Deranged X-Mas Figure

It was an age of heroes. For decades, Superheroes protected the world, leading through example and standing for something other than themselves. With these new myths and icons opening the door, the world was able to put the past behind it and move on to greener pastures. What was once thought of as science fiction or fantasy became reality. Space travel was a fact of life. New races both native to Earth and from afar were popping out of the woodwork and establishing relations with humanity almost daily. All while their heroes continued to keep the peace. It was like paradise, and almost seemed too good to be true.

But perhaps it was. Ever since the world's greatest hero The Saint was murdered two years ago, the peace that he and the other heroes had helped to establish had been ripped off like a bandaid. Prohuman purists and radical nonhuman organizations had popped out of the woodwork, and while the fall of one such group a year ago had led to things dying down to a degree, they still remained. On top of that, without the Saint's example, the Superhero community has been steadily growing more extreme. Where once heroes had tried to stand for some higher ideal, many seem more concerned with simply stopping villains at any cost. Even if it means beating them to a pulp. While there currently haven't been that many cases of murder, it's only a matter of time before the bodies start piling up if something isn't done.

Still, life goes on. As does the Saint Foundation. The Foundation was created by the Saint to serve as a global organization of Superheroes, dedicated to giving as many heroes as possible a steady paycheck while turning them into an organized fighting force. Whether it be a natural disaster or the dread lord Gohmallamaku wrecking havok on our plane of existence, the Foundation always has a ready group of heroes to deal with anything that comes up. However, due to an incident involving an attempted summoning gone wrong, the Supercity branch of the Foundation is currently facing a dearth of members, and as such has started a recruitment drive. Anyone from any walk of life is eligible to join, whether they're an experienced hero or is just starting their professional career. The question is, will they simply do their job and call it day? Or will they try to stand for something more? Regardless, with everything that's been going on and with all that's yet to come, they're sure to have their work cut out for them.

Here's hoping they survive the experience.

Hi, everyone! In case you haven't guessed, this is a Superhero RP. The gist is that you're a brand new member of the Saint Foundation looking to make your mark on the world, though it won't be easy. The last few years haven't been kind to anyone with a cape, or anyone that isn't human. If you want to make it through unscathed, you'll have to deal with the current state of affairs almost as much as beating up whatever's in your way. As well as anyone who wants to take advantage of it.

Of course, the RP's open to heroes of all sorts. First you've got those who received their powers in some sort of accident or experiment. These are some of the most common types of heroes around. Next up you have those who were born with their powers. These can come with some sort of physical mutation such as Petting Zoo People, green skin, four arms, etc. Assuming they aren't another race altogether. The sky's the limit. Then there are those who rely on their tech for their powers. You might have someone who wears a suit of Powered Armor, or you could have someone who invented a belt that makes them shrink. Again, go nuts. And finally, there are those without any powers or major tech at all who manage to make up for it with sheer grit and gumption as well as lots and lots of training. (Think Batman.) With that out of the way...

CHARACTER CREATION SHEET
  1. Real Name:
  2. Superhero Name:
  3. Age:
  4. Appearance: A costume is prefered, though not a requirement.
  5. Personality:
  6. Powers: Self-explanatory. That said, try and keep your character from being too overpowered. Anyone with Superman level abilities is a no-no. This also includes time-travel abilities. Healing abilities are allowed, but can only be used after a fight for the sake of balance. Teleporting abilities are also frowned upon, though you can still have them. Just try and have some sort of limitation to keep them from being too OP.
  7. Gear: Also self-explanatory. This can include various equipment or whatnot that gives you your powers as well just any weapons or gadgets you have to assist you, like a Batarang or grappling hook. Both tech heroes and Badass Normals will want to make use of this.
  8. Backstory:
  9. Miscellaneous: Anything you can think of that doesn't fit into any of the other categories.

Let me know if there are any questions about the RP you have and I'll do my best to answer them. Here's the list of accepted players:

Here's the discussion thread. It's very recommended that you at least read the first few posts up to the Timeline if only to get an idea of what kind of world this RP takes place in. Right now it's a bit outdated, but most of it should still apply.

And here's the RP thread. Again, new Sign-ups are always welcome.

  • Real Name: Martin Snow

  • Superhero Name: Paragon

  • Age: 18

  • Appearance: Tall and lean with a mess of blonde hair atop his head. When not in his costume he can be found with a button up shirt tucked into brown slacks. An ugly burn scar covers most of his right cheek and lower jaw, while he managed to get almost immediate treatment the false skin used to cover the burns is quite obvious. His costume is a red and blue full body suit with a cape over his shoulders. Plastered across every inch of the costume are various charities made out in solid black as to be easily seen against the colors of his suit. He wears a blue domino mask and a earpiece and carries a first aid kit on his hip.

  • Personality: Kind and gentle despite his power Martin is the kind of guy who can get along with almost everyone. His forgiving nature and positive outlook can make him come across as naive to some, but despite that he continues to give all he can for the world at large. However he holds quite a bit of self doubt, constantly judging himself harshly on what could be done better rather then celebrating his victories.

  • Powers: The ability to enhance himself through heroic deeds, or more accurately the more heroic deeds that Paragon performs the stronger he becomes. Speed, strength, sight, hearing, and durability all increase to an order of magnitude by percentage. This caps out at 100%, where his abilities begin to strain against Martin's body and runs the risk of a great deal of internal trauma due to harnessing to much energy. After about a minute of use at this level his body will forcibly shut itself down and put him into a catatonic state until he can naturally heal himself. While theorized that he could reach beyond 100% by performing a large scale operation this has yet to be tested, as doing so would involve too much risk on those studying it and Martin's body. The exact nature of this ability is unknown, through seems to be linked to a higher force.

  • Gear: A first aid kit filled with various first response tools.

  • Backstory: Martin was a fairly typical kid during the age of supers, admiring the greats and watching various battles on the news as the heroes faced off against the seemingly unstoppable foes the universe threw at them. Even from that young age he decided that he wanted to be a hero and sought to emulate the best qualities of the people he looked up to. Throughout most of his childhood Martin could be found helping around the neighborhood with every little task that could be needed. If there was a cliche a hero might be found doing you could usually find him in the process of it. Helping old ladies across the street, mowing the lawns of neighbors, even going so far as to help get kittens out of trees with the gusto of a possessed person.

It is unknown exactly how his powers developed, whether it is a natural phenomenon or some strange form of esp allowing him to convert emotional energy into raw force. But the day they first activated was one that he will always remember. There was a fire and first responders were blocked due to a mass prison riot on the other side of the city. Driven by his desires he dived into the inferno and pulled out a number of those trapped inside. Each time he dove back in he seemed to come out faster, lifter heavier things, find those trapped. However during his rush he hit his limit and fell unconscious, his face landing on a superheated piece of metal. Thankfully he was then saved by a hero who had broken away from the battle to help local rescue operations.

Despite his injuries that day Martin has no other wish then to continue his dream of being a hero, however he had cooled a bit and likes to think he is a more rational person. That being said he repeat his actions again at the drop of a hat, so odds are that he hasn't.

After Saint's death Martin has found himself more driven then ever to try and make the world a better place, but at the moment doesn't believe the current organizations for future heroes are up to snuff, and wants to make a better future with a new generation of heroes.

  • $#%@#$%@#$$#$#%$@#%#$@%#$@%@$#%@#$%$#@%#

  • Real Name: Clay Cole
  • Superhero Name: Lone Star
  • Age: 19 probably
  • Appearance: A bit on the shorter side of things and appearing quite thin of body Clay wouldn't be much to look at if ones eyes were just passing over him. His outfits normally consist of a lot of clothing on the nicer side, button ups and the like, due to his mothers teaching that he should present himself as a respectable person. However that doesn't stop him from wearing his Stetson with the a symbol of a shooting star going through the clouds, a symbol of his group from before he came to the future. His hero outfit has him wearing a leather duster over a set of protective but easy to move in garments.

  • Personality: Clay considers himself an upstanding gentlemen who was raised with all of the right values. But he also has a sarcastic streak a mile wide and isn't afraid to speak bluntly on any subject. Outside of his usual bright personality he does tend to feel out of place and occasionally seems to space out if left to his own thoughts.

  • Powers: Third Eye- A gift given to him by his partner during the final battle that claimed Saint's life, allows him an almost 360 degrees of sight around himself, along with a few odds and ends he is still getting the hold of. Said third eye is actually a physical thing that it mostly kept 'under his hat' so to speak. Beyond that his razor sharp reaction time is to be feared.

  • Gear: A futuristic weapon of odd design, looking more like a bulky pistol then anything else. Along its side is a dial of various colors corresponding to the natural elements. When turned to the dial he can fire out a burst of said element, and at the same time the weapon covers him in a shield that negates effects of the element. The weapon has bonded to Clay, and will appear to him any time he wills it.

His second piece of gear is the silver belt around his waist, which is fused to his body. Its exact abilities are unknown as most of the electronics are advanced beyond understanding, and beyond that burned out from pulling him into the future. For the moment it can phase shift itself out of reality when it isn't needed, and project a force field of minimal strength to protect Clay from danger. The belt seems to be in the process of repairing itself though some unknown means, and may unlock new abilities the further it heals itself.

  • Backstory: Clay was born on the frontier during the days of gold mining and manifest destiny, raised in a small town by a loving mother. He never knew his father, who had apparently run out on his mom a few months after he was born. Despite that he lived as comfortable existence as one could hope for in those days. That simple life was ruined by a gang of black hearts known as the 'Night Riders' who killed everyone in his town when he was just a boy, leaving him alive to spread their legend.
He was saved from dying alone by the 'Bright Stars', a group of lawmen who road across the West, righting wrongs and settling scores for the folks who couldn't do so themselves. Clay showed an aptitude for the hard life and fell under the difficult tutelage of 'Shining Bill Manda', the greatest lawman in the states. He was instilled with a sense of justice and soon his skills had him dubbed the 'second fastest shot in the West'. He went on many adventures until one day he happened across an odd belt on an outlaw the group had brought down. He decided to try it on, more as a joke then anything else and found himself flung into the future.

Despite great confusion he managed to adapt well enough under the watchful eye of the governments 'Time Watch' program, who set him up with shots, a quick overview of history, and a choice of what he wanted to do next. Seeing as the only life he knew was one of cracking skulls and serving justice he decided it would be for the best to become a hero. The program fast tracked him into class one due to his past experience, but still keep a careful eye on him.

  • Miscellaneous: Despite being from the past Clay is not ignorant nor does he suffer from prejudice of any kind. The Bright Stars had more then a few people from different back grounds and gender. Through he is still distrustful of magic and those who use it due to the Night Riders use of it.

Be better, because what is the harm in trying?

  • Real Name: Mikael Freisch
  • Superhero Name: Memento
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance:
    • Human: A tall, blonde-haired young man, usually rugged and unshaven, with a penchant for furs. Scars cover his arms and chest. His demon-side has bled over even to his human half, so his eyes are now permanently red and his teeth somewhat sharp.
    • Demon: Eight feet of red-skinned muscles, with blackened claws for hands and talons for feet, great dark wings, twisted horns, and a long spiked tail. Dark fire seems to glow under his skin. His eyes are still crimson, but his sclera are black, and his teeth are like knives.
  • Personality: Mikael is calm, quiet, and polite. He generally doesn't raise his voice, but is stern when he needs to be. While he has a strong sense of justice and doesn't want to harm the innocent, he derives satisfaction from hunting and fighting, and will more than willingly fight anyone who challenges him. He's mostly put his parental issues behind him, but still takes time to warm up to people before trusting them. He has a wide anti-authority streak, and is entirely willing to kill for the greater good.
  • Powers:
    • Demon Form: Mikael is a half-demon, and inheirited hellish power from his father. Originally stuck as a demon, he has since learned to shift between forms at will, or shifting only parts of his body as needed. Even in human form, his demonic heritage grants him increased strength and toughness, amplified further in his demon form. His wings allow him to fly, his claws and teeth are sharp as knives, and his tail is prehensile.
    • Armory of Zamiel: Best described as 'weapon-control', Mikael can essentially summon and manipulate weapons. Currently he is able to summon rifles, pistols, various knives (both melee and throwing variants), various bows (crossbows/longbows/compound bows/etc), small explosives, black chains, and beartraps. Resonating with Mikael's demonic energy, all are more powerful than their mundane counterparts. He need not directly hold and fire them; his summoned weapons hover in the air behind him before firing. Additionally, any weapon Mikael wields, even if he didn't create it, will never run out of ammo.
    • Black Warp: Demons possess a form of teleportation. By charging energy, he can charge in a straight line to any point in his line-of-sight. Given a minute or so to charge, he can achieve true teleportation and even warp to his home dimension of the Abyss.
    • Empowerment: A side effect of his father's main ability. Infusing an object with his demonic energies, Mikael can improve it - knives become sharper, a bat would hit a baseball further, etc - but this can also cause unintended side effects. Altered by further training with his demonic abilities, it now proves most effective with weapons and armor - essentially, as long as it is intended for combat, Mikael can make it better.
    • Sex Change: After an accident with a genetic-alteration device, Mikael gained the ability to shift between male and female form at will - in both human and demon mode. His female form(s) are still recognizable, albeit slightly smaller and much more curvaceous and with longer hair. Offers no combat benefit, but Mikael does enjoy it.
  • Gear:
    • Hunter's Coat: Mikael's favorite fur coat, which he made himself. Empowered by his demonic energies, it now offers much more protection than one would expect, and repairs itself if damaged. It's fireproof, and can even block some hostile magics. Like Mikael himself, it's not effective against light-based or 'holy' weapons. Like Ellie's he can shift its form into any clothing he desires.
    • Locket: An old keepsake, containing a photo of Mikael's grandparents. It protects Mikael (or whoever wears it) from the elements, and also calms his mental state, allowing him to think rationally even in times of stress.
    • Daeva's Touch: A crossbow bolt given to him by a friend. It carries the aura of a Daeva, the pure energy of uncreation. Mikael can tap into the bolt's aura to apply this effect to any weapon he holds.
  • Backstory: The Freisch family of hunters lived in a small town by the woods for generation, never taking more than they needed from the land and selling furs and fresh meat to make a living. No one really bothered them, and they were always friendly, if solitary. But Mikael's father didn't understand them. He captured the huntress Amadea's heart yet only saw her as a momentary fling, running out before their child was born. Amadea Freisch raised her son with the help of her own father, Josef, but it still stung them. Even as Mikael grew up, they closed themselves off, slowly losing what friends they had, until their only connection to the outside world was their family shop. And then a particularly virulent winter flu claimed Amadea's life. That day, Mikael's powers awoke from his grief. His grandfather Josef believed it to be Amadea's last blessing, though Mikael knew better.
    • In time, Mikael learned his father's true identity: the Black Huntsman, Zamiel. A demon of the Abyss, who whisked Amadea away to join him. What's more, Amadea was not kidnapped or forced to join him against her will - no, she truly loved him. Faced with this revelation, Mikael found himself trying to bridge the gap between his mother, now a demon of the Abyss and one of Zamiel's wives, and his grandfather, a demon-hunter who cannot abandon a grudge.
    • Then, suddenly, his grandfather's liver gave out. Against his will, Zamiel transformed him into a demon as well. Though Josef opposed this at first, it came to be just what was needed to bridge the family gap. He learned as well of brewing chaos in the Abyss, with one of his father's wives plotting in the future to defect to Lord Baal. As the school year progressed, he grew to think of himself as a sort of leader, though he never thought he was cut out for it. But then the invasion came. With Saint dead, Mikael resolved to push himself to the limit and restore order, on both Earth and the Abyss.
  • Miscellaneous: N/A

