There is a moratorium on merging character pages, so don't ask for that.
Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- References to Dummied Out content for video game characters.
- YMMV / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly).
If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes
.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

I think we need to move the story tropes from the character sections to the relevant work and recap pages to reduce clutter and duplication issues.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.A Practical Guide to Evil currently has:
- Characters (182k bytes)
I don't think this makes much sense; the heroes and villains align more closely to the various factions on the general characters page than, well, whether they're a hero or villain. I'd propose a restructure like these sandboxes I've made:
- Characters (183k bytes)
- The Kingdom of Callow (142k bytes)
- The Dread Empire of Praes (123k bytes)
Am I cool to just make the change?
Currently, the Cookie Run Epic Cookie character pages for the OvenBreak version are split into the following pages:
- Characters.Cookie Run Epic Cookies (for part one, which confusingly has a duplicate page)
- Characters.Cookie Run Epic Cookies Season Five Onward (for part two, of which Characters.Cookie Run Epic Cookies Part Two was deleted as a duplicate page)
- Characters.Cookie Run Epic Cookies Part Three (for part three??)
Would it be better to keep the naming convention by season number for OvenBreak or change it to a more general one like part 1/2/3 like with the CookieRun: Kingdom Epic Cookie character pages?
Also, this post
suggests that the character pages be reworked to be sorted in alphabetical order than by rank.
The The Karate Kid (2010) page isn't exactly small (25,728 bytes) but now that Karate Kid: Legends (and thus, the 2010 film) are considered canon to the Miyagi-Verse, do you think it would be appropriate to move the tropes from the former page onto one of the main The Karate Kid pages? Maybe The Karate Kid: Other Dojos for now?

The Spy Kids: All the Time in the World character sheet is also way too small (6,117 bytes) so I suggest merging it with the character sheet for the first 3 movies (37,705 bytes).

I'd rather Characters.Spy Kids All The Time In The World be merged with Film.Spy Kids All The Time In The World instead since own spaces have priority, and be cleared of ZCE. If a Characters/ page is small (it doesn't look to me, though it will be without ZCE) it shouldn't have been made in the first place.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupCharacters.Ender Magnolia Bloom In The Mist was recently launched but it both has an "under construction" label on it as well as a lot of empty folders. Should we move to the a sandbox.
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AShould Characters.Dungeons And Dragons Races be moved to Characters.Dungeons And Dragons Species? On one hand, "species" is the official terminology as of the 2024 core rulebooks and I believe the official name takes precedence while naming things on this wiki. On the other hand, "race" is still commonly used among the fanbase and a move would require admin approval since this page has ~14,600 inbounds.
Thoughts on this example? From Characters.Omori Main Group, Faraway Town (Real World) Basil.
- Anti-Villain: There's nothing inherently villainous about Basil, even if he's an antagonist on some routes — Basil stabs Sunny's eye during a psychotic breakdown in the Real World, and his doppelganger Stranger is a Hero Antagonist in the Hikkikomori route. This is because Basil's involvement and guilt over covering up the Accidental Murder of Mari have made him an opposing force to Sunny's escapism and denial, while still ultimately keeping Basil somewhat sympathetic when it's shown that his reason for covering up the murder was to help Sunny.
I don't think the Anti-Villain trope fits him. In the game, Basil isn't really made out to be majorly antagonistic or villainous, it doesn't set you up to be against him. The game generally paints him as an otherwise good or at least morally gray person that has done bad things, but again, not antagonistic. Even on the point about him being an opposition to Sunny's escapism- he definitely is, but again, he's not made out to be an antagonist because of it.
And since it's mentioned in the example... Stranger being a Hero Antagonist for opposing Sunny's escapism is correct, but I'm not sure it fits on this page, and especially this example since they're about real world Basil. Stranger is a character only in Sunny's dreams. Based on the real Basil definitely, but calling him "Basil's doppelganger" on a page about the real Basil feels strange.

"Welcome, folks! Ready for some giggles?"
"There's nothing inherently villainous" then he wouldn't be an Anti-Villain, but, to me, him covering up a past crime and attacking Sunny over it does in fact makes him villainous, if not even Big Bad Ensemble, despite the good intentions.
"it doesn't set you up to be against him." He's literally the Pre-Final Boss. Basil opposing the player character in any form makes him The Antagonist by definition.
The Stranger however has own folder in OMORI – Headspace so that information doesn't belong to Basil.

TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
I'll at least remove the Stranger stuff. I still think the situation is a bit too gray to really call anyone a straight up villain, but I'll leave it for now.
So I've found some trope abuse on King Goobot's entry on the The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron characters page.
- Big Bad: The biggest one of the series. He is the main antagonist in the movie and two hour long episodes. Not to mention the main antagonist in the series' pilot and most recurring villain besides Calamitous.
King Goobot is only the Big Bad of the movie Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. In the series itself, he only appears in two episodes and doesn't quite match the influence and impact compared to Professor Calamitous (who is the Big Bad of the series). He has the same amount of appearances as most villains in the series and being the main antagonist of two episodes isn't enough to be a Big Bad of a series. Also, the series' pilot is the movie so that info bit is redundant and repetitive.
So I motioned that Big Bad entry be trimmed to his role as the main antagonist of the movie.
Is the other information accurate? It would be
"He is the main antagonist in the movie and two hour long episodes, as well as the main antagonist in the series' pilot."
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup![]()
Doesn't King Goobot serve as the main antagonist of the series finale, where he has all the show's villains working for him, including Professor Calamitous? I'd say that makes him the Big Bad. Calamitous may be more recurring, but in the end he's nothing more than Goobot's lackey.
So someone ended up splitting the whole page for Characters.Inside Out. I did get approval to make JUST Characters.Inside Out Rileys Mind but someone else ended up splitting the human characters and other emotions into their own pages (Characters.Inside Out Human Characters annd Characters.Inside Out Emotions) even though the lists aren’t even long. Is it possible for us to revert back to how it was before? With just Characters.Inside Out and Characters.Inside Out Rileys Mind?

That would make him the Final Boss not the Big Bad of the series.
