Multiple realities exist. I know this is a lot to take in, but it's simply a fact. For every reality we exist inside of, there's hundreds of mirrors of that same reality. Every timeline, every dimension, every single thing has mirrors of mirrors of different possibilities.

And sometimes, these possibilities bleed into each other.

What if I told you that there were beings that were capable of shattering the realms of existence and bleeding into others, causing untold havoc and chaos, ruining the world around it and even changing the history of that world itself. Imagine a world whereupon monsters actually won, and the heroes lost.

Well, that's where the defenders come in.

The Defenders, various Riders of different times, past, present and future, of different dimensions who have been chosen by the higher ups in order to maintain the integrity of the Timelines and the Multiverse, whether to ensure the destruction of a villain, the removal of something that does not fit in the selected dimension, and anything and everything in between.

You've been selected to uphold the Multiverse, the Timeline, and to ensure the villains lose, and the heroes win.

Are you up for the task?

If so...let's, Henshin!

...

Defenders is a soft reboot of my Kamen Rider Legacy that ultimately fell due to general disinterest, mostly due to GM induced railroading. Here, the story is in YOUR hands. I simply make the players for you to bounce off of!

The rules are simple: NO canon characters can be Players, however, you can have similar powers to Canon characters, whether it be Drive, Kiva, Agito...everything except for Decade and Zi-O, for blatantly obvious reasons.

In addition, no god modding and the most important, have fun!

  • Name: Nancy Weaver, Kamen Rider Seamstress
  • Age: 15
  • Appearance:
    • Nancy is a (5 ft. 2 in. 120 lbs.) 15-year-old girl with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair that reaches to her waist.
    • When untransformed, Nancy wears a white T-shirt under a gray zip-up hoodie, tan trousers, white socks with sneakers, and she uses her magic needle as a hairstick to put her hair in an simple updo.
  • Personality: Nancy behaves very maturely for her age, looking out for others. She's still cheerful and idealistic underneath it all, however. Her greatest dream is for the whole world to be friends, but since it's childish, she doesn't say it out loud very often. She becomes very motivated whenever someone tells her something is impossible.
  • History: Nancy is the daughter of Taylor Weaver, who works as a seamstress. Her father left them when she was a toddler, which motivated Nancy to swear to never abandon anyone. She wants to follow in her mother's footsteps. Recently, she found a magic needle that gave her powers, just in time for the news to report that sinister things were afoot. To protect her mother and her city, she became Kamen Rider Seamstress.
    The Real Story

Once upon a time, there were these beings called Unravelers, who were created and put in charge of the Threads of Fate and the Fabric of Time and Space by the gods.

Two particular Unravelers were great friends, calling each other "brother." (They borrowed the term from the humans, since they felt that it fit—neither minded the gender connotations since Unravelers didn't really have a gender, instead taking on whatever forms they wished.) The fact that one was the strongest and the other was the weakest didn't matter to them.

Atro, the strongest Unraveler, felt that it was necessary to bind humans to their Threads forever, ensuring that everyone would follow their life paths obediently.

Taelr, the weakest Unraveler, disagreed. He thought that humans should receive more freedom and free will, so that they could rise above what was expected of them and grow stronger.

Atro thought that Taelr should listen to him because he was the stronger one. Taelr obviously considered this a breach of friendship and left him after a bitter quarrel.

Eventually, all of the Unravelers sided with Atro, and he named two lieutenants amongst them—Lechez, the second strongest, and Klothos, the third strongest. The Unravelers cut the Threads of Fate of the gods—for even they are bound with it—and left them a-slumbering until the time when their threads would be repaired. They desecrated the Threads and Fabric they used to protect, and lost the ability to repair them, only being able to destroy and cut, cut, and cut some more.

The Unravelers thought they could crush Taelr easily, but Taelr was clever. He was always on the move, he had many forms, and he was not afraid to trick or betray to get his way. He grew stronger, and stronger, and stronger still, until he was at least as powerful as Atro, perhaps even more.