  • Real Name: Ellie
  • Superhero Name: Dynami
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance:
    • Human: Still white-haired and red-eyed, and her skin is a grayish pale, though not blue like her demon form.
    • Demon: A white-haired, red-eyed demon girl, with a single unicorn-like horn in her forehead, covered in bluish-gray scales. Her hair falls down to her lower back.
  • Personality: Wild and uninhibited, Ellie is outgoing to the point of debauchery, but isn't mean-spirited about things. She follows her base desires, but has learned to take the feelings of others into account, and has a strong empathy and sense of other's emotions. She has a strong protective instinct for others, and sees herself as a 'mother' to her Squad.
  • Powers:
    • Demonic: Ellie is a demon of the Abyss. While she learned some shapeshifting along with her lover, unlike Mikael she prefers to remain in demon form most of the time. Even in human form, however, just as with Mikael, her demonic heritage grants her increased strength and toughness, amplified further in her true, demonic form. Like Mikael, she possesses wings for flight, and claws and fangs as natural weapons, as well as a single, sharp horn.
    • Thunderstruck: Ellie possesses power over electricity, able to shoot lightning bolts, shock anyone who touches her, and even short-circuit machines or charge batteries. Her horn is also a lightning rod. Naturally, she's resistant to electricity-based attacks.
    • Electromagnet: Electricity causes magnetism. Ellie has been practicing, and while her magnetic abilities are not very precise, she makes up for it with raw power. She can fire coins like bullets from a railgun, lift metallic objects with a thought, or disable most unprotected electronics.
    • Electric Slide: Demons possess a form of teleportation. By charging energy, she can charge in a straight line to any point in her line-of-sight. Given a minute or so to charge, she can achieve true teleportation and even warp to her home dimension of the Abyss. Her charging is even faster than Mikael's, given her ability to become lightning.
    • Ride the Lightning: Further training with her movement abilities has allowed her to even travel through the air or through existing power lines in the form of pure electricity, though she moves so fast in this state that she can't properly turn or aim. She can also 'ride' power lines like a skateboard, even in her normal state.
  • Gear:
    • Devil's Cloak: As a gift, Mikael made her a cloak similar to his own fur coat, self-repairing and protective. It channels her electricity as well. Like Mikael's coat, it's not effective against light-based or 'holy' weapons. Ellie's cloak additionally can change shape into other kinds of human clothing - a compromise between her usual nakedness and having to constantly get dressed and undressed in the way humans would.
    • Wired: Ellie has taken to carrying around coils of copper wire in the form of bracelets, which she manipulates with electromagnetism. She primarily uses them to connect directly to opponents and taze them, though they also make decent tripwires or bindings in a pinch. Thanks to Mikael, she can even change their appearance to be more fashionable.
  • Backstory:
    • Ellie, like most demons, was born and raised in the Abyss. For a while, she was content to just do what most Abyssal Demons did for a living; slaughter people for fun, backstab as many people as possible for power and control, and when they were really in a good mood, have sex.
    • However, there were some demons who wanted to break free of the ways of the past. Who didn't want to be seen as just shameless hedonists and amoral monsters. Of course, being of the Abyss meant that even the best demon still wasn't exactly a shining bastion of morality, but they still tried. And upon getting wind of this, Ellie thought that perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea. She only did what she did because that's how things were done. But what if there were another way? What if the way she did things was wrong? What if there was a way to live that didn't involve stepping on as many puppies as possible? And she decided that she wanted that life. When she did, she moved to our world, intent on becoming a hero and showing everyone that not all demons were monsters. And SA was the best place for her to learn how to do just that.
    • As a natural-born demon, she never quite acclimated to living on Earth. Then she bumped into Mikael during a school festival. Mikael, who had recently learned of his heritage and was going through some serious stuff, wound up hitting it off with her, and found comfort in her embrace. In turn, she began to learn about humanity through him. Somehow she wound up transferred to Class 1, and the rest is history.
    • She picked up the ability to take human form by studying with him, as Mikael had insisted it would be a good learning experience. She's still used to being in her demon form, but after being 'human' for a while she sort of sees why Mikael likes it. As a result, she's more accustomed to wearing clothing. She's still learning about humanity, and along the way teaching Mikael about his origins.
    • Ellie had hidden her difficulties with her parents. However, they proved to not be of concern - they had wanted her to marry someone important, and a son of Zamiel was apparently enough for them. Still, Ellie grew more convinced that the Abyss needed changing. Especially once they returned from the future, where they learned that Lucifer would, in time, attempt to take over the world for himself. Though that future will never happen, with the Saint fallen, Ellie considers it a risk. Thus, over the summer, she and Mikael trained tirelessly to grow stronger. One day, she vows, the Abyss will no longer be the hell it is now.

  • Real Name: Nariko "Nari" Hattori
  • Superhero Name: Shadow-Tail
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance:
    • Civilian: A rat-woman with whitish-gray fur and red eyes. Long-legged, and lithe. Her legs end in large, clawed, pink feet, and her hands, nose and tail are pink as well. Her tail is long and cordlike. Her hair is thick, curly, the same color as her fur, and she keeps it cut short.
    • Hero: Her hero outfit is dark blue, almost black, meant to invoke a 'ninja' aethestic. She wears long pants, and a sports bra under a mesh shirt. She wears light armor panels over her shins and arms, armored bands on her tail, and she wears a mask that covers her snout from the eyes down.
  • Personality: Calm and collected, Nari is not a person of intense emotion. She takes pride in her physical prowess and enjoys acrobatics, yoga and fighting, though she's not prone to violence. She's sharply focused and not easily deceived, a trained warrior at heart. When not physically engaged, she's laid back, and can at times even show a dry wit. She is willing to oppose corrupt authority, and to kill if it proves absolutely necessary, though she tries to avoid doing so.
  • Powers:
    • Nezumi: Being beastfolk, Nari is naturally slightly superhuman. Stronger and tougher than a grown man, able to leap great distances, and outrun most normal humans even without her powers. As a rat specifically, she has enhanced smell, night vision, a minor vibration-sense via her whiskers, and can walk on walls and ceilings as easily as the ground. Her tail acts like a third, longer arm, albeit lacking some dexterity due to having no fingers. Finally, she has a bite many times stronger than a humans, able to gnaw through steel within seconds.
    • In One Breath: Nari's unique power is greatly superhuman agility. She can move so quickly she appears to teleport, and can leave afterimages behind from sheer speed.
    • Martial Prowess: Nari is an expert in the 'Art of Five Limbs', a martial art developed by her clan, utilizing hands, feet, and tail for sharp, precise strikes. She's skilled at martial arts and physical combat in general, and also in the use of various melee weapons and throwing knives.
  • Gear:
    • Five Points: Five bracelet-like rings which contain retractable blades. She wears one on each wrist, one on each ankle, and one on the end of her tail.
    • Bottomless Kunai Pouch: A small pouch on her belt, supposedly created with her clan's secret arts, containing an effectively endless number of throwing knives and shuriken. Magically self-refilling, though it takes a few seconds to make another weapon. Though designed for throwing, in a pinch they can be used as melee weapons. Knives made by the pouch will vanish after a few minutes.
    • Armor Plates: Armored bracers surround her forearms, and flexible armor plates also protect her shins and calves. Additional plating covers part of her tail near the tip. Situated below her hidden blades, she utilizes the armor to deflect attacks.
  • Backstory:
    • The Nezumi clan of ninja traces its lineage back to feudal Japan, where they were supposedly allied to the Iga ninja clan serving the legendary Hattori Hanzo and Tokugawa Ieyasu. However, they turned against Tokugawa near the end of the Warring States period, siding instead with another Lord, Ishida Mitsunari. This proved disastrous, and Mitsunari's province was crushed by Tokugawa. The Nezumi clan dispersed, some hiding across Japan while others fled to different countries, including to the West. In secret, they passed down their ninja arts from parent to child. Nariko's great-grandfather moved to America in the 1920s, and while some of the more mystical abilities of the clan had been lost to him, he ensured his descendents would keep a healthy appreciation for martial arts. Nariko herself was trained to fight from a young age, both by her parents, and by relatives from Japan whom she would visit every summer.
    • Nari's grandmother was the first to notice the girl's unique talent. A swiftness that none of their family could match, even the most skilled adults. She insisted it was a blessing from the wind god Fujin, though given the number of superhumans running around, Nari's parents assumed it was some kind of mutation. Regardless of its origin, Nariko realized that she could do more than anyone else in her family for the common good, and dedicated herself to becoming a hero.

  • Real Name: Zachariah Hirshbaum
  • Superhero Name: The Canvas
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: "Zach" is a lanky young man with short black hair with a white streak going across the right side of his head, giving him a skunk stripe. His eyes are dark brown with bags under them, and notably pale skin. Under his shirt and clothing are incredibly twisting, turning and complex ink patterns similar to tattoos etched into his body. His clothing is almost always basic, a hoodie and a pair of jeans, with enough to cover as much of the ink as he can, sans the amount that's currently edging up his neck.
  • Personality: Zach is, or rather was, an excitable young man. He was always talkative and optimistic, and tried to be as friendly and outgoing as he could be. And then...well, the event happened and that kinda took a turn for the worst. Now a days he's a lot quieter but still as friendly, but he is more of a shell of what he used to be...not to say he's bad, but being unable to talk still sucks.
  • Powers:
    • Ink Manipulation: Being made of ink, Zach now allows him to control the use of his body as malleable and manipulative as possible.
    • Shapeshifting: Being able to control the pigmentation fo his body, Zach can now control his appearance to anything, and anyone, he can think of.
    • Incredible Durability: Being made of Ink means that Zach is incredibly durable and incredibly hard to kill, let alone hurt. H Owever, water still proves to be a problem...
  • Gear: None, aside from his ink.
  • Backstory: Zach came from an incredibly bad family, with his father the worst of them all. Drunk, verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive, he seemed to make it his mission to break Zach as much as he could. Well, thankfully to Zach's shining optimism and his refusal to be anything like his father, he didn't break. No, his father decided to try and do something even worse. Through various, well, awful, terrible things he would eventually try to learn, his father took up the dark arts and occultism. One thing led to another, as they often do, and one day Zach found himself strapped to a table with his father chanting in hideous tongues as he drew horrible, twisting tattoos on his body. The intended result? To inflict awful burns on his son, to remind him of the grim reality of the world. The actual result? Zach lost his ability to speak, and in a fit of panic, "Killed" his father with the very ink intended to harm him. (At least, he assumes he killed him, there was a lot of blood and no sign of the body...he hoped). So, branded, and marked for the remainder of his life, Zach still took it upon himself to never lose the optimism that his mother always tried to instill in him.
    • Arriving in Saint Academy, several things changed, the most glaring being he met Yoko, his girlfriend/wife/immortality buddy and through her help, tamed the demon inside of him and turned him into a proper human/ink hybrid. As a result, he now no longer needs to concern himself with the impending death and, instead, only needs to worry about being a good hero, a good husband, and a good father. God help him.
    • However, sheer determination was rarely ever a factor in how to be a person, and it was very evident in his first year of University that the damage to his mind was far too prevalent, and considered himself unfit for duty. As a result, he dropped out to focus on a more important fact: Being a good husband, and a good father to his children. However, with life having an incredibly wicked sense of humor, Zach may end up forced into a life he put behind him to save a future ahead of him...

  • Real Name: Mason Bridges
  • Superhero Name: Masked Hero Omega Genesis
  • Age: 22
  • Appearance: Mason, more or less, looks like this handsome SOB. Though, it's mostly the lab coat he wears most consistently, he enjoys wearing typical street clothes under it. As Masked Rider Genesis, his suit changes depending on the form he's currently using, thematically.
  • Personality: A few words to properly describe Mason is excitable, hyper and passionate. Mason grew up refusing to believe in shame for the things you believed in, worked on, and fought for. His bracer is his prized achievement, and it's something he boasts about constantly when given the opportunity. However, he's still a nice guy, and believes in justice and helping those who can't help themselves. He also likes to think of ways of "improving" devices and designs...even when they don't work out the way they should. That time with the toaster oven still haunts him to this day...but his inventions will make the world a better place! You'll see!
  • Powers: Mason, without his bracer, is nothing more than a simple person. That being said, IN the suit, his strength and speed is increased, but not to insane amounts. Depending on the Digichip currently being used in the bracer, he also has a slew of options:
    • Water Omega Chip (Undyne Mode): Mason's Confusion Fu mode, this is a slippery, difficult form to keep up with, as it can manipulate the water around it to disorient and confuse his foes. Based on a Mermaid in theme.
    • Fire Omega Chip (Suzaku Mode): Mason's Jack of All Stats mode, Suzaku mode allows him to have a nice combination of speed and offense but nothing really "wow" or spectacular. It allows him to shoot fire and attack with fire, which is neat! Thematically based on a phoenix.
    • Air Omega Chip (Garuda Mode): Mason's Fragile Speedster mode, this allows him to move as quickly as he needs in addition to bursts of flight. Thematically, it's green and looks similar to a bird in design.
    • Earth Omega Chip (Gigas Mode): Mason's Fragile Glacier and one of his strongest physical forms, this one increases his physical strength and defenses to near ludacris levels. However, he's obnoxiously slow, and the moderate control of earth he has makes it incredibly risky. Based on a gorilla, as Gigas is hard to base things on.
  • Gear: The Genesis Breaker is one of Mason's own creation through his blood, sweat and tears. An arm length piece of metal that connects to his wrist, it allows him to tap into the Elemental Planes through the chips he inserts into it, fitting his body with new armor for battling the forces of evil!
  • Backstory: For as long as he could remember, Mason was fascinated by the concept of SCIENCE! Probably not at all helped that his family were deep into the concepts of science as well. His mom more than any of them, often lost in her own world she found herself flying solo for quite some time. However, as expected as it was, her experiments would be the death of her, quite literally. She left no legacy and her name was ultimately forgotten in the scientific community, a fate that Mason deemed nothing short of horrific. All that time, all that effort, was gone simply because she couldn't make a name for herself. Mason maintained that if she died doing what she loved, then there was no point in being upset about it; it was her drive, her dream, her ambition and he wanted to maintain that through her wishes. So, with his drive set, he created the Genes-Driver and made a goal: to ensure that his name would be at least passed down and remember through the ages, no matter the stakes! So says Masked Fighter Genesis!
    • His first year of the Superhero University brought him several things, including friends, family, and a new set of powers at the cost of one of his arms. As a result, not one to fester in the realm of despair, he set upon making a new Driver and a new set of powers, one to make his own: SO says the newly risen hero, Masked Rider Omega Genesis!
  • Miscellaneous: Gains incredibly random bursts of "Inspiration" at the strangest times, which results in him writing it down...regardless of the current situation he's in. In addition, when he works, he listens to a fair amount of "Queen".

  • Real Name: Octavius Klint.
  • Superhero Name: Dreadnaut
  • Age: Appearance wise? He's about mid-20's. Actual age? Well into the 300's.
  • Appearance: More or less this! Just with...a bit more shirt.
  • Personality: Prideful, arrogant, rude and mildly unpleasant to be around, Dreadnaut is cocky and brash and is eager to show it however he can. However, given his age and his time on this realm, he can back up these claims quite a bit. However, he is good for a fun time if you get on his good side and is a bit of a hedonist, but deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deeeeeeeeeep down, he's a good man with a good heart, he's just better at hiding it.
  • Powers: Being a creature of the undead variety, Dreadnaut is not a Ghost Pirate in the traditional sense. The "ghost" aspect of him is, well, his ship. Tied to it by his soul (Long story), Dreadnaut can create "Ghost cannons" that blast bouts of ectoplasmic...stuff (He never figured out the proper term for it, but he does know they hit like a truck, hurt like hell and make nice little explosions!), but has a limited amount of shots per day, depending on what his Patron deems necessary. In addition, he can call upon the ship to ride it, allowing him flight and what have you, but only if he can concentrate on it.
  • Gear: His two prized possessions, his Cutlass and his Flintlock, the latter of which never seems to run out of ammo (you can thank his patron for that little bonus).
  • Backstory: Octavius Klint was once a rough, cruel, and wicked pirate on the waters back in the golden age of pirates. He and his crew brought upon untold destruction and chaos, plundering, pillaging, all that good stuff! However, like all things in life, you tend to get overconfident and cocky about things you shouldn't. Namely, a rival crew who is bigger, badder and more ruthless than yours. Thrown to the sharks, Octavius prepared to meet the devil and play a mean game of cards with him, when...SOMETHING appeared before him and made him an offer he almost literally couldn't refuse: He'd been watching him for some time and thought he looked like fun, and wanted that fun to continue in the form of a game. He was arrogant, cocky, snide, but could he truly back it up? His quest: Find a treasure worthy of the Patron, something even an Eldritch Abomination would be amazed by, and he'd be permitted eternal life. THAT...or commit three hundred good deeds (Knowing that his personality was so vehemently awful, that one was a given to not work). However, if he couldn't within the time frame? Well, his soul belonged to him, and the real fun would begin. Naturally, Octavius took him up on his offer and spent a good chunk of his new semi-immortal life...being a fucking hedonist. Well, now that he realizes that he's running out of time, Octavius now has to look for an amazing treasure he can offer...no matter the cost.
  • Miscellaneous: He likes Ale, a lot, and often "fights better while drunk".

