I have an idea from a webcomic, but I'll need to do an Archive Binge.
Cross Player seems to be about online personas; I think TBBT works for Cosplay.

As mentioned, 6 depicts Cross Player and should probably not be used for Cosplay.
The description of Cross Player says it's about people whose avatars (online or in-game) are the opposite sex, and that the trope name merely comes from people who cosplay as characters of the opposite sex. Putting 6 on that page would be misleading.
Finally found the comics I was looking for. Panel 2
of this one or panel 1
here (the site may give a NSFW warning but these strips are SFW). Also panel 4
here; this one isn't technically NSFW but shows cosplays of Nami and Boa from One Piece and the last panel's pretty suggestive.

I don't really feel it for the webcomic pics. They're clear, but a bit too text-reliant. I ultimately prefer 6.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:

I can recognize two FMA characters, but to the random reader it doesn't look very out of the ordinary. There are plenty of animes with a lively world inhabited by quirky characters. To the hivemind: is this the kind of trope where it would be better to have a Real Life example?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"
