There is a moratorium on merging character pages, so don't ask for that.
Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- References to Dummied Out content for video game characters.
- YMMV / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly).
If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes
.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

- Character-Specific Pages have their own separate cleanup thread
- Self-demonstrating character pages also have their own thread

- Inanimate objects and locations on character pages have their own cleanup thread
- Character pages for Reality Show contestants are on-topic here, but there's also a dedicated Reality Show cleanup thread

- Character pages for the Marvel Cinematic Universe have a dedicated thread here

Characters.Cobra Kai is currently identical to Characters. The Karate Kid, should it just be made into a redirect?
I don't think that's quite necessary. The former page is a page for the franchise, and the only work in the franchise that includes every page happens to be Cobra Kai. They look similar because they happen to overlap, but one's for the franchise as a whole and links to the indivdual work pages in the process, so I don't think a redirect is quite needed here.
Tales of the Gold Monkey has several zero-context examples.
By several meaning the majority don't have context and a few have "X is this".
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI was going through pages with Rant Inducing Slight and I found Pokémon and Digimon RP, which has zero-context examples and several folders without Tropes.
Some groups of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul characters have their character tropes hard-split between the two series, such as the Cartel and Los Pollos Hermanos. Meanwhile other Character Specific Pages for the franchise get away with hosting tropes from both shows via just a soft split.
Also Breaking Bad: Madrigal Electromotive seems to be too small to exist on its own.
So I am going to propose the following reorganizations to resolve the inconsistencies:
- Make Better Call Saul: Cartel a disambiguation page between Breaking Bad: Juarez Cartel (for non-Salamancas) and Breaking Bad: Salamanca Family (for Salamancas and associates).
- Merge Breaking Bad: Madrigal Electromotive, Better Call Saul: Los Pollos Hermanos, and Breaking Bad: Los Pollos Hermanos together.

Many folders in Death Of Heroes just have "* trope" being listed instead of actual Tropes. Also, instead of character descriptions, all the folders just have "blurb" listed. No, I'm not making this up.
Lots of pages in Characters.Survival Of The Fittest and Characters.Survival Of The Fittest Mini have either no or very few characters with tropes. For example, of the 6 subpages and 276 characters listed for Survival of the Fittest v4, it looks like maybe 22 have any tropes with context.
Is it okay to do some major merges and cutlist what's left?
Glad-to-Be-Alive Sex is already problematic when listed on the parents' end, but there's no reason to list it on the character entry for the child, correct?
2025: the year it all ends?Characters.Ellipsis has 13 subpages, most of which only comprise one or two characters. I combined the 10 "Reprobate X Division" pages into 1 sandbox at Sandbox.Characters Ellipsis. Does it look alright? I was thinking of transplanting the sandbox into a new page, probably something along the lines of "Characters.Ellipsis Reprobate Divisions".

I split off a page for the main character group
I think Characters.Money Heist Korea Joint Economic Area was prematurely made. It's been a few days since the page was made; all the folders except two are empty, and of the tropes in those two folders a few are duplicated from the main work page. That shouldn't be the case, but if we remove the character-exclusive tropes from the Series/ page, it'd fall into Works Needing Tropes territory.
I think it should be cut at the moment.
Tagging ~Inky 100 who made the page.

Given some of the phrasing in the heading indices, they may have been intending to rework this into a combined set of Franchise.Aladdin character sheets. I can see that it might need cleanup (Characters from "The Return Of Jafar" are troped on the same pages as characters from "Aladdin: The Series", for one) But I question where they drew the line for splitting, and how they titled pages - Aladdin Titular Protagonists for... Aladdin himself?