  • Real Name: Lily Aquatos
  • Superhero Name: Vortex
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance: A lithe, athletically built young woman of about 5'6" in height. Olive skin, bright blue eyes, and dark blue hair—recessive traits from her Aquatos lineage. Disciplined, reserved demeanour, somewhat edged with a sense of suppressed awkwardness and shyness—though quick to become determined and cold at a moment's notice. Otherwise wears her heart on her sleeve. Wears typically loose casual clothing, but also has the proper combat garb of her family which resembles a light yet sturdy fighting gi.
  • Personality: A typically reserved, quiet type who disguises her naturally anxious tendencies by layering it with her learned years of propriety and discipline. While softspoken and caring of her friends, Lily possesses a darker, angrier side to herself that has only been worsened by the traumatic events she has faced at Saint University before. Though on the road to recovery from the brunt of her trauma, Lily cannot help but feel more cynical and troubled than she did before—manifesting primarily as a newfound lack of hesitance when in battle as well as a twinge of ruthlessness exclusive to those who manage to set off her memories of her previous experiences. Having matured somewhat since she first arrived, Lily is still plagued by a feeling of general uselessness and lack of direction, but with her new 'family' in the form of her Squad she has found she has all the support she could ever want. Now determined to follow in her father's footsteps as well as to become a hero in her own right, Lily hopes she can channel her inner frustrations into a weapon against the less merciful.
  • Powers: As an Aquatos, Lily possesses the ability to shape and control water either in massive amounts or down to the point of individual molecules; allowing her to form many constructs and mechanisms using the latent moisture held naturally within the air (as well as any other source she can find in her general area). Instead of focusing on large techniques, Lily primarily concentrates on precision—utilizing her family's martial arts styles into a personal mix best for her own approach to combat. Some particular techniques she uses are as follows:
    • Point Needles: Also known as Palm Spikes, these are barely perceivable needles constructed from water and crystallized into the centre of her palm. Using these, she can target individual pressure points on a person's body one after the other, either causing a numbing effect that can temporarily disable the surrounding functionality (such as an arm or leg) or simply inflicting excruciating pain on her opponent. This technique uses a rapid and unpredictable style, aiming to overwhelm its user's targets with a flurry of precise and painful attacks.
    • Riptide: A technique that has two uses. By coating the soles of her feet in a thin layer of water, Lily can effectively skate around at a higher speed than she would be able to reach normally, using flowing movements and advanced acrobatics to both put on quite the display as well as distract her opponent. She almost exclusively uses broad kicks and their varieties to attack—to the point where the designated stance is to hold one's hands behind their back. This technique is more slow and predictable in style than the Point Needles, but it hits much harder and is much more refined in comparison.
    • Vortex: Her namesake and her own created move. By focusing large amounts of water into single points in her hands and causing it to swirl rapidly into itself, Lily can create purposefully unstable water baubles that grind their way into whatever is hit by them before erupting with a burst. Definitely the most hard-hitting of her attacks, Lily's vortexes however cannot be thrown or tossed and must be used at close-range—making them the slowest and most predictable of her techniques to pull off. Still, she is refining them, and she is beginning to work on a way to incorporate them into her already present Riptide technique.
    • Reflection: A quick fire clone replacement technique that Lily can manifest under just the right circumstances. If the surrounding area already contains a potent measure of water (preferably humid or damp patches of air), Lily can quickly form and switch places with a water-based duplicate of her body—albeit it at the cost of destroying it. However, this does not prevent any injuries from occurring—if she is hit during or immediately before the switch her wounds will carry over anyway.
    • Refraction: A simple optical illusion that Lily can perform by subtly manipulating the water molecules in her immediate vicinity. To the point of view of the person she is attempting to distract/confuse, her image becomes kaleidoscopic and fractured in a manner akin to shattered glass. This is particularly useful against tougher opponents, as it gives her an opportunity to attack while they're distracted by the display.
  • Backstory: A member of the long lineage of the ancient Aquatos clan, Lily was born in the Greek home compound to the previous heir of the main lineage; Leon Aquatos. With high expectations placed upon her to her similar status as heiress, Lily was trained from a very young age in the arts of dance and combat (two things considered intertwined according to the family's traditions) and encouraged to become as strong and infallible as her father. However, her emotional and social skills became stunted as a result, and her building frustration due to her inability to do what she wished began to take its toll on her psyche. Sensing her growing instability and suppressed rage at her enclosed lifestyle, Lily's father sent her off to Saint University under the pretense of punishment—hoping the different environment would either give her the satisfaction she craved or make her yearn for her older way of living. With the former proving true and with Lily now beginning to pick up the pieces of her life with the help and encouragement of her new friends, Leon has officially given her his approval and well wishes for her latest ventures—all the while privately kicking himself for not considering this type of exposure for his clan in the first place.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Has an interest in gardening and nature, and enjoys the practice of dancing and practicing her techniques at lakes, waterfalls or other large bodies of water.
    • Dislikes seafood. Ironically.
    • Notable habit of clearing her throat noisily and cradling her neck can surface while she's under extreme stress. This is a holdover of her previous trauma; having manifested an irrational fear of decapitation.

  • Real Name: ACP-013note
  • Superhero Name: Holiday
  • Age: 20 (Manufactured in 2017)
  • Appearance: 5'10." Slim build, meant to emulate the body type of a track runner. Subtle seams in her skin where her panels connect visible if one looks close enough. Designed in such a way so as to not induce feelings of discomfort in other people—features purposefully made both incredibly detailed yet imperfect so as to lessen the uncanny valley effect. Still, her aforementioned skin seams and her overall demeanour clearly indicate she is artificial in nature.
  • Personality: A previously blank slate has become a cheerful, somewhat cheeky persona bursting to the seams with teasing and sarcasm towards the people she loves. While still figuring out some of the more intricate emotions, Holiday has rapidly become more of a person than even her fellow non-prototypical ACPs—which are designed to emulate human responses despite not having particularly intricate programming. While still rational and prone to robotic speech patterns on occasion, Holiday shows an increased sense of empathy and care for her comrades that occasionally borderlines on motherly doting—down to even scolding them if they put themselves in perilous circumstances even as she works to get them out of said perilous circumstances. Though prone to some clever thinking, Holiday has a clear habit of acting before any actual plan is made—going by the mindset that she can at least provide a decent time killer until her comrades have figured out what to do. Good at heart despite her mischievous tendencies, Holiday yearns for the opportunity to work as a professional hero and help people without restriction.
  • Powers:
    • ACP Physiology: Running on a self-sustaining power generator in the centre of her abdomen, Holiday's external skin layer contains a powerful internal shell lined with robotic muscles and bulletproof plating, along with a variety of storage compartments that she can directly access via designated flaps in her outer layers (hence the seams in her skin). Holiday can manipulate every single one of these flaps independently as well as pneumatically eject their individual contents—which can include a variety of tools and equipment such as jaws of life, fireproof blankets, police tape dispensers, first aid kits, and protective earmuffs. Holiday also has the ability to mimic a pain response when needed, however this is off by default and she lacks any actual reaction to injury.
  • Gear:
    • Nonlethal Weaponry: Housed in her arm flaps and lower abdomen are a variety of tasers, smoke and teargas grenades, sedatives and rubber bullets for use in combating low-threat enemies or subduing unruly or fleeing civilians. She also possesses handcuffs, zipties and cables for cases where she has to restrain a target, and her scanners allow her to ascertain any potential weaknesses in them in case she accidentally uses excessive force in taking them down. Holiday has free access to these gadgets and is programmed to use them especially for self-defense—for instance, her tasers automatically line her body with a protective charge to shock attackers who try to grab her even while they're retracted.
    • Lethal Weaponry: For when the situation gets dire, and careful subjugation is no longer an option. After receiving permission from either a closely trusted ally, three registered acquaintances, or a respected officer of the law, Holiday can be allowed access to weapons of more stopping power when compared to her usual loadout. In her advanced combat mode, Holiday uses a pair of wrist mounted machine guns of a fairly low ammo count (her storage is typically too full up with items for more passive usages), frag grenades, flashbangs, extendable blades for close-quarters combat, and a self-destruct function inbuilt within her core for when there's no other option. If a sufficient amount of civilians are endangered and she cannot get permission immediately, Holiday may have to request relinquishment of her nonlethal parameters directly from her creator—however, if he denies it she'll be completely helpless to use them. This combat mode also tends to pour more power into her muscles to reach levels more comparable to that of a typical superhuman, albeit at the cost of draining her power faster than it can recharge.
    • Tom: A spiderlike drone Holiday can deploy from her chest. While lacking artificial intelligence, the drone is directly controlled by her and even then has some basic pathfinding technology—programmed to automatically try and return to her if the signal is somehow disrupted. Tom contains a low battery life and a poor local range but has the advantage of being small and versatile; outfitted with a small shock prong between its mandibles and able to climb on almost any smooth surface using the suckers on its feet. Tom's charging port is directly connected to Holiday's main power generator, but the amount of wattage he needs is relatively miniscule when compared to his mistress. As such, Tom is sometimes seen plugged into a wall socket instead—which thankfully relieves Holiday of his added weight.
    • Adam: Holiday's second drone, and one more recognizable as such. A quad-copter by design, Adam differs from Tom in that it has some degree of independence; able to judge situations based on threat level to itself and accurately map out an area impossible for more procedural methods to do. Though not carrying proper artificial intelligence still, Holiday is just as fond as this as her spider drone—though strangely she still seems to favour the latter when pressed. Adam is stored upon her back, able to unfurl when needed and sharing charging stations with Tom. Adam also possesses the ability to fire darts of differing types (usually electrified) in order to incapacitate unsuspecting targets.
    • Conculium Thrusters: A last resort, highly experimental gadget used in situations when Holiday needs to take to the air. Extending out from the sides of her ankles as well as her shoulders (along with larger variants in the front and back centre of her torso), these propelling mechanisms have the capability of launching Holiday's entire weight at speeds too fast for the human eye to comprehend. While lacking the ability to hover using these, Holiday is capable of shredding her way through large swarths of opponents and weave her way around obstacles using her computerized pathfinding system. These thrusters directly destabilize her power source and can quickly drain her of energy if used, hence they remain dormant until she absolutely needs them.
  • Backstory: The story of the ACPs began not with Holiday, but with one named Ophelia; designated ACP-001 and the effective precursor of her later siblings. Designed by the electrokinetic genius Alex Selby and his best friend Kaylee Thomas, the initial intention of this prototype robot was to be a personal carer and assistant to Selby's sick mother, which quickly evolved into a project of a much grander scale after the two friends entered into hero work. With the first ACP proving to be a success (albeit after a rocky start), the second ACP ("Hamlet") was constructed, and from then on production began. Selby's limited resources and his own attachment to his creations (he tends to spend a lot of time fine-tuning them so their personalities are distinct) means he has only created a total of 13 units since his first prototype, with Holiday being the most recent. Deciding to take a different approach with her after experimenting with a more adaptive AI system, Alex has assigned Holiday to try and fit in with human society and forge her own personality without external interference—while obviously keeping tabs on her from afar and making sure she doesn't stray off-course from her primary directive. With Holiday joining Saint University and developing her mind at speeds unprecedented, the gynoid has quickly set herself the goal of helping others regardless of her similarly inclined programming telling her to do that anyway. Now ready to take on the city, Holiday cannot wait to do everything she can for each and every individual citizen she can find—whether it be as minor as babysitting or as major as surgery.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Enjoys physical activity; often seen jogging or practicing a variety of sports when the opportunity arises. Claims it to be more for the purposes of fun than an effort to get fit (not that she'd be capable of that anyway).
    • Originally ACPs were all named after Shakespearian characters, but after the construction of Cordelia (ACP-008) this practice was stopped. However, most ACPs are still given unique names to help differentiate them.
    • Holiday is the first ACP to not be constantly monitored by her creators, and by extension is not programmed to behave exclusively under their orders. Technically, this makes her capable of refusing their commands in favour of another's—an unintended practice first seen all the way back in the prototypical Ophelia.

