ITT: We're Animals in a Post-Apocalyptic Town

Okay, which one do we need to attack first? (Wanda asks, looking between the four copies in worry.)

Uh...get the one thatsss doing whatever the other three aren't!

Jack looks at the four copies intently, trying to find a difference between them.

As they circle the group, each of the four creatures begins charging up energy with their hands, forming large balls of light. They appear to be preparing to attack.

"D-dang it... what to do..." says Peter.

Meanwhile, while examining the creatures, Jack may notice that the light from Wanda's spell has brightened the room up enough to show that only one of the four has a visible shadow.

"There! Get that one!" Jack shouts, pointing to the one with the shadow.

Krista lunges on to the figure with the shadow, biting down.

Once Krista bites down on the creature with the shadow, its spell is interrupted, and the other three figures disappear.

"That's it! Good job, guys!" Peter says to Jack and Krista.

However, the monster appears not to be defeated yet. It raises its hand and emits what looks like a ring of electricity from it. The ring grows larger until it has encircled Peter, Jack, Wanda, Krista, and the rest of the group, separating them and the monster from Professor Diggs.

"Interesting..." says Jack, clearly terrified.

What isss thisss? Why are you doing thiss?

Krista asks, also terrified.

(Wanda is clearly very nervous as she attempts to prepare an electricity spell.)

The creature emits a gust of wind towards Peters from its hands.

"Whoa!" says Peter, trying to maintain his footing as he is pushed backwards.

"Be careful!" yells Professor Diggs from the back of the room. "I don't think you want to touch that barrier!"

(Wanda digs her claws into the floor as tightly as she can when the wind blows and lets loose the electricity spell toward the figure.) Sizz!

Jack puts his arm around Peter's shoulder and tries to help him push against the wind.

Krista doesn't have arms, hence the fact r that she starts to get blown back.

"Hold on, Krista!" says Peter as he sees her being blown back. While still holding onto Jack with one hand, Peter tries to grab Krista with his other one.

Meanwhile, Wanda's spell connects with the creature, immobilizing it for a good few seconds. It appears to have been effective, and the creature's wind attack weakens a bit. However, it seems to be recovering already.

"Get him!" says Jack, trying to hit the creature with his wrench.

Krista holds on for dear life as Peter gets her. Once she gets back down she lunges for the creature again and tries once more to bite down.

Jack's wrench hits the creature right in the head, causing it to stumble backwards—and sending right into the electric ring behind it. A flash briefly lights up the room as the monster is electrocuted by its own barrier, leaving it severely dazed and weakened.

Krista's bite then proves to be the finishing blow. The creature collapses to the ground and disappears in a puff of smoke, leaving behind the crystal from the ruins that it had been holding.

With its originator gone, the electric barriers flickers for a second, then vanishes. The lab returns to its normal state, aside from the mess of upturned tables and instruments lying around.

Whoa... (Wanda says, leaning against a nearby wall, a bit winded.)

Woah....did I kill that guy?

"Professor!" says Jack, looking around for Diggs.

"Good gracious," says Professor Diggs, approaching the group. "Are you fellows all right?"

"Yeah," says Peter. "You guys did really well," he adds to Jack, Wanda and Krista.

"It looks like I owe you another one," says Diggs. "These are the adventurers who helped me at the ruins yesterday," he explains to the assistants who are with him.

Nice to meet all of you..

"No problem, Professor. We're glad you're all okay."
