This is a thread to discuss those Administrivia pages in need of a little updating- you know the ones. The ones that still cite rules we've long since changed, or the ones that don't properly cite our current standards. Some of them are even scattered in Main/!
So, this is the place to take those pages and fix them up with the help of the community.

Note: This thread is not for asking mods to make one-off edits to Locked Pages, Administrivia-related or otherwise, such as requesting additions to an Example Sectionectomy index. Please use this thread
for that.

How to Create a Work Page recommends as an option using "this page's discussion section" to get help with new pages. Is it a good place though?

Any more thoughts on the Characters page spoiler guidance from a few posts back? Are we good to add this in, or does it need more consensus and/or a bit of rework on the phrasing?

- Should Genres be added to "Not a Trope but notable"?
- At Namespace "Things that are not tropes or indexes do not go in the Main namespace." doesn't account for Genres and Disambigs.

I added those because I see no reason not to just go ahead and add them, especially disambiguation pages since in recent years, we've cut down (heh) on full-fledged cuts on TRS in favor of disambiguating and redirecting.

Possibly a silly question, but -
Given that folk seem happy with these proposed changes, does it now need a request on the locked page thread as well, to actually implement them? Or will that happen based on this thread?

Green link entry for TV Tropes Glossary?
- Green link: A working link to a disambiguation page. Disambiguation pages can't have links anywhere on the site except for archive pages and the Ambiguity Index so they are colored green so that they can be differentiated from blue links.

I think a glossary entry will suffice as green links don't have the same level of complexity that red ones do. Blue links don't have their own page and have a glossary entry so I think we can do the same for green links.
EDIT: On a related note, Administrivia.All Green Entry is an old redirect to Administrivia.All Blue Entry. Should we do something about that?

An all-green entry sounds like far too rare an offshoot of an all-blue entry. Surely doesn't warrant its own page.

I don't think a page should be made. I just think the redirect to Administrivia.All Blue Entry doesn't quite work anymore because green links are a thing now.
Edit: I forgot about night vision green links. Also, I think we can just cut the redirect.

Before the Characters spoiler policy thread
stalled, there was some discussion about expanding the spoiler statement on How to Create a Character Page.
This was intended to acknowledge that big, busy shared universe franchises (Star Wars, Marvel, DC etc.) tend to use unmarked spoilers for older works, and that the cut-off isn't always the latest work in a series.
(I believe the thread came out of an ATT where a troper wasn't sure how to get consensus on changing the spoiler tagging cut-off point for some of these pages)