  • Real Name: Tyulla
  • Superhero Name: None. At least, not yet. Tyulla was originally titled "The Rampant Primordial" but her recent change in attitude has rendered this description obsolete. She is still trying to figure out a codename even now.
  • Age: At least several millennia. Claims to have been born at the beginning of all things, but her low mental faculties at the time of her birth and her own hazy memory could mean this may be an inaccurate statement. Plus her overall attitude doesn't exactly evoke wisdom.
  • Appearance: A 5'7", nougat coloured blob girl. Specifically constructed from a primeval slime, she is able to warp and stretch her form at will but most usually settles on the general appearance of a young woman for simplicity's sake. Even so, she is obviously not human—as stated before she is of an alien colouration and lacks any form of hair or fur, instead having chin-length fleshy tendrils that sprout from her head and keep themselves constantly folded over her right eye in an apparent mimicry of Peek A Bangs. Lacks any visible nose (though has microscopic "nostrils" scattered across her entire face in place of pores), and her ears bear more resemblance to protruding holes than anything complex. Eyes have black sclera and blank white irises. Has a purplish tongue and something resembling teeth when she speaks, but these are temporary and purely for vocalisation purposes. Typically wears loose, casual clothing such as sweatpants or dress shirts (usually accompanied by a pair of entirely useless but admittedly fashionable reading glasses). When she's taking a fight seriously, she sheds whatever she's wearing in favour of a sleek set of battle armour (mentioned in more detail below).
  • Personality: An incredibly blunt, serious sort with a suppressed lust for destruction and fighting laced with a less suppressed adoration for sweets and confectioneries. Tyulla tends to overinflate herself in her head under the presumption that she is able to get away with whatever she wants, and as such tends to show an immature and occasionally flat out arrogant attitude towards those she perceives as putting themselves above her. Despite this, she has a relatively tactical mind and a strong sense of rationality—she'll rarely bother herself with a villain's presented moral conundrum if she can just blow him up before he even has a chance to speak. This naturally leads into her poor distinction of good and evil and as such tends to speak or act in ways considered inappropriate or rude by her peers; her lack of social skills being something she is struggling to rectify each and every day. The fact that she hasn't really interacted with other sentient lifeforms barring perhaps a bit of playful banter before killing them is evident by how she regularly misreads the atmosphere, not recognizing the concept of selflessness and tending to resort to threats of violence if she gets the wrong vibe off a person. Thankfully, her time with Mason has mellowed and matured her somewhat, and though these former traits are still present she manages to keep herself mostly under control as a much more neutral (though snarky) figure in people's lives.
  • Powers:
    • Flight: Tyulla's state as a sentient mass of primordial goop means she has direct control over her positioning in space just as much (if not more so) than her physical shape and consistency. This means that she is able to levitate herself with a mere thought and move in all three dimensions seamlessly—effectively puppeteering herself using a form of self-directed telekinesis. She is able to increase her flight speed by using her energy projection as a thruster mechanism, and is capable of carrying up to two people at a time without losing altitude thanks to her enhanced strength.
    • Superhuman Physiology: Tyulla possesses an enhanced strength and speed enough to punch through walls and kick grown men across the street into a conveniently placed corner café, but in comparison her durability is relatively lacking. She lacks a skeletal structure but possesses a form of blood—a purplish substance with the consistency of melted toffee tainted by the dark energy her body constantly produces. Tyulla is able to be injured to a degree equivalent to that of a normal human despite her lack of internal organs, and as such has to rely on her flashy displays of power to properly protect herself against the god-like threats she usually ends up chasing. Thankfully for her distinct lack of natural healing ability, Tyulla is able to regain lost mass via the regular consumption of sugary foods—which is somewhat befitting of her nougat-coloured nature.
    • Energy Projection: One of the first things Tyulla did upon gaining awareness was slowly consume a fellow primordial being constructed entirely of dark energy and matter; therefore assimilating its abilities into her own (a sub-power that seems to have dwindled away into obscurity by now). As such, she possesses the ability to generate and utilize a truly colossal amount of potential energy for combat purposes—albeit lessened from her glory days, as having a planetbuster as a roommate is something nobody would ideally want. Tyulla has to "charge up" before every battle in order to draw out this latent energy (as well as lessen the strain projecting it takes on her form), but even so there's a certain limit to what she can take before needing to slip into a state of recovery. Specific manifestations of her energy are as follows:
      • Manic Cannon: A powerful beam attack that is generated from the palms. Tyulla cups her hands together, moves them in a swirling motion to let her energy coagulate into a ball between them, and then thrusts it forward—releasing a directional wave of energy powerful enough to carve through several thick walls before dissipating. It has a relatively long charge up time, and thus can be interrupted if she doesn't time it correctly.
      • Catch for Chumps: A tightly packed ball of dark energy that spins at a high speed to grind away at her target's body. Formed in one hand, it is much quicker to fire off than her Manic Cannon and thus is more versatile in its usage—although her nigh-uncontrollable habit of yelling “Catch!” before she throws can make it easy to avoid if one is quick enough. It has electrical properties, but it is highly unstable—any sufficiently solid surface hit by it would most certainly cause it to collapse without it doing any significant damage.
      • Nail Guns: Not related at all. No sirree. As the name suggests, these are very thin but highly focused beams of dark energy formed quickly from the beds of Tyulla's nails, and are able to be fired off consecutively for rapid attacks or aimed carefully for more precision targeting. As one would expect, she is able to fire off ten at a time using both hands, but she is unable to keep it up for long due to the fact that it tends to burn her fingers. If she is feeling particularly cheeky, she is also able to fire them from her toenails.
      • Cluster BAMF: In which she fires a cluster of BAMFs. In layman's terms, this is a burst-fire attack that launches a mass of homing energy missiles; doing little damage but tending to obscure her target's vision with smoke. The electrical properties of her projected energy also mean that they may interfere with similarly electronic devices they hit as well (the clouds they produce also tend to be charged to a degree as well). Tyulla may fire multiple of these at a time, but they are very situational—and in some cases tend to announce her presence more than disguise it.
      • Have a Thing: In which she launches a thing. Said ‘thing’ is actually a rapidly spinning discus formed from flattened dark matter. Sometimes used as a close-range attack; to which she shapes it to be more like a chakram with an appropriate handle cutting through the centre. Can be split off into two thinner blades as per her want. Unfortunately lacks the electrical discharge her other attacks tend to have, but they're useful in their own right.
      • Kindly Die DIE #$&%ING DIE: For when she's mildly ticked. Tyulla builds up a Manic Cannon as per usual, but charges it for approximately thrice as long as usual before slamming it into one single sphere and pumping all her built-up energy into one colossal attack. Manifests as a triple-sized wave than the regular with extra pepperoni and olives. And death. Much, much more death. Travels further, but dissipates much quicker than its weaker counterpart. Can only be fired off thrice per battle.
      • STOP MOVING: Tyulla rends a spherical area with rapid energy slashes from every feasible part of her body. Tremendous orbital range and speed, but low potency and small radius. Used to stagger her opponents when they're being just that smidgen too annoying. Fairly heavy on her energy reserves, tending to leave her short of breath immediately afterwards. Expect it to be accompanied by an almighty Death Glare. Can only be used twice in any given battle.
      • ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH: For when she is enraged beyond all comprehension. Usually accompanied by vicious swearing, animalistic hissing, or hysterical cackling (sometimes all three at once, somehow) Tyulla once again begins to charge up a Manic Cannon but does not release the built-up energy. Rather, she lets it continue to grow into an oversized sphere (somewhat similar in appearance to her Catch for Chumps attack) before hurling it haphazardly in the general direction of the offender—undoubtedly annihilating them in an instant along with the immediate area (immediate area being lessened from "planet" to "this block and maybe the parking lot next door" thanks to Mason's mechanical wizardry). Tremendously exhausting, and used to require a mandatory state of hypersleep for approximately the next hundred years or so before she was fit enough to use it again. Due to her constant wearing of Mason's energy suppressor, though, this drawback has been lessened to a mere day or two. Can only be fired once per individual battle.
  • Weaknesses: Tyulla is fundamentally a beamspammer in practice, and while she may boast some close range effectiveness her techniques in these niches are significantly less developed and borderline unskillful. Her blatant overconfidence and conviction in her might is astounding in its stubbornness, but when it comes down to it she's a lot of temporary flash and a squishy goop girl once she's run out of juice. Yes, Tyulla is primordial, has eaten an Elder Being or two a few billennia ago or so, and has blown up more planets and celestial bodies than she's eaten chocolate sundaes—but at the end of the day, she's still a physical being and subject to (most) of the universe's laws. That and she tends to blind herself with her own attacks. Which she doesn't like to mention all too often.
  • Gear:
    • Battle Armour: A suit of armour gifted to her by an alien race she had decided to spare long ago, and is her favourite article of clothing (even if her display of "mercy" was more because the planet had a massive supply of sugar in its ecosystem). It is of a dark red and black colouration, sleek in design and form-fitting. Interestingly, it is able to slowly regenerate itself of any given damage—something she is intensely envious of due to her own inability to do so herself. Kept stored just beneath her outer layers of skin, ready to be manifested in place of her street clothes at a moment's notice. It's also decorated with blood-red hearts in a mockery of love's ultimate insignificance against the inescapable forces of nature or some crap.note
    • Mason's Energy Suppressor: A precaution undertaken by her roommate almost immediately after she first met him. Designed to make her integration into human society less... explodey, it is a mechanical bracelet discreetly worn around her left wrist and designed to carry the appearance of some sort of prototypical watch. Wearing this drastically decreases her body's ability to generate dark energy, and she has gone so far as to let Mason lock it on permanently—only able to be released by his specific command. Tyulla has a mixed relationship with the thing: she appreciates its role in enabling her to function normally, but it's just so darn itchy...
  • Backstory:
    • A consciousness formed by the steady congealment of gloopiness and primordial slime in the very beginnings of the universe's formation, Tyulla began her first few millennia of existence lazily gorging her way up a fellow Elder Thing's arm before absorbing it entirely. Such was the hierarchy, or lack thereof. In any case, her mind opened wide and her power increased tenfold; assimilating the Thing's construction and mastery over the destructive forces of the infantile universe for itself and gaining the capacity to become a mean-ass #$&%ing beamspammer. Gradually working up an appetite for stimulation as it began to slither about the emptiness of the cosmos and zap away at everything in its path, it steadily began to form over the countless eons into the feared (and gently mocked) being as it is today—the Slime Girl known as Tyulla.note
    • Now, there have been many theorizations as to why such a grand and destructive entity would ever stoop so low as to take up the form as an insignificant ant. Some suggest it to be reverse-psychology. Others say it just really likes boobs. Tyulla herself shrugs and says ‘I'unno.’ Really, though, the Rampant Primordial just appreciates the novelty of it all and the boobs. Tyulla herself is fueled by the concepts of activity and euphoria, and if the grand majority of powerful fighters for some reason come in the form of spangly human-shaped thingies then who is she to argue? With a penchant for cold desserts and childish antics, the Rampant Primordial has made its way towards Earth and into the life of the particularly nutty Mason Bridges; becoming his roommate after a series of unfortunate events so trashy it'd make even an anime fan cry. Now attempting to settle into a life more mundane and socially acceptable, Tyulla still hasn't managed to quash her innate desire to blow s*** up despite her urges to remain favourable in the eyes of the public—and one way or another the lifestyle of a superhero seems to be the perfect compromise for that...
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Distinct smell of sugar and assorted confectioneries. Whether she is actually edible or not has yet to be seen.

  1. Real Name: Mahvash Matten Mattiuza
  2. Superhero Name: Same as her given name. Or Druj Mahvash to those she's condescending (or being formal) to.
  3. Age: 21 And about 3197. Its complex
  4. Appearance/Presentation: Mahvash's humanoid manifestation is (usually) a towering, dusky woman with hair blacker than vantablack, which seems to fade into her body and the environment and a halo that's even darker note . She's freezing cold to the touch, and light goes rather dimmer in her presence. Yet, ever contrasting all the dim, she has very bright if cold blue eyes. She'll rarely be seen with a posture between rigidly poised and Limp and Livid, and her breathing and heartbeat are social not signs of life. They stay regular unless she declines to do them. Mahvash's superhero uniform varies, but she favors a dress shirt and an embroidered tailcoat along with dress slacks. And no shoes, even when walking over jagged rocks. Occasionally, she eschews clothes and arrives in a 'uniform' of glorified aura.
  5. Personality: Mahvash being on the side of Saint Foundation and its forces comes more from 'nobility' than 'goodness', and her default state is pseudo-sweet on top of aristocratic mannerisms, even/especially when being malicious. She is more than aware of life as a Wide Open Sand Box and revels in that knowledge and her unique power to do things in it. As is the norm (with her 'kin'), she doesn't fundamentally want anything or still less need anything. Yet, she built a sense of ethics... she knows she'd run out of things in the random destruction route even if no one stopped her and Mahvash's A God Am I attitude keeps her responsible, with her acknowledging the perks and responsibility at once. And she gets a sort of selfless glee when she successfully influences and teaches. Between 'godly responsibility' and her own experience, she'll never retire nor shut down.
  6. Powers: Mahvash is a practiced mage of her people's school. She has mastery of her domain, and her person and powerful aura are rather poisonous to creation. She tends to use her eldritch body and aura for Variant Power Copying. In raw form, at range, her wisps of aura cleans the air of microbes and make life and magics wither away. Her touch undoes spacetime, something she exploits for special and often bizarre movements, when she doesn't want to just appear. As a daeva, she's needless, has no vital organs or cellular processes to protect, and doesn't eat or breath but to be social (and food can be good) or absorb enemies. Her sense of touch is her main method of sensing the world and therefore highly developed in comparison to her sight. She can feel things out with great accuracy and at great range. She's sensitive, of course, on the spiritual level, but Mahvash can read much more from people who give her access to their souls. Naturally, she can manage godly basics like sensing people saying her name or requesting her aid, rendering said 'divine' aid, or creating 'holy' ground.
  7. Weaknesses: The daevas' enemy gave fire to humans to combat them, and Mahvash is no exception. Her aura's range is sharply reduced in the presence of a blaze and the flames themselves protect anything behind them. Further, she can't enter into or exit from an area immersed in flames by her peculiar means. Atar makes those penalties worse. And when injured, her healing only looks automatic. It's second nature, but still a very voluntary action. Being disabled means that won't happen, and, not being able to go unconscious, she'd just have to deal with the pain. White magic would definitely not heal her. Nor would modern medicine. As for stealth, the dimming effect, the irrepressible halo make that difficult and her Magic Is a Monster Magnet. She gets no second chances anyway. Anything that kills her leaves her Ret-Gone. In short, the universe has quite the immune response to her presence.
  8. Gear: Mahvash carries around her bronze mirror, decorated and perfumed handfans/warfans, and a chain.
  9. Backstory: Mahvash and her 'parents' and she are in an odd, circular relationship. long version . When the king left her to her own devices on Earth, she was content enough patronizing a house, but, after the Gaea campaign and especially Saint's death, well, there is a void in the fragile world order...
  10. Miscellaneous: Her constant desire to make each moment fulfilling can mean that she'll never happily sit still and may take the direct route to issues, but it's also motivated her to be quite the renaissance woman.

Where am I? What's going on?

It's been a while, huh? Every time I think I'm out I drag myself right back in. Le's do this.

Real Name: Rebecca Raleigh

Superhero Name: Pollutrix

Age: 20 (I think. Timeline stuff is what it is.)

Appearance: A lithe, muscular young woman whose most distinguishable feature is the layer of grime that constantly covers her body. Buried under there is fair skin, blond hair tied back in a ponytail, and blue eyes. Her costume consists of little more than a dirty brown leotard emblazoned with the biohazard symbol and a pair of matching boots.

Personality: Rebecca's most notable characteristic is her idealism. Even in the ever-more-cynical climate of superheroism, she holds onto the values instilled in her by the Saint and other heroes of old. With that said, she also has a tendency to blame herself whenever anything goes wrong around her, and hold herself to a far higher standard than her peers.

Powers: Rebecca is able to generate and manipulate filth and uncleanliness. Unregulated, this results in a 15-meter radius around her being constantly polluted, but she has learned to hold this back and control it enough to generate filth wherever she wants within that radius. However, the less she holds back, the more precise control she can exert with her rhypokinesis. As a side effect of her powers, cleanliness is physically harmful to her, meaning she must walk around covered in filth at all times, which has naturally resulted in a foul odor.

Gear: N/A

Backstory: Born to a pair of police officers and growing up idolizing all champions of justice, Rebecca got her own chance at heroism when she stumbled upon a shady antique shop and ended up breaking a mysterious statue. Though an alumnus of Saint Academy, after the Saint's death, she was devastated and dropped out of the world of heroics. However, as things continued to get worse in the world at large, her family convinced her that idealistic heroes like herself were sorely needed, and she set out to resume her role as a protector of the innocent.

Miscellaneous: Has no sense of smell, as a result of sensory overload from her powers.

I swear, the first time I check this website all summer and this goes up. Must be fate.

  • Real Name: Marcus Millar Kent
  • Superhero Name: Labrys
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: Marcus has undergone a lot of changes since the end of the Savior War and the "Greece Mission" shortly after; he's kept his hair roughly the same length mostly, with the hair on the right most side of his head shaved down to a buzz cut, and he retains his incredibly muscular physique...though now he's covered in scars. He has one from temple to jawline, a couple really nasty looking ones just above his knee and on his right forearm, and an assortment of others from the fight with Messiah. And oddly enough his right eye now perpetually has a golden sclera, which has a slight glow, which seems to extend to slight scarring proceeding down from it. He now wears a zipped up black and red sleeveless vest over a very tight sleeveless undershirt, a single shoulder guard fastened on to his right shoulder. He wears a combination of long tight gloves underneath armored gauntlets, the right gauntlet looking slightly more bestial. He wears an armored belt around his midsection, and armored boots. His outfit includes a single shoulder cape with a hood.
  • Personality: Marcus tries to keep to the kind of personality he had before, remaining rather witty though rather more deadpan and sarcastic - it is evident though that he's changed. A lot. His aggressive style during fighting has if anything increased significantly, and he fights with an almost unconscious brutality - as if he doesn't even realize he's fighting much more harshly than he ever had before. He's still Hot-Blooded, but this expresses itself more in strange angry episodes nowadays. He's become quite quiet now, and almost seems to regard fighting as more "stress relief" than anything else. He has literally no patience for either the Gaean or Guardian perspectives, regarding both with disdain. He still tries to keep with his old interests, but it's very hard for him to just lose himself in his interests. He knows he should be bothered by how few qualms he has with the amount of force he feels ready to exert, but he seems to be almost not there some times. Indeed, there are occasions where it seems Marcus stares off into space, loses time, doesn't realize what he's been doing... He has quite a few things wrong with him, and there's the matter of his denial of this. What he is sure about though is that whatever's wrong with him, he is not going to kill anybody regardless what's going on inside his head.
  • Powers: Labrys has the same kind of powers as the Saint with a few additions; Super-Strength, Super-Toughness, Super-Speed, enhanced stamina, and so on... though now with some different additions. He can now finely control his biology, namely his muscles, bones, blood and so on, either offensively or defensively. This power plus his original ones let him hit on a higher level than before.
    • Following training with Cole, he has limited psionic powers; namely, tactile telekinesis, which amounts to strong manipulation of whatever touches him or is within his immediate area. He can use this to further strengthen himself, or alter things around him. He's since advanced his understanding of this power,
  • Gear: One definite new thing here added to Marcus is he now has a weapon - the Black Iron Axe, which he picked up during the Greece Mission. This two headed axe, black as obsidian, glimmers in the sun. It's powerless now, but it used to have a greater deal of power before.
  • Backstory: According to him, he's a clone of the original Saint, created in the labs of the Sovereign Sphinx, Malhareff. He then escaped the lab and saw the students leaving "this whack temple thing, totes looked off the wall!" And so he decided to enroll with Saint University, hoping to live up to the original. What he was not prepared for was the sheer extent to which people started imposing ideas on him. Then the whole incident with the Saviors happened; Marcus exited the war with the Saviors' Dimension scarred, mentally hurt, and dealing with his own issues related to the death of the Anti-Saint. Now however he's just come home from the Greece Mission, which he refuses to discuss in detail, and he doesn't remember much of.
  • Miscellaneous: Apparently the Axe was a gift, except he doesn't remember who gave it to him.

