Any 5mb is only as good as its The Lancer.
Try avoid game mechanics
At least one member should be native.
Barbarians don't really do full-body armour, though. That's kinda what makes them barbarians.
As for OP, yeah, sure, five-man band, why not? It's an awful lot of characters to juggle, if you ask me, but most series with this sort of team tend to focus on one or two members anyway.
And yeah, please, don't do game mechanics. That trope is so tired and honestly not even all that great to begin with. And for that matter, don't try to be clever and have your computer nerd be the mage because magic is apparently just like programming. I hate that with a passion.
I had no intent on making it an RPG Mechanics 'Verse. If you ask me, it’s just a lazy way to flesh the world out, unless there’s some justifiable reason for it.
Also, only The Leader was going to be from Earth/Stupidworld/etc. the other four will be native.

What I meant by breaking clichés was to avoid using them. I personally feel like isekai is one of those genres that feels too wish-fulfillment for me. My MC will probably zig-zag the Stock Light-Novel Hero, and the party would consist of 3 male and 2 female.
An actual epic-fantasy story that isn’t wish fulfillment from the lens of a Mary Sue. My intent for this manga was to rebuild the isekai genre from the ground up, and doing it less for the trend and more for the story itself.
I have a weird sort of taste for the genre. The concept of a high-school student from Earth being sent to a fantasy world is something I love, but the problem is when he treks deep into Mary Sue territory (like many of them do). Ironically enough, my initiation to the genre was the Deconstructive Parody of it that is Konosuba.
Well, that, and the Five-Man Band, the Two Girls to a Team, the whole isekai bit, and the fact that your clueless teenager is propelled to a status of power and influence by account of being The Chosen One as opposed to any personal merit.
Like, come on, what's the clever bit?

Could maybe change up the setting a little too. Standard Fantasy Settings are the most cliched part of Isekai-stories, but one set in a more Late Medieval/renaissance based setting would actually stand out. Sure cannons and handcannons might be a thing, but it would prevent your 5MB from becoming invincible Mary Sues that dominate the battlefield.
Or a Victorian era period would be interesting. Or Even better one that is a Gaslamp Fantasy or Steampunk setting. Other undertilized fantasy settings would be Ocean Punk, Cattle Punk, Sky Punk, and Dungeon Punk.

Fantasy tropes are the least of my worries. It’s isekai clichés that I’m trying to avoid, but I do plan on playing with the tropes. My main protagonist, Kouji Akezawa, was going to zig-zag the Stock Light-Novel Hero, potentially being a cross between it and Stock Shōnen Hero.

I plan on making an isekai comic that breaks many the various clichés associated with the genre (i.e. OP hero, harem, RPG Mechanics Verse), and was wondering if having a Five-Man Band type of party (3 male, 2 female) would work out.
It’s going to be a traditional medieval-esque fantasy world and there’ll be a lot of action, which is why I personally prefer it here over the Four-Temperament Ensemble.
Any advice?
