As the others dive out of the way, Peter tries to think of what to do. He tries to hold his footing as the beetle approaches, hoping to grab onto one of its legs, or a wing or something.
The beetle rams into him, but he manages to avoid the full force of the impact because it was distracted by the others. Peter manages to grab one of its forelegs, but still loses his footing and is knocked onto his back. The bug's giant wings buzz loudly as it struggles to pull free. The creature is much stronger than him and Peter knows he can't hold on for long.
"Guys, now!" he says. "Try attacking it now!"

(Wanda would much rather follow Krista's suggestion of simply escaping, but nevertheless, she tries to follow Peter's directions. She readies a fireball spell (hoping she doesn't end up hitting Peter in the process).)
Incinerate! (She cries, flinging a moderately-sized fireball at the bug. It noticeably shrinks in size as it gets to the bug.) Crap...!

(Donna trembles for a bit before doing some of her best karate moves on the bug.)

Jack hits the beetle with his wrench, but it doesn't do much against the beetle's hard exoskeleton. Panicking, Jack sinks his teeth into the beetle.

The beetle buzzes and is thrown off balance when the first attack hits it, allowing Peter to get out from under it. In the process, he manages to wound its soft underside with his claws. Everyone's attacks hit it one after the other, and it become dizzy and backs up slowly.

He runs at the beetle and slashes at it with his claws again.

With this next wave of attacks, the beetle finally collapses in defeat. In a puff of smoke, it vanishes, leaving nothing behind, as monsters did when defeated.
"Phew," says Peter, after stopping for a moment to catch his breath. "We did it! You all did great, guys."

"You... you mean it?" Jack sighs in relief. "Wow... the most I've ever done myself is get away from one of them. I never would've thought we could actually beat one."

"Yeah, me too..." says Peter. "I just hope we don't run into any more monsters."
Professor Diggs goes through the door into the next chamber and Peter follows him.