  • Real Name: Cole Streiss
  • Superhero Name: none so far.
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: Cole dresses in a tight short sleeved coat made of black denim, a sleeveless vest with a damaged zipper that only goes up half way up his chest, and a likewise quite tight blue sleeveless shirt that is quite flattering on him. He wears a pair of tanned leather pants with a number of pockets added on, which have a number of odd little trinkets and items - souvenirs from his long and arduous travels. Cole has light brown hair that fades to blond at the tips - his eyes are light blue, and he looks visibly scruffy. He has a muscular but somewhat lean build, athletic and like that of a runner. He has a number of scars on his torso. He's now added a bandanna to his ensemble.
  • Personality: Cole is a rather jumpy if deadpan lad - he's lived through a lot, and tends to jump right to fight or flight solutions when he's faced with hostility. He tends to be very sarcastic and dry-witted when he can, viewing it as better than just laying down and letting everything happen. He can be a right flirt, though this is usually more of him trying to enjoy his time instead of shamelessly going after people. Cole is enthusiastic about singing - he used to be a bar singer, along with some of his friends, and despite his rough and tumble outlook, most remark he has a lovely singing voice. Furthermore, he is also smarter than he looks - he tends to be a more tactical sort, now more than before. His attitude to his powers has changed, viewing them with more connection to who he is, and less as something he has to fear. He's trying to get used to those around him and be more social with them. He's been through two huge world-shaking events now, and knows there will probably be more, so his friends need someone there for them.
  • Powers: Cole's powers owing to the infusion from Wilma's mysterious Patron have been more finely honed, as he has become the "Metahuman Sage". His control has more than improved, owing to an understanding of his powers, and if he wants to push above his former limits, he has a new "random number generator" from 101 to 125. His psychic powers can act all the way down to the atomic level, and can do things from empower his physical attacks, launch telepathic attacks, to control his surroundings...one of his definite strengths is the sheer variability to his power usage.
    • Weakness: Poor Control: Even with the Sage upgrade, Cole is still a volatile, unpredictable guy with poor emotional control. With his powers tending to flare up when he gets emotional, this obviously means he can misfire significantly if his emotions get to a certain point.
  • Gear: Cole carries a blue metal knife with him called Memoir, which is sharper and more durable than most known metals.
  • Backstory: Falling out of the sky is something Cole's familiar with - and as he showed up in Super City, he was distinctly aware of the recent flare ups of human and metahuman resentments. He spent a good amount of time on the ground, trying to get a feel for what was going on before making a move to try and sign up for Saint University. He didn't have good memories of a number of those present, remembering them as people distinctly different than they are, but Cole has always been a "move forward, don't move back" type. He knows they're not who he remembers, but old issues don't just heal up perfectly all the same. Cole is nothing if not a survivor. And he's now survived a lot more.

  • Personality: Cheerful, somewhat naive and acts kinda stupid at times, but can show himself to be perceptive once he manages to slow down and actually think. But beyond that, he can be very empathetic, and tries to do what he can to help, even if he looks like a klutz most of the time.

  • Powers:

    • Dragon Blessed: Due to having the power of a dragon sealed inside him, he has these powers:
      • Aerokinesis: His main skill, being able to create Razor Wind, tornadoes and messing with the wind as easily as he himself breathes.
      • Sixth Sense: He jumps at alert at any threat. Any actual chance to act on it, however depends on his physical and mental limits.
      • Dragon turning: He can give his body dragon like characteristics, getting green scales on his body for protection, turning his arms or legs for a bigger impact, etc. Mixed with martial arts prowess, it makes him dangerous up close.
      • Gekirin: Or reverse scale, and the bad side of being a dragon. There is a scale under his chin, that he can make it disappear, but appears every time his body changes to that of a dragon. Touching it sends him into a rampage.
    • Ghost Dragon: A technique he found by connecting with the spirit inside him. A form of astral projection, letting the Dragon inside of him, Sorano, take more of a physical form in the world. Its considerable power comes to play, and it can even connect its senses to Ryuu. However, this causes a lot of strain on Ryuu, who has to keep a strong focus for it to be stable, and to be able to keep some clarity of mind to communicate with Sorano and coordinate.
  • Weakness: Since he is somewhat reptilian, he is affected by cold.

  • Gear: Normally carries a special staff, made to be way stronger than it should be. Also got a robot dog made to track and scout, Spike.

  • Backstory: Raised by his foster father, Ryuu has several questions about his origin is a mystery to himself. But unknown to him, his father was interested in the summoning of spirits, and in one attempt to truly be able to become even stronger, but lost control and the power went to his son and he and his wife disappeared on the incident, as the kid ended missing, found a fair bit away. While the dragon's powers ended up dormant for years before coming in explosively. Now, he tries to figure out his future, even if he just lives the now.

The time to grow up has come, and he is getting more aware of it all, but he stares forward.

  • Real Name: Samuel Aster Everett

  • Superhero Name: Snow Leopard

  • Age: 20

  • Appearance:as a human, when transformed, he turns into a 6 feet 4 cat man. He still keeps the blue longcoat, black pants and boots super suit.

  • Personality: Quiet, somewhat serious and lately melancholic is how he presents himself, but he is surprisingly kind, and tries to be more open to the people around him. Sharper than some would think, and trying to take care of those around him. Still holds a dangerous wrath on him.

  • Powers:

    • Cryokinesis, he can create and control ice and snow, evaporate it, and make it take any form, and freeze things in seconds, among other tricks. His body temperature is also very low and his breath is visible even in summer, but it doesn't affect him. However, he doesn't deal well with heat.

    • Turning: After some practice, he can turn to the cat form and back. The form increases his strength, speed, agility and senses, but he doesn't use it that much.
    • Gear: His boots hide ice skates and skis for extra mobility. He also decided to get googles with a few tricks to protect his eyes from anything.

    • Backstory: Samuel was, according to himself, a fairly normal kid, his life was focused on playing, making whatever friends he could and enjoying the fights and excitement heroes bring to everyone's lives, Now, imagine his surprise when he accidentally encased an angry dog on ice at 8. Turns out, his grandfather, Gabriel Everett was exposed to radiation in a trip to the Everest. His father Chris and his brother Noel, who he thought were a normal lawyer and architect were in fact, the heroes Zero II (now retired) and III, so they helped him practice with his newfound powers. Now, the snow kid is trying to live, and grow into a hero.

All the things happening around him make him question pretty much everything about the world, the future and his place on it, but he carries on.

  • Miscellaneous: Not right now.

And it took me all of an hour to complicate things for myself. Never change, me.

Real Name: Renée Raleigh

Superhero Name: Salamander

Age: 20

Appearance: Renée shares her blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, as well as most of her other features, with her twin sister, though she's comparatively lacking in muscle definition and wears her hair down. In civvie clothes she tends to go with a tank top and sweatpants. Her Salamander armor resembles Master Chief with much thicker armor, is large and bulky enough that it completely disguises her figure, and is painted crimson with a salamander design on the helmet.

Personality: Compared to her sister, Renée is much more lax and cynical, though Becca's idealism has rubbed off on her a bit. She also happens to be a technological genius, although up until recently that was only used for modding her gaming PCs.

Powers: N/A

Gear: The Salamander armor is a suit of powered armor designed by Renée to help support her sister. It's big, bulky, and weighs a ton, but it can take a hit from a truck and comes equipped with upwards of 20 retractable flamethrower nozzles that deploy from the hands, shoulders, chest, and even feet. Unfortunately, these run on a limited fuel supply, which is stored under heavy armor plating on the back of the suit.

Backstory: Renée grew up in the same environment as her younger twin, Rebecca, but lacked the same infatuation with heroes her sister displayed. Instead, she was perfectly happy lazing around, playing video games and surfing the web. However, when Rebecca announced that she was returning to hero work in a world that was more hostile than ever, Renée decided, against her better judgment, that she couldn't let her little sister go alone. Putting her underutilized technological mastery to work, Renée created the Salamander suit to support her sister as a hero.

  • Real Name: Dante Precossini.
  • Superhero Name: The Carnival Prince.
  • Age: 20 years old.
  • Appearance: He is a 5'7" tall boy with short black hair (with a "emo" bang covering his right eye), pale skin, bluish-purple eyes. Not too thin, but slightly below average body build. He usually wears a jester costume, with a jester-like cape, shoulder plates, some golden features, knee-plates and two belts trasversally wrapped around his waist, where his five magical masks were kept.
  • Personality: He's a calm guy, to the point of demonstrating Dissonant Serenity. He's pretty laid back and acts like a confident prince. Sometimes he acts overdramatically, such as being absolutely furious and/or overly depressed for small things.
  • Powers:
    • Mask Powers: Thanks to the Carnival Prince's Awakened Masks, he can access to different powers, depending on what mask he decides to wear.
      • Lilith Facade: The fusion of the former Schizo and Sirena Masks. With it, Dante will transform into a strange, attractive creature (7'7" tall; feminine frame, with a larger than average bosom; owl-like eyes, that respectively are crimson red and sky blue; blackish blue feathers and dark red scales; clawed hands and talons that are capable of cutting through steel) that is capable of giving different kinds of emotions and feelings by exposing them to mysterious sound waves.
      • Umbra's Visage: The strange amalgamation of the Desossi Masquerade [Mask] and the Incognito Mask. With it, Dante can become the shadowy doppleganger of someone. He will gain the watered down (to varying degress) versions of their powers that are slightly empowered by darkness auras.
      • Racnec Mask: The fusion of the Praecox and Alvea Masks. With it, he can "clone" himself in a way similiar to mitosis/meiosis. His "offspring clones" (that are venomous and can shoot webs) will gradually get smaller as they "clone" themeselvesnote . Dante's "offspring clones" can form a swarm, with Dante's will being the Hive Mind. The smaller the "clones" get, the stronger the swarm will be.
      • Vizard Of Anima: The amalgamation of the Fatuo and Purgatorio Masks. With it, he can transform into an androgynous wraith shrouded in veils. He can produce grayish lavender flames, be intangibile, become invisible and possess most living beings and objects.
      • Animus Domino: The fusion of the Wonder Masquerade [Mask] and the Senso Mask. With it, he transforms into a taller (6'7") and more muscular version of himself, who's got blank white glowing eyes. His costume is the same, except the main colors are now light lavender and light gray. His jester hat's "horns" would become pointier and more geometric. In this form, Dante has got Super-Strength and Super-Reflexes, enhanced senses, telepathy, short-distance teleportation powers, the capability to create psionic blasts, psychokinesis and strength/energy building powers and ergokinesis.
  • Weakness: If he uses one mask and switches to another one, he cannot use the former one for the rest of the day.
  • Gear:
    • Lilith Facade: A mask that looks the pale face of a strange, feminine creature.
    • Umbra's Visage: A black mask with lots of white, blank eyes.
    • Racnec Mask: A dark purple mask that depicts the monstrous face of an arachno-insectoid being.
    • Vizard of Anima: A mask, seemingly made of black velvet, with an anguished "face".
    • Animus Domino: A lavender domino, with a vertical "third eye" (yellow sclera, purple iris and pupil and thick-ish black outlines) on it.
    • Precossini Kordoro: A summonable rapier with a red/purple/gold hilt color scheme and a sparkling blade. It is a remarkably powerful sword, and its properties change depending on what mask Dante will wear.
Backstory:
  • Dante was born in Venice as the son of the Carnival King. Every Carnival, he and his son would impress the others with the wonderful masks and costumes that the King himself crafted. One day, Venice got attacked by a crazed demon known as Dementius. The demon enchanted the King's masks with his magic and when the King tried to stop him, Dementius sealed his soul in one of his greatest masks, the Wonder Masquerade Mask. Before Dementius stole the masks, the City Priest fended him off the city. After Dementius' banishment from Venice, they put the Carnival King's body in a golden coffin. Dante swore from that day that he would defeat Dementius. That's why he went to Saint Academy. So that he could master the masks' powers.
  • During his stay at the Academy, Dementius managed to "link" with him. He would start to torment Dante, both psychologically and physically. Dante hopes that, with his enrollment at Saint University, he would finally defeat Dementius (and whoever is in league with him).
  • During the University year, Dante's hopes became real as the Wonders managed to defeat Dementius. After that, however, Dante's cartoonish "prince" persona and his tendency to overdramatize things up resulted in a relationship fallout between him and the Wonders (and maybe all of Class 1), and because of that, his heroic career got temporarily interrupted.
  • Miscellaneous: Dante has got a light Venetian accent.

