"Sh-Should we go after them?" says Jack.
What did they get here? The bird? (Wanda asks)
"Oh no..." Rena whispers. "If they did, we have to do something! We can't let something happen to the robin!"
Peter gulps. "That's right... it's such a rare bird, and our whole trip here would have been for nothing," he says. "This is giving me a bad feeling, guys. I'm going to go in there and check."

Peter, for the love of god, be careful!
Peter continues walking down the tunnel as quietly as he can, eventually reaching a left turn into what appears to be a large cavern. To the right is an exit to the cave, and a bit of sunlight is coming in through. He squints. There are two figures up ahead, but before he can make them out clearly, they head outside.
Peter quickly follows the two mysterious figures, coming out on top of a cliff overlooking the jungle. The sun is setting by now. As Peter looks around, a loud screech is heard coming from above. The others inside the cave may hear it too.
Peter looks up upon hearing the screech and soon sees the source: an enormous bird with red and black feathers, at least twice his size, flying in circles some thirty feet above the cliff.
"Aah!" he shouts. "What is that?!"
"Yikes!" Jack shouts.
Staring at the bird, he wonders out loud. "That giant salamander turned out to be pretty friendly. Maybe this thing will be friendly too?"
Is that the bird we're looking for? (Wanda asks.) If it is, I thought it'd be smaller...
"No," says Rena. "That definitely isn't it, but... but look! That other bird it's following!"
"Other bird...?" says Peter. "AH!"
He then sees what Rena is talking about. The screeching, giant red bird is chasing a much smaller one with light blue plumage and a golden tail. The smaller bird appears to be fleeing for its life.
Krista ducks for cover as she watches the bugger bird chase after th smaller one.
What do we do...? What do we do?!
It's then that another voice speaks up — undoubtedly one of the voices that had been heard in the cavern just now.
"Ah... looks like our avian friend is busy chasing his next meal. I guess now we just wait for him to be done with that."
The one speaking is further ahead on the cliff, also looking at the scene above them: a weasel in a purple cloak and hat. Accompanying him is a large, intimidating-looking rhinoceros in armor.
"They did this?" Jack is horrified. Against his better judgment, he calls out
"Hey! Leave that bird alone!"
Jack realizes that he probably shouldn't have gotten their attention, and is horrified.
Krista starts to shirk away, terrified of what could be happening next.
(These folks letting their...is it their pet? Whatever it is, that they are letting it terrorize the defenseless little bird makes Wanda see red and, feeling that their cover has probably been blown already, stands up.)
Yo, get your...pet? to leave that poor little bird alone! (She says.)
"Yeah!" says Peter.
"Aah, what's difference?" the weasel says in a dismissive tone, twirling his hat on one finger. "We got the crystal we were looking for, and I don't need the bird to get back, so... you don't mind if I go on ahead, do you, my grouchy friend?"
"...Do what you want," says the rhino without looking at him.
Krista watches on, still with worry, and perhaps unable to even find a word that can accurately describe how she feels in this situation.
"Ahaha... well, I shall be on my way, then," says the weasel, taking a bow. "Perhaps we shall meet again? Until then... adios, my friends!"
"Wait!" says Peter, but to no avail. The weasel twirls his cloak around himself, and the next moment, he's... vanished somehow.
How did he do that...!!
The giant red bird screeches again as it chases the crystal robin.
"Hey!" Peter says to the rhinoceros. "Tell your bird to stop that! Who are you, anyway?"
"What business do you have on this island?" says the rhino, ignoring Peter's question.
Well, she was looking for that bird. (Wanda says, gesturing to Rena.)
Why do you even want the bird?
"...The bird?" says the rhino. "I have no interest in it, unlike Redwing there, it seems. In any case..."
He puts a hand to his mouth and whistles, causing the giant red bird to stop in its tracks. It flaps its wings in place for a bit, then swoops down to pick up the rhino, who grabs onto its talons. The smaller bird flees to the safety of a nearby tree.
"Oh, thank goodness," says Rena, running over to the tree to check on the robin.
"I'm not doing this out of kindness," says the rhino. "I just have no reason to stay on this island any longer. Farewell."
With that, the giant red bird begins to fly away from the cliff, carrying the rhino with it.

"Darn!" Jack says as the rhino leaves. "If only those guys could have told us who they are. Are they working for Gregory or something?"
It wouldn't surprise me that much. (Wanda remarks, looking up at the small bird.)
Gregory wasss probably the one who sssent them on thisss "mission" asss far asss I'm concerned.
