There is a moratorium on merging character pages, so don't ask for that.
Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- References to Dummied Out content for video game characters.
- YMMV / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly).
If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes
.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

- Contentious characters attracting complaints and exaggerations (e.g. when their status as The Scrappy starts impacting examples for other tropes) have their own thread
.
- Character-Specific Pages have their own separate cleanup thread
- Self-demonstrating character pages also have their own thread
.
- Inanimate objects and locations on character pages have their own cleanup thread
- Character pages for Reality Show contestants are on-topic here, but there's also a dedicated Reality Show cleanup thread
which deals with the No Real Life Examples, Please! grey areas these shows create, and may sometimes be a better place to discuss them.
- Character pages for the Marvel Cinematic Universe have a dedicated thread here

Yeah the X-Men Characters pages are going to be some of the hardest to deal with, especially for the CSP's.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!I don't think the Titans character pages should have so many images.
Characters.Green Arrow Speedy, Characters.Wonder Girl Donna Troy, and Characters.Tempest all have basically every costume they wore for...some reason when 1 or 2 images should be enough.
Over on Characters.Aquaman Supporting Cast Mera has 3 images for some reason so I think one or two can be cut.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I've honestly never been sure what to do with the extra images. Either it should be the same as the main folder, or the folder should just be a link to the main character location.
Edit: I'm going to ping ~Elio Herondale, as he made the Tempest page and usually does alot of work on Teen Titans adjacent characters.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!Middle-earth Film: Dwarves only has 23,616 bytes while Middle-earth Film: Other Characters has 39,867. Allgood to merge?
I found a few more sets of alternate-history-type game mods with a bunch of really anemic character pages:
- The New Order: A New Millennium
- The Red Order First Days Of Eurasia
- Thousand-Week Reich
- Days Of Conflict - this one I'm not really sure what to do with because there doesn't actually seem to be a work page?? Just a ton of Characters/ pages and one Miscellaneous/ page. I suppose I'll try messaging the creator of the character pages.
I'm going to be combing through and hiding all tropeless Characters and adding a commented-out message at the top (probably the one in the pinned post). As always, any help is appreciated!

South Park: Family Members is getting the "too long" warning. If giving Randy back his own page is off the table, have we considered making a separate page for the boys' families? If we did that, we could separate the Cartmans and the Tenormans.

I’m slowly working on the Masako X - Dragon Ball What-If Character pages. I need help with indexing. I put the index indents on the page, but it’s not showing up on there. I also need to know where to index the main character page

On Characters.Jack Jeanne, someone changed the top labels
to highlight that the character Kisa Tachibana is the main protagonist. The problem is that Kisa is the only protagonist in the game and there is no perspective switching at all. Safe to revert to the old labels linked?
Atelier Series character pages for modern sub-series have a weird layout, where main protagonists of every game have their own collective page. I'm not that familiar with the franchise, but byte counts currently look really bad, with the Secret series being the worst one.
- Atelier Secret Series Main Characters: 29,878 bytes
- Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout: 3,932 bytes
- Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy: 4,035 bytes
- Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key: 3,065 bytes
Would it be correct to just move folders to character pages of their debut games?
I thought that was weird to. If I had to make an educated guess, the troper who did that (hozzukichan) wanted to organize everything since the old pages repeated the main characters (IE. Ryza and co. were on each entry'd character page).
If I had to clean up the page, I would just put everyone in big character page and add headers on which game they debuted in.
Edit: grammar

She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/ADouble post but Characters.Phantom Brave, there is a section on it dedicated to the characters appearing in Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero. Since that game hasn't been released yet, most of the info is from the website and we are not allowed to cute websites since those count as advertisment. What should we do about?
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/AShould Criminal Case: World Edition absorb Criminal Case: SOMBRA?
Same question for Criminal Case: The Conspiracy & Criminal Case: Ad Astra .
Hi, I would like to request some advice regarding this page (Spoilers for Planetary).
The protagonist, Elijah Snow, is an amnesiac man. He works for an organization founded by someone simply referred to as the Fourth Man, whose identity is a major mystery. Halfway through the series, we find out Elijah and the Fourth Man are one and the same.
The problem is that the Characters page has two separate folders for the same character. The folder for Elijah Snow has tropes about him in general, while the folder for the Fourth man only has tropes about the circumstances that led him to lose his memories.
Just wondering if they should be merged or kept as is.
The voice actors for Characters.Love And Deepspace have been moved to the top. Do I need to revert since it possibly violates the "first come, first serve" rule?
She/Her | Currently cleaning: N/A![]()
Probably kept separate, because an apparent major character not having a folder would be a huge giveaway that Two Aliases, One Character is in play.

First for future reference, as Wildstorm was bought out by DC, this can also be brought up in the DC Comics Cleanup and Maintenance
thread. Just shilling the thread to build up traffic.
Second, I 50/50 on keeping them separate, as it’s a big spoiler for the comic. If you do want to merge them, you may want to put a spoiler in the folder title, and keep the fourth man folder as a redirect to Snow’s folder.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!Would it be OK to move the cell juniors and present cell from Dragon Ball Red Ribbon Army to Dragon Ball: Cell ?
Regarding Bleach's character page: The Gotei 13, Espada, and Sternritter were each split in half (see here for the previous index), but were recently split into smaller pages. I don't think this was necessary, as the original pages weren't giving warning about getting clogged up.

¿?¡!Characters.Jelles Marble Runs has no tropes, just images and lists of team members. Even then, it's incomplete.
"Hark! For your greatest fears manifest in yours truly!" (She/Her) (Current focus: Image Pickin')Almost everyone listed on Just Add Magic Others is an empty folder with no tropes or even an image/description despite the page having been around for months, and even the characters who do have content are either only one or two tropes, or a redirect to another section.

I would say that the X-Men who have CSP’s are some of the more prominent X-men And are more associated with the X-Men with the exception of Exodus, Magneto, And maybe Emma, Frost. I would say it’s the ones who don’t have CSP’s like Northstar and Frenzy who are more nebulous