  • Name(s): Iuvem Dias (name given by his guardian/tutor)...or just Jupiter.
  • Superhero Name: Phaeton.
  • Age: His hidden conscience existed since (over) 4.5 billion years, when he, the planet Jupiter, was born. The "golem" form is over two years old.
  • Appearance: Iuvem is a big (eight feet tall) and chubby creature with cartoonish proportions (long big arms and short legs). His skin resembles exactly the look of the planet Jupiter's atmosphere. The pattern on his body seems to be constantly rotating, speeding up or slowing down depending on Iuvem's mood. He's got a "crown" of horns that resembles a medium-short spiky human hairstyle. He lacks a nose, but has got some traditonally not-directly visibile olfactory receptors. He's got a fanged mouth and then human-like sharp teeth. His eyes are orange with black sclerae. He usually wears an orange t-shirt (with a white logo that depicts a planet with two rings, which are diagonally titled), black jeans and (bright) orange and white shoes (an attempt of his guardian at making him look humanly presentable).
  • Personality: Iuvem is serious, no-nonsense, wise and adamant, but can display childlike innocence and curiosity. All of this mixed with the fact that he really isn't good at speaking with people would result in The Comically Serious and awkward moments. But despite that, he is one who despises evil and will do everything to eliminate it. He is a Big Eater. He's pretty disdainful towards daevas (see backstory).
  • Powers:
    • Planetary Golem Physiology: Iuvem's body, even though it's mostly made of solid hydrogen and helium, has both superhuman strength and superhuman toughness. He can punch through reinforced steel. He can be hit by a truck (at full force) or gunfire and still be intact.
    • Hydrogen Manipulation: Iuvem can manipulate the hydrogen around his surroundings.
    • Levitation/Lightness: By manipulating the gravity, he can reduce his weight, becoming lighter and capable of making big, floaty jumps. With this, he can also levitate.
    • Gravitional Pull: By he can pull people and objects towards him by manipulating the gravity. The full force is 24.79 m/s².
    • Storm Creation: He can create a miniature storm from his body.
    • Regeneration: If Iuvem has eaten something before getting injured/mutilated (or after using a Cast from Hit Points move), he will regenerate, as long his "heart" is intact. The speed of the regeneration depends from how much he has eaten before.
    • Chaos Mode: Iuvem, by accessing this mode, gains chaotic powers and properties. He can emulate several elements, teleport and cast an aura capable of nullyfing psychic and magic forces. In this mode, his body becomes black and blue, with Prophet Eyes and "melting mouth", and a wraith-like appearance.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Highly Flammable Body: Since Iuvem's body is mostly made of solid hydrogen and helium, which are both highly flammable elements, he really needs to avoid fire attacks.note
    • Storm Creation: Cast From Hit Points: If he decides to create a storm from his body, he will lose the body art he created the storm from. Thankfully, he can regenerate—oh wait.
    • No Food. No Regeneration: Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
    • Core Destroyed. Game Over: If someone manages to expose his core and destroy it (or just destroy it), he will die.
    • Chaos Mode: He still retains his pre-Chaos Mode weaknesses.
      • Chaos Corruption: Excessive use of the Chaos Mode will result in him become more villainous
  • Gear: N/A
  • Backstory:
    • Planet Jupiter, for over 4.5 billion years, was the Jupiter we knew and loved. Until the end of last month (In RP/MSA). Two daevas, named Teroras and Zalah. These two are bratty, petty, naughty and impish. They were throwing some asteroids from the asteroid belt at Mars. They really wanted see it suffer. Then they started throwing asteroids at Jupiter. But they got pissed off at it, because they couldn't see the oddly satisfying asteroid craters, like with Mars. So they destroyed it in a fit of childish rage. Now the moons were going crazy, but fortunately, the guardian of the Milky Way, Galaktios, managed to keep the 79 moons still, by keeping them inside a "bubble", that would serve as the late planet Jupiter's substitute. Galaktios got angry at the two misfits and scolded them, saying that if they won't do something, he would punish them. And then this happened.
Teroras: You want Jupiturd back? Then we will being him back!
After Teroras said that, he and Zalah used the destroyed planet's remains to create a lifeform. And thus, Jupiter was reborn as a "planetary golem", with his former memories as a planet. When he woke up, he felt confused but then he was instantly enraged upon seeing the two rowdy daevas. He tried to attack them, but Zalah just threw him at that Insignificant Little Blue Planet, before running off with Teroras to another part of the universe, with Galaktios furiously chasing after them, but that's another story.
    • Iuvem was getting thrown into Earth. An organization, known as ETHELnote , managed to track down the falling alien, and saved him before he died. ETHEL's token mage, Betty Glove, wanted to guard and raise him in secrecy, and after some agreements, the CEO of ETHEL let her raise the alien. Betty called the alien "Iuvem Dias" and taught him how to speak English. At the end of the month, she had pubicly announced the existence of the newly-named Iuvem and the fact that he will get enrolled at Saint Academy, despite the recent controversies around it, to make him become an hero.
    • At the Academy, a strange occurrence made him meet a daeva-human hybrid(?) known as Pandora Phaeteis. She gave him a gift: The key to unlock the Chaos Mode. He managed to unlock this mode by feeling a strong rage and hatred towards Elim.
    • With his graduation, he's prepared to face the trials and tribulation that will happen with his enrollment at Saint University.
    • At the University, Iuvem started noticing something strange when he used his Chaos Mode. In later missions, this turned out to be the Chaos Corruption. He hopes that he, his squadmates, and ETHEL will find a way to neutralize it.
  • Miscellaneous: Iuvem's voice is deep with a slight unnatural reverb. This reverb becomes more noticeable which he accesses the Chaos Mode.

  • Name: Marisa Matthews (or just Mari)
  • Superhero Name: Mari-Mira (This is also her Internet username)
  • Age: 21 years old
  • Appearance: She is 5'11" feet tall. At first, she looks like a slightly pale girl with really long (waist-length), straight, blackish-green hair, with a bang covering her right eye and a moderately ample bosom. Her eyes (with carefully extended eyelashes) are of a glassy grey color. Outfit-wise, she wears eye-themed earrings (the iris/pupil parts are tourmaline-colored), a bluish-white shoulder-revealing blouse (that is somewhat akin to a top), a pair of jean-like shorts and a pair of classy trainers. She has some masterfully applied black eyeliner on her eyes.
  • Personality: She is boisterous, hammy and ostentatious. She likes to show off and mess with others, in mischievously playful, mean and sometimes forceful ways. She basically acts like an over-the-top valley girl. But, deep down, she is a devious and calculating individual that wants to be a winner. She also likes to mostly investigate alone and gladly take some risks in order to get what she wants.
  • Powers:
    • Shimmer-Radiated Body: Due to the prolonged exposure to the Shimmer Shield, her body started to mutate. Her physical capabilities started to heighten to superhuman levels.
    • Reflection Warping: As another perk of the bizarre mutation given by her Shimmer Shield, she can use any reflective surface as a "portal” to any desired place in a city-wide range, assuming she has to see her reflection in the surface and assuming her desired place has got a reflective surface to access it with. While warping from place to place, the momentum remains unchanged.
  • Gear:
    • Shimmer Shield: An alien, circular mirror with the diameter of 100 centimeters. It seems to be made of a reflective, diamond-like material, while its rim is golden. The Shimmer Shield can reflect energy projectiles/beams. It can be shrunk into a component of a pretty fashionable bracelet.
    • Mari’s Trusty Mobile Phone: An iPhone X that she uses to access her famous social network account.
  • Backstory:
    • Marisa Matthews was born to a rich millionaire and his Japanese wife. Her childhood was the typical childhood of an upper-class fellow: getting pampered and becoming spoiled. Her parent had ambitious plans for her future as a top-tier model and fashion blogger. Marisa started modeling since she was five years old. Her parents also enrolled her in one of the best private schools in the country, so that she could have a good education. However, in the middle of her teenage years, when she was in her 17th year, her simple upper-class life changed: to celebrate yet another anniversary, Mari's parents went to Japan, where her maternal grandparents lived. The mansion they lived in was in the countryside. Things were going smoothly, until a bright shooting star crashed into a place that was not that much far from the mansion. Marisa instantly darted out of the building to see what went on. The fallen object, whose beauty was akin to a diamond's radiated its surroundings with its light. The 17 year old, fascinated by the object, decided to examine it. As she was swallowed by its light, a voice rang in her mind:
O hero who bathed in the light of the chosen shield, listen to my prayer. You shall don the gleaming oplum and put a stop to the evil in our homeworld!
    • Marisa couldn't care less about the mysterious prayer and simply donned the shield just because she thought it was beautiful. As Mari did that, she felt stronger...more flexible. As if the energy of the shield went flowed into her body.
    • Since that fateful day, Marisa started to gradually repurpose her already noted public image as a FFBHM or "Future Fashion-Blogging Hero Model", since the hero trend seemed to start becoming increasingly relevant...to her, anyway. She started training under a combat instructor (that was hired by her parents), honing her fighting skills and her mastery of the "Kirameki Tate" (the name given to the chosen shield by her maternal grandparents), translated into the charmingly alliterative "Shimmer Shield". She also renamed her internet persona "Mari-Mira" and started promoting her "hero in training" status, making her follower count skyrocket.
    • She now feels like joining the Saint Foundation as a way to promote herself as a popular, courageous and beautiful hero and be on the side of the winners.
  • Miscellaneous: Marisa’s accent is a silly, obnoxious to some, mixture between the stereotypical Valley Girl accent and a Japanese accent. She currently has 4.467.147 followers.

  • Real Name: Wilma Equuleus Pictoris Printer
  • Superhero Name: White Queen
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Upon first glance, Wilma is a Cloudcuckoolander through and through. However, under all the strangeness lies a startlingly bright intellect that doesn't hesitate to lend a hand, should she be needed—even though she may be afraid at times. She absolutely adores heroic epics and her Inspired powers are partly based off of them. However, it sometimes borders into an unhealthy obsession, which was how she got her powers in the first place.
  • Powers:
    • Paper Manipulation: Wilma is able to manipulate paper to form a variety of constructs, provided that the paper can be seen by her or is within 25 feet of her. The constructs she makes take on the attributes of the real thing. Through constant practice and ignoring all facts to the contrary, her constructs are now waterproof and fireproof...as long as nobody reminds her. She depends on gestures, so restricting her movement is a good way to hamper this power. However, she can manipulate exactly one sheet of paper by using her face.
    • Legend Forgery: By fabricating a legend that attributes anomalous properties to an item and believing in it herself, she can make the properties appear in the item. The attributes manifested will always be weaker than "the real thing" and can be dispelled by simply reminding Wilma what it actually is (several times if she tries to ignore the reminders). The more powerful she wants to make the effects and the more effects she wants to add, the more strain is placed on her. "Forging" an item which has a lot of stories behind it (like Excalibur) also takes a lot out of her.
    • Internal Reality: There exists inside Wilma a separate plane of reality. It's part of her powers as an Inspired, since these Mad artists can create their own realities. It is part of the Eternal Dream (AKA the Dreamlands), where the worlds of all fairy tales and planes created by other Inspired reside and where people go when they are dreaming. It cannot be accessed normally, and everything inside it cannot be brought out (as it doesn't really "exist") easily. However, it is the fuel of Wilma's powers, and its odd nature makes defending against mental invasion and manipulation easier by making such things "manual."
      • Wilma's Internal Reality is a two-dimensional medieval landscape made of paper cutouts. Traveling to the "side" is only possible if a door is encountered. Wilma can also manipulate the surroundings (because everything is paper), but it will erode her will until she is no longer able to defend her mind, which is represented by a white crystal rose pinned to the sky to serve as a sun.
  • Blazing Arm: Having drunk Gilliano's blood, Wilma's previously part-Dream Eater arm has been transformed into an ordinary fleshy one. However, it has glowing white veins and an odd black runic heart with 5 distinct parts on the back of her hand. If she touches something with this hand, she can imbue "concepts" into them; for example, turning a stick into a weapon by applying the concept of "sword," or turning a rock into an explosive by applying the concept of "bomb." She has five charges of this power every day and whenever she uses a charge, part of the runic heart on the back of her hand fades. It is notably the only part of herself that Wilma is able to re-attach should it be severed, and while attached to her, it lowers the strain of using Inspiration considerably.
    • Her arm also has the ability to teleport her to places she can see with a total loss of momentum after it occurs and a chance to land in an awkward position. This is because everything in Wilma's sight-line has a possibility to be one of her future locations/positions, and as long as that is the case, Gilliano's blood makes it possible for her to warp probability to be there. The problem comes when she can also be sideways or even upside down in the location that she sees, making landings hard to stick.
  • Gear:
    • Crystal Rose Brooch: This white crystal brooch in the shape of a rose monitors the sum of the mental and physical strain that Wilma accumulates by using her powers. As she gets more strained, it slowly turns red. Dark red means she is on the verge of collapsing, blue means she is dying, and black means she has died.
    • Vorpal Blade: This is a silvery zweihander that goes snicker-snack and leaves enemies dead. It has engravings of rose vines all alongside its length. Don't be fooled by its seemingly special nature, however—Vorpal Blades are standard-issue weapons for those who fight Dream Eaters (shadowy monsters which eat dreams and hope), the natural enemies of the Inspired.
    • Armored Longcoat: Wilma made this longcoat out of compressed and shaped black paper and disassembles parts of it for ammunition sometimes. It is very useful against slashing and piercing attacks, but blunt force still poses a significant threat (since Wilma is still a baseline human underneath everything).
      • The blindfold reduces Wilma's paper manipulation range once she puts it on, but it also suppresses the fear she feels, because she cannot actually see what causes her fear. This makes her fight more effectively, but only within a certain range. And since it also renders her blind, she may not be able to tell between friend and foe, making this a last ditch tactic at best.
  • Backstory:
    • Wilma and her family have odd powers related to art and their obsession with it. Such individuals are called "Inspired," or just "Mad" by people wishing to insult them. A lesser known term for them is an "Alice," named after the most famous Inspired. Due to a family blessing, her whole family (minus the "uninspired" people who have married into it) is Inspired (a rare occurrence, since Inspired is based on obsession about art and not blood ties).
    • Her ancestors fought the Dream Eaters, hope-eating creatures loosed into reality by a magus family seeking revenge. Eventually, their whole family got into hunting Dream Eaters with their powers, since their Inspiration made them Supernaturally Delicious and Nutritious to the sordid creatures. Since the other favorite target of the Dream Eaters were children, they formed a hunting group under the name of "Clan Printer," by which even normal people could receive the power of their Inspiration to fight back against the Dream Eaters.
    • Wilma, being the youngest one out of her three sisters, still relatively young, and a female to boot, was deemed to be destined for greatness by the laws of stories. Therefore, she was sent to Saint University (with her consent) to claim her destiny. Whether fairy tale rules will still hold true in the real world remains to be seen...
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Anyone knowing her full and true name (which includes her secret middle name) can use it to command her. It cannot be used to order her to harm herself, as that would break the spell immediately and render it useless when used by that person again. In legal records, her middle name does not exist—however, it is listed in her great-grandfather Wilfrid's manuscript with a warning not to let anyone else know (all of the secret names are named after constellations, or parts of them). The manuscript is guarded tightly, but there are still ways Wilma's middle name could be let slip...
    • Wilma physically cannot tell a straight lie and must keep any promises she makes because of the stipulations of a family blessing that ensures her continued existence and counters a curse by a magus family. In addition to this, she must prevent her name from being struck from all records (on documents and from memory) or else she will cease to exist because the blessing is tied to the "Wil-" syllable in her name.
    • Attempting to overuse or use her powers in ways not defined by her own rules causes her physical pain and harm, including bleeding from orifices. This can be fatal if she does it too often.
    • Despite her powers, she is a regular human being and is affected like one, too.
Printer Family Saga—How It All Began
  • There was once a man named Wilfrid, and he was the first recorded person in the Printer family to become Inspired. Whatever stories he wrote in allegory came true, so he abandoned his tale-weaving and came to be a historian instead, only dealing in stone-cold facts.
  • Then a prominent magus family came to him, and asked him to redact any and all information about their concealed crimes he planned to include in his new book. Wilfrid refused. There was an argument, and the magus family left in a huff, later casting a spell to wipe out the Printer family through "accidental" circumstances.
  • Someone from the magus family stole Wilfrid's manuscript, and after many ordeals, he was able to get it back. Because he had written another short story detailing "himself" as the hero and the "magus family" as the villain, they had inadvertently spilled the details about the curse to him. So he used his powers as he had never used them before, writing for the sake of his descendants and for himself.
  • First, he redacted the details of the magus family's crimes just as he was asked, but added a detail saying that they were "uncreative and art thieves." Taken separately, it meant that the magus family was uncreative when cursing him, and they stole his art (his manuscript). Taken together, it meant that he had cursed the magus family in turn with Creative Sterility, which even affected their magic since it also counted as art.
  • Secondly, he made use of a pun in his own name ("Where there's a 'Wil-' there's a way!") to make sure that the rest of his bloodline survived. His words bound their sundered fates back together again, and ensured that they would be able to carry on his Inspired legacy—provided they never lied and never broke any promises they had. Sadly, shortly after completing his Magnum Opus (which detailed the adventures of 7 generations of Printers, including himself), he died due to overstraining his abilities.
  • Fast forward some time, and the magus family is back at it again, with many bitter feelings towards the Printer family. With their perverted magic, now only being able to copy spells and various Inspired abilities, they summoned a new breed of creature which they called the Dream Eaters—the old enemy of the Great Dream. With their new weapons, they hoped to be able to break the Printers' collective wills by having their monsters eat their enemies' creativity and hope. Wilma's grandfather Wilgefortz (who was Wilfrid's son) won a crushing victory in his time, but it cost him his voice. The creatures are still at large and are growing stronger every day.