A terrible battle ensued. Atro and his Unraveler army were imprisoned in another dimension by powerful magic. They would only ever manage to return by hacking away at the magic cloth that bound them there, but it would be painfully slow going. Thus the world was returned to peace.

Taelr sealed his power away after the battle in a needle and five thimbles to prevent himself from abusing it. The needle and thimbles were left to a worthy successor, decided by unknown factors.

In ascending order of power granted to the user, the thimbles were called the Pinky Thimble, Ring Thimble, Middle Thimble, Pointer Thimble, and Thumb Thimble. If worn all at once while using the needle, the user could become as strong as Taelr at his peak.

If they were male, they would be titled "Tailor," after him. If they were female, they would be called "Seamstress," after the artificial human-Unraveler hybrid he and Atro were working on as their pet project.

Some loose ends were not tied up, like what happened to the uncompleted homunculus. Taelr took it with him when he fled, but it hasn't been seen since, and no one knows if he finished it or not. Taelr and what became of him is also unknown.

  • Kamen Rider Powers:
    • Trinkets:
      • Her magic needle gives her powers and clothes. It's the size of a knitting needle and turns into an impossibly sharp rapier when she transforms. If Nancy exerts her will in a particularly dire situation, the rapier will wreath itself in blue flames to grant itself even more cutting power. Even if someone takes it away from Nancy, they will not be able to use it—it requires Nancy's permission.
    • Forms: Doesn't have any at the moment due to inexperience.
    • Appearance: When transformed, Nancy wears a white short-sleeved button-up shirt under a leather jerkin, a white frilly knee-length underskirt, a dark blue knee-length overskirt, woolen knee-high socks under knee-high leather boots, a white mob cap with a dark blue ribbon tied in a bow, leather fingerless gloves, and a belt for her rapier, Needle. Her hair is also let down, and she gains a blue Battle Aura when sufficiently determined.
  • General Powers:
    • Mystic Flight: Can fly at a top speed of 150 mph.
    • Mystic Passage: Can teleport within a 500 ft. radius, and a 5 mi. radius with sufficient concentration
    • Mystic Blast: Can fire a bolt of magical energy with varying sizes, but it will tire Nancy out (the most powerful of which is a giant MAGICANNON)
    • Mystic Inspiration: Can inspire hope in comrades and strengthen them, but Nancy must be feeling hopeful herself
    • Mystic Weave: Can summon very strong threads in varying thicknesses for various purposes
      • Can also be woven into simple shapes to form constructs
      • Can cast spells by making Cat's Cradle shapes with her threads, such as:
        • STARBRIGHT: A flash of light for blinding enemies
        • LODESTAR: Summons a beacon of light
        • STARSPARK: A blast with Nancy at the epicenter with a 10 ft. radius
        • STARFIRE: An AOE burst of mystic fire in front of Nancy
        • NIGHTCLOAK: Gives Nancy camouflage during daytime and true invisibility during nighttime, lasts a maximum of 1 hour
          • More spells can be discovered with sufficient trial-and-error
  • Weaknesses:
    • Anti-Magic: Nancy's powers run on magic, so Anti-Magic will effectively null them if the power level of the Anti-Magic exceeds her power level.
    • Trinket Required: Nancy needs the needle to transform. Taking it away will make her powerless.
  • Miscellaneous:
    The Unravelers

These are Nancy's main enemy, who seek to "unravel the strings of fate and tear the fabric of space and time" for their own gains. They take various forms ranging from demonic-looking spiders to puppet-masters, but they have a few things in common: they have a string/cloth motif, and either they and/or their minions will be wielding some kind of uncannily sharp implement.

By cutting a string of fate, they can send a person's life careening wildly off course, effectively stealing that person's luck and the spiritual fruits of their life to gain more power. To reverse this, Nancy has to find both cut ends of the string and join them together again with her magic.

By tearing the fabric of space and time, they will be able to alter the laws of reality and change the course of history, which can have disastrous consequences on the world if the tears are left alone for long enough. To prevent any adverse effects from happening, Nancy has to sew the tears shut with her magic needle.

