ITT: We're Animals in a Post-Apocalyptic Town

(And so, Donna opens the front door and lets everyone out.)
"Goodbye, everyone! Come back anytime."
(Donna then smiles and waves at the gang.)

(Wanda shrugs. She figures she could get to know Krista better anyway.) Well, okay. Whenever you're ready, I live in the small neighborhood on the other side of town. Next to the little general store. Of course, I guess you can follow me there now if you're ready to call it a night already.

I mean, I am ready to go now. I sssuppossse we could get to know each other a little better on the way.

"Well..." says Jack. "If you all don't mind, I should be going home. See you all later!"

"See you, Jack!" says Peter, smiling.

"Bye!"

Sure, yeah. Let’s go. (Wanda says, starting to head off toward home. She turns to Peter, Jack, and anyone else not going with her.) See you guys later!

"You too!" says Jack, waving goodbye.

Krista waves back to the others and continues on with Wanda.

Whatsss your houssse like?

Well...it's...it's nice enough. (Wanda says as she leads Krista on.) I've got a bed, a kitchen...the bare necessities, you know?

Oh, I see. Well, I don't mind regsrdlesss.

The Next Day

The morning starts out fairly quiet, without much movement on the way to the square. Once Peter arrives there, however, he sees that the people there seem to be panicked about something, and there seem to be more guards around than usual.

Instead of going to look at the job postings, he approaches the crowd to see if he can find out what is going on.

(The twins are also there)

"What in the world is happening?!"

"Peter!"

Jack runs over to his new friend.

"What's happening? Anton is panicking back at home from all this..."

"Jack, good to see you!" says Peter. "I-I don't know what's going on, I just got here myself. Hang on, I'll ask someone..."

He approaches a mouse in the nearest group of bystanders.

"Excuse me, what's going on? Did something happen?"

"It looks like the monsters got into town," says the mouse.

"Wait, what?!" Peter asks, startled. "Where?"

"In the university. They're trying to contain them for now, but you should probably head home for your own safety."

(It’s at this point that Wanda (likely with Krista following her) shows up to the chaos going on in the center of town.)

Uh...did we miss something? (She asks.)

Cameron would arrive at the town centre.

"Wait, what's happening?"

"M-monsters in town," says Peter, walking back over to the others. "They just told me. They got into the university somehow."

"Professor Diggs!" says Jack. "What about him? I hope he's okay..."

Krista is in fact accompanying Wanda.

We gotta get there and figure out if hesss okay!

Wait, for real?? (Wanda says, two parts shocked and two parts nervous.) Well, what are we waiting for? For the monsters to tear the professor up? We should see if we can get him outta there!

"Yeah, Wanda's right! We should get to the professor before he gets hurt!"

Yeah, let'sss go!

Krista says, craning her body and trying to move in the direction of the university.

"Y-yeah, we've got to go!" says Peter. "Follow me, guys!"

How in the world did this happen? he thinks.

The group quickly heads to the campus, which is only a couple of streets away. Arriving there, they see that the gates have been left open. Peter looks around at the various buildings, wondering where they should check first.

"Ah, dang... where do we look?" he says. "I don't see anyone around... Ah, look! Over there!"

He points to a group of people over by the entrance of a nearby building and begins to head in their direction.

(Wanda follows, a bit worried about what these people waiting outside are going to tell them.)