  • Real Name: Aster Constantine & Avajax, The Iron Mountain, He Who Endures, Devourer of Pain, The Mad Beast
  • Superhero Name: Avajax
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance: She's 5'5" and 135 lbs. Here's Aster and her great-times-many-times grandpappy posing for the camera. Since being "possessed," Aster has gained red eyes and paler skin. Occasionally, lumps can be seen moving about under her skin and strange grinding sounds can be heard when she moves. She hasn't been able to get a costume that doesn't tear when she summons parts of Avajax for help; She's contacted Saint Solutions for some help, but they haven't replied yet.
  • Personality:
    • Aster is calm, collected, and polite. She's as normal as can be for a person possessed by an eldritch being. You can find her chatting amicably with her friends on the phone via texting most days. Aster used to be somewhat dismayed over how to use her great strength without hurting herself and others, but now she's gotten a tenuous handle on it. Aster and Avajax currently have a strong bond. Nothing can tear them apart—literally.
    • Avajax is...hard to describe, as he usually doesn't seem to emote and only makes strange noises that can be described as a combination of whalesong and cooing. However, Aster can understand him and describes him as "affectionate and wise." Avajax is less incomprehensible than unintelligible.
  • Powers:
    • Eldritch Host: Aster is the descendant of Avajax, an Eldritch Abomination who used to be worshipped by multiple cults. By fulfilling several unknown criteria, she was deemed a worthy host. Since Avajax was dying from lack of worship, he asked Aster to be his host so he would be saved. Aster agreed, and then Avajax proceeded to possess her. Aster deemed their relationship mutually beneficial after some careful exploration of their new symbiosis. Avajax, while not able to speak conventionally, obviously cares for Aster like a grandparent. Aster is the only one who can understand Avajax's "vocalizations," and occasionally teases the "old man."
      • Thou Shalt Have Strength: By residing inside Aster's body, he grants her supernatural strength, enough to lift buses and perform other great feats of strength. However, this has a price—normally, such exertions would cause great pain to an ordinary human being. Since Avajax "eats" and nullifies the pain, this is not a problem. What is a problem is that Aster can severely overtax her body if she overuses her super strength and wound herself without even knowing it.
      • Thou Shalt Have Willpower: Avajax lends Aster some measure of his willpower, protecting her against mental influences and the like. Aster has become very resistant to mental influences as a result of this. Also, anyone attempting to read Aster's mind will have a significant chance of being thwarted.
      • Thou Shalt Endure: Aster is hard to injure properly, and even if she is injured, the pain won't affect her—Avajax "eats" the pain inflicted upon Aster, so she doesn't feel a thing. Metallic shards jut from her wounds, sealing them and making it hard to injure her in the same place twice. They are actually parts of Avajax's body, and recede over time as the wounds heal. She has to notice wounds to seal them, which is a big problem if she can't feel pain and thereby know where she is hurt.
      • I Shall Protect Thee: Avajax allows parts of himself to be summoned out of Aster's body, warping her flesh into metallic chimeras. Aster can also summon a metallic outer shell for use as armor. (As implied in one of Avajax's titles, the metal is similar to iron and is about as tough as it too.) Occasionally, Aster can cede control of her body to Avajax for increased abilities, but Avajax will push Aster's body above and beyond her limits, leaving her severely damaged afterwards. Therefore, this is limited to being a Hail Mary move.
  • Gear: N/A
  • Backstory:
    • Aster was born to a normal-seeming family that just happened to be descended from an Eldritch Abomination. She had a fairly happy and average childhood, and displayed traits that marked her a worthy host for Avajax: patience, perseverance, and a willingness to protect others. Aster wanted to be a hero, but had no idea where to start until her teenage years.
    • She was approached in multiple dreams, and after a brief freak-out period, she got to know her great-times-many-times grandfather. After they had bonded more, Avajax asked Aster to be his host, since he would die if he didn't find one soon. Aster agreed, since she had gotten attached to him and "didn't want to lose the old fellow," as she put it.
    • Some time later, she was possessed by Avajax. Aster he realized that this could help her be a hero like she always wanted to be. Taking Avajax's name for her superhero name, she decided to pursue a path of crime-fighting. After some tumultuous stays in the hospital brought on by pushing herself to extremes, she decided to attend Saint Academy in the hopes that it will help her to learn control and use her powers better without hurting herself too much.
    • Following the climactic battle with Elim and his forces, Aster ended up straining herself more than before, earning her an extended stay in the medbay. This made her realize that superheroism might not be for her, so she decided to pursue her other longtime dream of running a food truck business. To earn the money to buy the food truck, she has started working in Saint University's cafeteria. The ability to sprout extra limbs and have fireproof armor is very useful there.
    • However, after the Guardian and Terran invasion, she realized that there were still people she had to protect, no matter what. So after a little urging from Avajax, she decided to pick up her old dream and become a hero once more by joining the Saint Foundation.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Rust is one of the things that actually hurts Avajax, causing parts of him to "rot" away. It's very painful for both him and Aster, which makes it their primary weakness. Therefore, anybody with a rust-inducing power can defeat the two with ease.

  • Real Name: Jumping Bean, Saint of Demon-Quelling & Healing
  • Superhero Name: Xian
  • Age: 19 (Actually 18, but the time she spent in her mother's womb counts as a year, according to her.)
  • Appearance: Jumping Bean is a (5 ft. 5 in. tall, 120 lbs) wiry teen girl with brown eyes and black hair in a half ponytail. She wears a dark gray hanfu set with black trim and martial arts slippers with white socks. She occasionally changes into other dark-colored hanfu sets and prefers to wear Taoist priest robes whenever she does superhero business. Most notably of all, her skin has a somewhat golden sheen to it and seems to shimmer even in the dark.
  • Personality: Mostly kind and cheerful, but may seem a bit odd in that she is interested in preserving "the balance between Yin and Yang" (that is, the balance between good and evil). Her lot in life is to be on the side of Yang, so good is what she does. There's no need to meddle when Yang overtakes Yin, it will naturally balance itself out. If an opponent pompously struts about, attack them pragmatically. If your opponent is pragmatic, act oddly to distract them. What's there to be concerned about? Nothing! All things will pass, good and bad—even life itself. Hakuna Matata!
  • Powers:
    • Fortitude of Body & Mind: Due to cultivating her conduct diligently over many years and becoming a Xian (even though she rejected her ascension), Jumping Bean is fairly resistant to mind altering, forced shape-shifting, disease and poison. In addition to that, she has a reduced need for breathing (and other mortal things) and low-caliber bullets merely give her severe bruising.
    • Chief Officer of the Celestial Revenue Service: Jumping Bean is really good at fisticuffs due to her divinity-infused flamelike aura. By charging her body with it, she can perform superhuman feats like punching through "thin" layers of concrete and (interceptable) flash stepping. She can also float (but not fly) due to her Light Body Technique. Due to her taking over Ivy Mountain's post following his arrest, she has been given more leeway to use more empowering chi, but only when the situation calls for it.
    • Taoist Magics: Jumping Bean can write incantations down on yellow paper with red ink to make Fu. These paper strips can be used as wards against evil influences, burned and the ashes used to make various potions, used to summon/consult with divine influences, and stuck on the foreheads of the undead/the freshly dead to make them thralls, heal, etc. More complex spells require complicated rituals.
  • Gear:
    • Sagely Garb: A set of dark gray hanfu with black trim given to her by the gods. It acts as armor against evil influences and black magics, repairs itself if damaged, and cannot be dirtied.
    • Divine Radiant Sword That Mows Down Evil: A very sharp and durable jian given to her by the gods. It glows in the dark and in evil's presence. It can also be used as a dowsing rod—point in the direction of the thing you wish to find and it will glow.
    • Magic Gourd of Myriad Properties: A magic gourd given to her by the gods. It spews out hot/cold winds, fire, and water. It dispenses food, drink, and medicine that can "cure all ills." It can grow to the size of a van, be used as a boat, and can fly.
    • Two thick stacks of Fu talismans stored in her sleeves
  • Backstory:
    • Once upon a time, two benevolent Taoist magicians decided to marry and have a child. But, however hard they tried, they found that having a child was impossible. Therefore, they appealed to the gods for help. The gods gave them a golden bean and told them to soak it in rice wine and seal it in an ivory box for 49 days. They did so, and when they opened the box on the 49th day, the bean, now baby-sized, jumped out and sprang all over the place. In time, a baby burst out of the bean. They named her Tiao Dou, or Jumping Bean, and taught her to read, write, and speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin, along with all that she knows today (but it only goes up to about 8th grade, so...)
    • One day, Jumping Bean's parents vanished, and she looked far and wide to find them. Ultimately, she was approached by the gods, and notified that the evil spirit of Emperor Shi Huangdi had kidnapped her parents to use in his scheme to usurp the gods' positions. Tearfully, she asked how to stop him. The gods gave her several boons and told her to oppose Emperor Shi Huangdi, for that was the surest way to find her parents.
    • The Emperor and all his allies met their ends after his endless ambition prompted him to launch an assault on Heaven early, without having gathered the required amount of elite metahuman jiangshi troops. Jumping Bean was killed during the battle, but was brought back to life when she ascended and became a Xian. Unfortunately, her parents had already been killed, but she later learned that they had been accepted into Heaven.
    • Jumping Bean was called to Heaven to receive her Xian title and new job. It turned out to have more paper-pushing and drudgery than Jumping Bean liked. Combined with her witnessing all the other Xians' decadent indulgence in Heavenly pleasures while she had to work hard, Jumping Bean was promptly disillusioned, and very much so. Therefore, she hurled herself off the highest precipice in Heaven and back to Earth, finally deciding to fill in the gaps in her education at Saint University. After getting her education sorted out, she decided to join the Saint Foundation with the express blessings of her superiors (and a promotion).
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Jumping Bean's aura (and all her martial arts abilities alongside it) is heavily dependent upon several special breathing exercises and other Taoist practices. If she had not hurled herself back to Earth without clearing it with her higher-ups, she wouldn't have this problem. Thus, disrupting her breathing (breaking her ribs is a "good idea") will hamper her fighting ability severely. She also needs to maintain a vegetarian diet or else all of her powers will disappear for a while.

  • Real Name: Peregrine "Perry" Alastor
  • Superhero Name: Stray
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: She's 4'9" and 100 lbs. from being fed more. Those "cute" shadowy things hanging around her are her friends. There are four jagged white markings on the side of her face where the Grim Reaper laid his hand on her and gave her his blessing. She wears the Garb & Mask of the Phantasmal Acolyte as her hero costume.
  • Personality: Perry does her best to maintain a sunny disposition. Since attending Saint Academy, she's become more outgoing and willing to approach people. She sometimes falls into a trance and talks to things that aren't there. Perry likes feeding the spirits that always seem to be following her around, and has therefore amassed a considerable army consisting of the spirits of dead pets.
  • Powers:
    • Grim Reaper's Claim: The Grim Reaper has given Perry his blessing and has claimed her soul as a future Reaper. Any other soul-claiming/manipulating being would be wise to think twice about trying to mess with Perry's soul, as this would garner the Grim Reaper's negative attention and wrath. Perry can also speak with Reapers on equal terms, since she is slated to eventually become one of them.
    • Spiritual Sense: Perry can sense the presence of hidden spirits, though she will still be unable to pinpoint their exact location. She needs the Mask of the Phantasmal Acolyte to properly see hidden spirits. In addition to that, Perry can hear all kinds of spirits whispering in her ears, though only the speech of human spirits will be able to get through. The words of other kinds of spirits will need to be filtered through the Mask first to be understandable. Perry can instinctively tell whether someone/something is alive, dead, or an undead creature.
    • Spirit Summoning: Perry can summon the spirits of unwanted or otherwise abused pets to any location, as long as there is space. It depends on her willpower and how many spirits she's befriended—and that's a lot. They take the form of tangible animal-shaped shadows with green eyes. They are very friendly to everyone, but will quickly turn hostile if Perry encounters any threats. She can now do the same with human spirits, but it requires their consent before doing so. This does not apply if the spirit is in danger (and she needs to rescue it) or if the spirit is a danger to others. It takes more willpower to contact and summon a human spirit than it takes to do the same to the spirit of animals.
    • Spirit Channeling: Currently, Perry has formed an especially deep bond with five spirits: a dog, a cat, a cockatoo, an Eastern Dragon, and a fire creature. This allows her to summon them into her body and attain some of their attributes. When spirit channeling, Perry forms a shadowy aura around herself with the traits of the spirit she is channeling. Now that her curses have broken, she can also do the same with human spirits, providing she summons them to her first. She gains the voice of the spirit she is channeling while acting as their mouthpiece.
      • Rollo: Rollo is a wolfdog who was starved to death by a neglectful owner. When Perry is channeling him, she gains a significant boost to her strength, a more sensitive sense of smell, and sharper teeth.
      • Lucky: Lucky is a black cat who was drowned by her depressed owner. When Perry is channeling her, she gains a boost to her speed and agility, increased flexibility, muffled footsteps, nightvison, a righting reflex, and shadowy claws.
      • Pip: Pip is a cockatoo who was choked to death by a careless groomer. When Perry is channeling him, she gains a pair of shadowy wings and the ability to mimic voices.
      • Buddy: Buddy is the manifestation of an Eastern Dragon's blessing. He's a small blue Eastern Dragon, affectionately termed a "noodle." When Perry is channeling him, she obtains significantly more strength than she gets when she channels Rollo, hard armored scales on her limbs and chest, a pair of small antlers, the ability to breathe under water, and the ability to make it drizzle. Due to the immense mental strain of channeling a freaking dragon of all things (not to mention the fact that this is supposed to be "for emergencies" based on the wording of the blessing), Perry can only channel Buddy for around 5 minutes.
      • Pancake: Pancake is the soul of a fire creature that Dr. Reinbach accidentally created. While being channeled, he grants Perry heat resistance and the ability to generate her own flames at the risk of slowly overheating and fainting. Perry can attempt to direct existing flames, but at a level weaker than proper pyrokinetics.
  • Gear:
    • Geistcutter/The Lance of Longinus: This is a primitive-looking, two-pronged bone hairpin that is in reality the sealed form of an especially potent anti-undead and anti-possession weapon.
      • Geistcutter is able to scale itself appropriately depending on its enemy. It can turn into varying sizes of knives and swords made of bone, with its final form being a two-pronged, perpetually-bloodied spear. The more attached to their life and evil its opponent is, the more it can unseal itself and grow more powerful. It is devastatingly effective when fighting against supernatural undead and possession, but its efficacy is halved when dealing with technological undead and possession. (When dealing with possessed beings, it damages whatever is possessing the being, though it unfortunately also damages the host in the process.) It is fairly feeble against mindless artificial beings, like golems and robots. Being a death-seeker can also mitigate Geistcutter's power, though there is no excuse for being evil that would make Geistcutter pity its opponent.
      • If there is a physical component to a magic spell being used against the wielder (like a beam of light, or a shield construct), Geistcutter can sunder it. This is because Geistcutter is sharp enough to sever the ties holding undead to the mortal coil, and it also conveniently applies to magic. This is not an anti-magic aura—the wielder has to notice the spell being fired and react to it accordingly in order to properly disrupt it; it cannot stop magic all by its lonesome.
      • As long as Geistcutter is within arm's reach, it can add its willpower to its wielder's to aid in the repelling of mental influences and resistance of involuntary transformations. However, any wavering of the wielder's willpower will also cause Geistcutter's influence to buckle. Having a strong bond with Geistcutter is necessary to avoid this.
      • If anyone other than its chosen wielder attempts to use it, it will not object with painful punishment unless the usurper is evil (which warrants a powerful shock of its holy powers). If a non-evil person other than its chosen wielder seeks to use this sword, it will simply whisper unpleasant truths and grow thrice as heavy while seeming to nullifying whatever enhanced strength the person has (while being thrice as light for its wielder). It does not appear to harm anyone with its strength nullification, and mechanical/technological beings can still be affected with minor glitches and malfunctions, though they take no substantial damage. Thus, it is still possible for people that are not Geistcutter's chosen wielder to use it, though quite awkwardly and clumsily. It makes exceptions in times of emergency.
        • Such is Geistcutter's loyalty that should its current chosen wielder be in life-threatening danger (and specifically life-threatening danger with no other options left), it can instantly teleport itself dramatically to its wielder's side.
      • Geistcutter is a very solemn yet proud weapon, and it seeks to atone for its past crime of piercing the side of Jesus Christ by traversing the Earth, disappearing and reappearing, to combat significant supernatural threats. It speaks with the voice of the wielder's dearest deceased family member. Its shadow betrays its true form, and will always appear strapped on the wielder's back in the wielder's shadow even if it is being carried somewhere else.
    • The Garb & Mask of the Phantasmal Acolyte: This ceremonial garb looks somewhat like this and is paired with the antlered skull of a Wendigo (a cross between a wolf's and a deer's skull), which has been engraved with intricate silver markings and sanctified with holy water. The Mask grants Perry the senses of a Wendigo and allows her to see ghosts that are otherwise invisible, sense nearby spiritual energy (including sources of magic, life-force, etc. but not control it), along with commune with (but not control) other spirits that are not of the dead. In the case of still-living beings, the Mask allows her to establish a weak, mid-range empathic bond.
    • Lantern of the Ether: When a source of flame is placed inside this ornate brass lantern, a rift to the Other Side is opened. Safe passage (seen as a glowing trail leads you wherever you want to go without getting lost) is guaranteed so long as the fire doesn't burn out. Perry still has Bellpepper's perpetual flame, so this can be a way for Perry to travel quickly without the help of her friends, who may be warded against in some situations.
  • Backstory:
    • Perry comes from a long line of spirit mediums and psychics, although recently the blood of her family has been diluted somewhat by her father marrying a normal woman. She can't summon human spirits because of this, although the spirits of animals fall under her sway easily enough. She lived a normal life through most of her early childhood, and experienced relatively few hardships. That all changed when her house was bought out by some rich folks looking to construct a new mansion.
    • Her family was evicted from their house, and she was left on a street corner because her father was ashamed of her weak ability to control spirits and her mother disliked her because of her apparent "mental disability" stemming from her blood. She managed to eke out a life living on the streets with the help of her spiritual friends, and eventually grew used to her new life, occasionally using her powers to stop minor crimes on the side.
    • She was found by the Saint Foundation about two years after her abandonment and invited to Saint Academy as a charity case. Having no real reason to object, Perry followed along and resolved to learn how to be a hero for real and learn all that she can along the way. After graduating from Saint University, she decided that the next logical step was to join the Saint Foundation.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Warding a place against spirits can prevent Perry from summoning her friends and render her without backup. Performing an exorcism upon her while she is channeling one of her five best friends will force whomever she is channeling out of her body and return her to normal.