For some mysterious reason, they have come to Nancy's home city to cause trouble. Thankfully, Nancy is there to stop them, but she's still a little inexperienced. Only time will tell if she will be able to stop them...

    The Cloak of Power

This is a cloak made out of likewise pilfered and bargained-for Threads of Fate. If worn, it will exponentially increase the wearer's power. Since humans do not know how to utilize the power of the Threads, only an Unraveler can use it properly.

The individual pieces are ready, all seven of them—but the Unravelers still need to sew them together, which is something that they can't do. They need Nancy's needle, which they can't use. Therefore, they need Nancy to sew the pieces together.

Whether they will be able to threaten, cajole, bribe, or otherwise get her to do it remains to be seen...

  • Name: Kenshi Arashi, Kamen Rider Estleo

  • Age: 18

  • Appearance: Gentlemen.

  • Personality: Quiet, kindhearted, rather reserved and polite most of the time, but Kenshi is actually quite hotblooded, with some rashness evident, no matter how calm he tries to appear. As Estleo, he takes a more theatrical behavior and can come off as somewhat arrogant.

  • History: Kenshi is, currently a college student, kendo practitioner, aspiring writer and fantasy aficionado. By his own knowledge, that shouldn't have changed too much. If only he knew. His father Tatsuya, helping a friend ended up involved in an incident in the mystery of Ossu City, the Phantom Ruins, in which they found a strange device and had to stop a monster from entering the world. The Estleo Driver came to their hands, and Tatsuya used it to keep things from worsening, although the gear nearly killed him. Several years later, with the man owning a bookstore, the arrival of the Dukeps for a second time, Kenshi took the role of Estleo, and the mission to keep the world from being completely transformed, alongside his friends.

  • Kamen Rider Powers:

    • Trinkets: Estleo Driver, looking like a book with a lion on the cover with two slots inside. One for a Ride Relic and a Beast Relic. The Ride Relic is a small figurine/key representing an RPG class and is the main part of the transformation. The Beast Relic are smaller and represent an animal, capable of giving weaponry to Estleo. Every pair has a Synergy Boost, which, when the right pair is used, the power increases. The Driver is fit on a special belt and contains info on both the forms Kenshi managed to obtain and the enemies encountered.

  • Forms:

    • Fighter/Lion: The Base form and the one Kenshi feels more comfortable using. With good strength and endurance, it comes with the red sword, the Beast King Blade, now capable of emitting a more potent swirling gold energy. The ability given by this combo is “Counter”, letting Kenshi read an attack step by step and determine how to strike on just the right moment.
    • Rogue/Scorpion: Made to move fast and be sneak in any place, but lacks the ability of going head on, as it lacks raw physical power. It can go invisible for moments. The weapon is the Stinger Chainer, a kusari-gama that becomes very poisonous. The ability is “Detect”, which lets him see what’s hidden (mainly traps).
    • Cleric/Ram: More to the support side, the Cleric is made not for combat, as it’s the weakest in sheer physical stats. But it comes with the special skill of purifying and healing people, “Salve”. The Ram Strike is a staff made to boost that power, still, it has limits on what it can accomplish, and death is still death.

    • Appearance: The Estleo outfits comes always with a Lionine helmet with an amber visor. The Fighter Form is a red armored form with a black undersuit, with the Lion Beast Relic gives it a lion head in one shoulder and claws on the other, as a red symbol of a lion appears on the chest. Rogue Form is purple, with a cloak and a scorpion stinger coming out of his shoulder. And Cleric form is white, with a half cape and emulates a religious visage. Can come with a Ram head. His Rider Machine is the Roar Special, a lion themed machine masquerading as a rather old but powerful bike. Beyond its speed, it can run on vertical surfaces, upside down and can get weapons and powers with the Beast Relics.

    • General Powers: Beyond being superhuman, he has the ability to prevent or stop any attempt to forcibly change the world, and has some form of immunity to fate changing powers.
