be thumped and there may be further consequences.
We've already had to lock this thread once. If we have to lock it again, it's likely to remain locked for a very long time — and may not get unlocked at all. We'd really like to avoid that.

Referring to the use of 'welching' to mean reneging on a debt. Explanation here
.
First time I'm hearing of that word being a slur, although I guess it makes sense.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"which two presidents used it? for the curious? If they were from say before WW 2 chances are high that the sandals were forgotten by most folks by now.

Well, that's what you get after thousands of years of conflict. And it's hardly just Europeans doing this. Eskimo was a slur for Inuit people long before the Europeans got there, just to name a particularly famous one.
Man, those must have been the days, when the biggest scandal coming out of the White House was the prez using some obscure slur he probably wasn't even aware of being one...

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesReferring to the use of 'welching' to mean reneging on a debt. Explanation here.
That's a fairly decent tl;dr summary.
As it says, there's a very long-standard of the English portraying the Welsh as thieves and liars (look up the English nursery rhyme "Taffy Was A Welshman" and the (thankfully now extinct) English tradition of burning leek-wearing effigies to the rhyme on St. David's Day). The link also points out the problem with using the term "Wales" and "Welsh" just to refer to the nation and people, too.
If you want an example, here's
the Washington Post mocking the outcry in the Welsh-American community when President Clinton apologised for doing it back in 1995. It starts off looking like it's going to be a serious article, but doesn't bother hiding the mockery by the end of the article.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Yeah, lots of Irish, Scottish and Welsh redheads, so lots of bullying in the UK. Women are as bullied as men. If they're natural redheads. Dyed redheads get told they're attractive though. There's been a push for the past couple of years to get red hair added to the list of protected characteristics, which would turn it into illegal discrimination. Some of the hate directed at Prince Harry is because he's a redhead.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Eh, I don't think that's so firm a thing. You get red-headed discrimination within stuff like playground bullying and when people already dislike a person and are looking for something to insult, but I really don't think it's on the same level as other minorities. Also while it is a more niche view, annecdotaly at least I have definitely encountered people who consider redheaded men attractive.

I could have done without him using the "welsh" slur. You'd think that would be a bit more of a well-known faux pas, given that at least two US presidents have quite publicly been forced to apologise for using it in the past.