Real Name: Vivian Courthope

Superhero Name: Silencer

Age: Always 21

Appearance: She’s been tinkering with her new robotic body, and now looks much taller and bulkier, with a bronze finish and some teal highlights. Her face is still somewhat human-ish, with a visor that can close akin to Iron Man.

Personality: Still as brazen and stubborn as always, she’s still dedicated to doing and being all that she can as a hero with her new body. Despite a few therapy sessions she’s still carrying a good amount of issues and trauma about the transfer and what she’s lost, though Viv is trying really hard to be more careful and strategic. On the other hand, she’s starting to enjoy and experiment with all of the new advantages, such as not sleeping or getting tired, information retention, and not having to wear clothes. Generally unafraid of anything (to the point of possible self-destruction). Also still not talking to Armada.

Powers: Viv’s been tinkering with her chassis and has made some changes both out of s small sense of vanity and to carve out her own niche on the team (Too many androids!).

Physical Improvements: She’s incorporated parts from her old Suit into her new body, resulting in much-improved armor. Carbon nanotube muscles replace the old hydraulics. These allow her to run at incredible speeds (up to 40 mph at lowest setting) and leap huge distances. Her physical strength has likewise improved, from being able to hit like a truck to be able to hit like a train.

Weaponry/Gear: Viv has gone back to her roots as a sound-themed hero and devised several goodies.

Vibration Cannons: These are capable of transmitting anything from an uncomfortable hum to waves that can shake apart buildings and seriously injure people or throw them around (Think Black Canary). She also has vibratory grenades.

Microphones/Mufflers: She’s equipped with both speakers and special dampeners that allow her to send direct messages to targets or “kill” noises, such as auditory cues or even her approach. This cone of silence can be very distracting. She can also use this equipment to enhance her own hearing/volume or that of an ally.

Disruption Burst: This is a concentrated burst of sound, light and electronic interference that will dazzle and disorient the senses of electronic enemies and most biological foes.

Manipulators: She's kept her old hands and stripped them down, then attached them to super-flexible tentacles stored inside. Used for delicate procedures not involving punching people.

Database: She’s been able to absorb most of her old mentor’s information, as well as most of the surviving material from the university. She also boasts top-flight communications and sensors as well as unjammable wi-fi able to download and transmit information in a twinkling.

Backstory: Chosen out of millions to be a hero without powers by the mysterious Deathknell, Vivian trained for endless hours to learn how to fight, sneak, hack, and anything else she might need to know. This included creating a persona for her and various important figures in the powered community. This went on for roughly five years until her teachers determined that she was ready and sent her off to Saint University. Her time there was turbulent. While she was certainly well-taught, the raw power of the threats they faced was significant, and Vivian began to doubt her skills. Her brutality and recklessness increased until the day of a massive attack by their archenemies filled the streets with mooks. Courthope was able to kill a powerful foe and steal his armor.

After acclimating to the armor, her problems seemed to increase. Still feeling that she simply wasn’t good enough, Viv became more unstable, and she began searching for a way to improve herself yet again. To this end, the young hero gathered information and materials from sources (some sketchy) with a view towards transferring her mind, memory, and skills into a strong metallic body. This idea preyed on her, causing a noted mental deterioration.

As an additional strain, she came across information that suggested that Deathknell had in fact chosen and trained other candidates, dealing a vicious blow to her ego and identity. Concealing this project from her classmates, Viv reached a tipping point when another girl was transferred into an android body in order to save her life after Vivian was herself advised not to do so. And so, she rushed into the procedure with second-rate equipment, resulting in a successful mind transplant but the death of her physical body.

The new Vivian has had a hard time coming to terms with her new self. After a few sessions of therapy, she’s started to feel more settled in but still not quite herself. However, the realization that she can perhaps satisfy her restless lifelong drive for improvement by modifying her new body to become the ultimate…...hero?

Miscellaneous: Her onboard systems also make her a great DJ.

  • Real Name: Iona Bassano

  • Superhero Name: Hecate

  • Age: 19

  • Appearance: She's not one much for the "cape and robe" aesthetic

  • Personality: Iona is the learned sort of person. Given the nature of the power and place from which she calls upon to use her magic, she's also the sort to stay calm and level-headed, rarely losing her composure too much in most situation. Despite calling on literal magic, she's got a somewhat cold, logical outlook about the world, though this has softened, giving way to a more philosophical outlook. Some would say she's perhaps a tiny bit heartless, but if there's anyone who's willing to make hard decisions, it's her. She has trouble showing care for others, often making her actions seem less well-intended than they actually are to her. Years of seclusion haven't left her shy, but she is rather clumsy about how she goes about things, often not knowing the right words, and she's perhaps too curious and interested in knowledge for her own good.

  • Powers:

    • Elemental Magic: Iona can call upon the Elemental Planes to cast magic of fire, water, earth, air, light and dark and their subtypes. She's advanced to an accomplished of all of them. In addition, Iona is able to attune to Elemental Energy, sensing it and using it to empower spells in areas where it coalesces strongly in the normal world. However, careful emotional control is required to stop spells from going haywire.

    • Spirit Pact: Iona knows how to and can form pacts with Elemental Spirits. Once a pact is formed, Iona can briefly call them for assistance in a spell or to use their own abilities. With enough skill, time and a good bond, she can summon them for extended periods of time as a comrade. She currently has a brand new pact with a minor wind fairy by the name of Azure, the giant golem of strength, Gigas, and an avian spirit, Halcyon

  • Gear:

    • Grimoire Iridescent: An old tome that still yet shimmers with a rainbow shine in the light. Carefully engraved into the front cover is an enclosed circle comprised of a ring of four circles, encircling two more. Each circle has a symbol of an element within. On the back, an illustration of the circle on the front intersecting with a circular depiction of a flat part of Earth. Though it appears finite, the pages never seem to reach their end when turned, holding all the magical knowledge that Iona knows and has to learn with a fickle hand.

    • Ring of Arcane Alacrity: Although Iona doesn't need any aid to cast spells, this simple iron band with a single shimmering ruby set within allows her to cast most low-effort spells with simple, subtle hand movements.

    • Satchel of Elements: Housed within this seemingly infinite pouch are a variety of elementally-charged components used to empower spells and perform rituals. It's actually just a glorified bag of holding that only holds items thick in Elemental Energy, also stopping others from exposure to it which can have negative side effects after long-term exposure

    • Insight of The Six Lords: A deck of 24 cards with blank faces and a symbol of one of the 6 elements on the back. Used to do rough fortune telling.

    • Jacket of Prismatic Protection: Though it appears to be a normal jacket, Iona's jacket is actually enchanted to provide protection from the elements. It never catches on fire, never freezes or gets wet, never dries out or gets dirty. It also offers minor protection from hostile magic.

    • Seal of The Elemental Plane: This signet ring has the seal made out of vibrant crystal that shines with the colours of the rainbow. The seal is of the same design as that on the front of the Grimoire Iridescent. But this ring is more than just for show. In the presence of large amounts of Elemental Energy, the seal changes colour to match the type of Elemental Energy. It also protects Iona from all Elemental Energy exposure, allowing her to move through the Elemental Plane unharmed should she enter it.

    • Halycon's Plume: A feathery cape that's the symbol of Halcyon's boon upon Iona. This cape allows Iona to hover just about the ground, glide and ensures that she's never affected by adverse natural wind or sea conditions. With a bit of Elemental Energy manipulation, Iona can attain true flight.

    • Time's Reprieve: A lustrous gold pocketwatch that Iona often hangs from her waist, it does not actually tell time, being perpetually stuck at 12:00. Rather, it serves to assist Iona in casting a spell that restores a non-living thing to a state it was in up to an hour before, hands moving backwards the appropriate amount of time. While in use, the gold changes to an obsidian black. Once the spell is complete, the watch counts forward to the 12:00 as usual, and can't go behind more than 12 hours.

  • Backstory: Born in a small town in Italy, Iona normally humdrum life changed at around 13 years old when she came across an old book on the Elemental Planes while browsing the library. With the spark of curiosity kindled inside her, she sought more and more knowledge about it, unaware of the superstitions and taboo associated with calling upon the Elemental Planes. Her parents' fear and frustration grew, eventually forbidding her from pursuing the topic any further.

    • Frustrated by the growing fear and rumours going around about what she thought was simple curiosity, she took off on her own at 15, running away. In doing so, she came across a most curious speaking bird, who introduced himself as Bellpepper. At the time, Bellpepper heard her plea as she broke down about all her pent up frustrations. With his help, she managed to track down a group by the name of the Society of The Iridescent Gem, a cabal of mages who venerated the Elemental Planes, Spirits and Lords. What followed was 2 years of a grueling apprenticeship, being taught the ways of the Elements and the meanings in their essences.

    • After creating her Ring of Arcane Alacrity, the right of passage for all apprentices, she was officially accepted as a member into the Society, being handed her own Grimoire Iridescent, Seal of the Elemental Plane and Satchel of Elements, and took Bellpepper on as her familiar. And as all new members, she was now mostly on her own, tasked with going on a pilgrimage to come to her own, deeper understanding of the world and the Elements, to discover new things and experiences for herself. Seeing the potential in the world of superhero society, she called upon a friend in the Society to sponsor her attendance to Saint Academy, and ventured forth into the dark unknown of a world age knew little of.

    • After leaving Saint Academy post-Gaea attack, Iona wandered the world, continuing her pilgrimage to understand the Elements and what they truly meant to the world, her skills in the mystic arts growing over the years. But dark whispers of fate called her back to Super City, and she followed. Eager to hopefully meet her old friends once again, she joined up with the Saint Foundation.

  • Miscellaneous: Has a familiar called Bellpepper. Is a member of the Society of The Iridescent Gem.

  • Real Name: Emily Blackburn
  • Superhero Name: Hyflyer
  • Age: 24
  • Appearance: 5'11". Apparently suffers from flat affect. Almost always wears a shirt or suit of some description; even in hot weather. Eyes brighten and shimmer if she's pushing the limits of her power.
  • Personality: An extremely flat, expressionless sort who seems to run entirely off of facts, routine, and logic. Emily has entirely convinced herself that the best thing she could possibly be is a businesswoman, however when it comes to anything outside of this relatively limited niche it becomes quickly apparent that she has no idea whatsoever how to interact with people. Emily seems to have her own individualised way of thinking cultivated further from being in a cold and detached workplace, and struggles to even identify her emotions half the time; let alone express them. Inside, she's a deeply anxious and conflicted individual, desperate to ‘learn how to be normal’ even though she almost always finds herself slipping back into the same old tired routines every time she tries to make a change. Despite this, she's managing to push herself to try new things—going out to interact with her colleagues even though she remains the most awkward and unsettled person present in the group by the end of it. Emily's innermost struggle is her fear of her own powers—terrified that if she ever lost control of herself and her own emotions, she'd cause untold destruction to her immediate environment and potentially cut lives short in the process. She remains reluctant to use her powers in large quantities as a result of this, but there's undoubtedly a niggling part of her that wants to use it to its fullest potential.
  • Powers:
    • Psychokinesis: The ability to remotely control physical matter using only brain power. Emily has the potential to become an incredibly powerful ESPer using this ability, but her lack of practice and blatant avoidance of applying it in large bursts means that it is extremely unrefined and clumsy when used for bigger displays of power. While on smaller, fewer objects she is fairly adept, it is best to compare her higher levels of psychokinesis to an invisible, monstrous claw—often tearing chunks off of things she's trying to mentally grasp or otherwise influence and occasionally even endangering herself by accident. Emily is surrounded by a skintight barrier of a relatively strong nature—enough to rebound a few bullets—but a significantly powerful impact can tear it apart and subject her to perhaps even greater injuries. Overuse of her psychokinesis (moving multiple objects at once speeds up the process) can begin to cause migraines and fatigue, and she is currently incapable of lifting herself—the feeling of moving one's own body using an external yet simultaneously internal method is incredibly nauseating for her brain to wrap itself around.
  • Gear: Very little. The only things of note on her person are her smartphone, a pack of headache pills, and a stress ball. Barring these and her wallet (plus whatever else she needs for work depending on the situation), Emily is fairly light in what she carries with her.
  • Backstory: Emily was expected to carry on her father's work from his position as company CEO of the Blackburn Corporation. Thankfully for his legacy, Emily prided herself on fulfilling expectations diligently, and immediately after graduating she began working up the ranks of her father's company in expectation of reaching his position in time to replace him for his coming retirement. With the manifestation of her psychic powers proving a hindrance (and her own struggles to balance her work life with the rest of her life), Emily is finding it harder and harder to find the enthusiasm to continue on in doing what her father already did best. Her psychokinesis growing and her yearning to do what she wants to do growing with it, Emily has made the spontaneous decision to sign up to the Saint Foundation after witnessing the recent tragic events on the news. Now faced with the prospect of working alongside the most strange of strangers and having no idea what she's doing, Emily hopes she hasn't accidentally doomed herself and her company's reputation—even as a small part of her is jumping endlessly for joy at the thought of it.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Owns a dog named Harley, who is so far the only living creature to receive any sort of love and affection from her.
    • The Blackburn Corporation is an endorser of a vast amount of products in Super City, and boasts everything from sponsorships for superheroes, bargain prices for cars and insurance, and chrome office staplers. Strangely, the staplers continue to be their bestselling product.
